RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Fisher - Sep 21 2015

As Bevy left Fisher alone, his body seemed to rapidly recover-- patching up even some of his burns. The deeper wounds would still need quite a bit of time to recover, but he gasped for air as he stirred, coughing out the sickness in his lungs. The air was fresh here, and for a moment, the coolness of the air reminded him of Cetus-- enough that he thought he might be home.

But he wasn't. He blinked around blearily, spotting the huge white noodle, the smell of blood thick in the air. What had happened? He had to peer around a bit more, but he realized that he had been taken away from the battle... And for now, he was safe.

"... Black?" He woofed, softly. Makyna was there-- Leon was there-- Bevy was there. Most of Pisces. Had they come to reclaim him? A groan escaped from his chest and he stretched out, feeling the soreness of his body. He doubted he could move very far, and it would probably mess him up worse, but he wanted to find his friend first... Make sure he had gotten out okay. His eyes settled on a dark blur towards the entrance of the tunnel, backlit by the fires of Polaris, and made another short, quiet bark, "Black?"

RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Eve - Sep 21 2015

The inky-black figure practically plummeted into the tunnel, quickly scrambling and scratching against the floor. Wide-eyed, the crow looked around before she hobbled quickly towards Bevy, although not touching her as she worked on Leon. Regardless, Eve squawked. "Hey-- Hey, HEY! My family's dyin' you need to tell me how to help 'em!"

The crow began to pace around in a circle, talons clacking loudly as the crow began to chortle and croak to herself. Many times she stopped and looked out into Polaris with flat feathers before she resumed her pacing, waiting frantically for Bevy to finish.

RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Black - Sep 21 2015

Black whipped his head back to stare at Fisher as the mustelid called his name. He was relieved, briefly, but he did not show it, did not thank Bevy. They were too busy--as was he.

"I am here. I must stay here. I must be ready to shroud us, should he return. I am glad that you yet live," he added, echoing sentiments he'd given not too long ago, after the attack of a different dragon.

He spoke briskly and matter-of-factly, still guarding, still at the ready. He glanced toward Baratheon, eyeing him, making sure the dragon wasn't up to anything, then looked out, again. But he continued speaking, loudly, his words carrying back down the tunnel.

"Aquarian spoke of Nemean. A betrayer. The buzzing of Cetus. Of the tunnels. The Thing-That-Fled. Fisher, it is here."

Black went silent again, staring into Polaris, motionless and silent.

RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Leon - Sep 21 2015

Leon noticed that a great deal of the fighters from Polaris had already made it into the tunnel. Those of them that didn't suffer too much damage were trying to help those that did - he spotted the black dog taking Fisher to Bevy, noting the mustelid's severe wounds. His heart twisted in sympathy, but his attention quickly returned back to Makyna - then he remembered seeing the turquoise chrysalis. Amaria. He didn't want to think about it. Maybe he'd find Cancer and ask him if Amaria had gone back. It was his fault. The bear tried to push the thought aside, he didn't say anything to Makyna. Hell if he was right, then... No, she didn't need that weighing on her mind.

She called for him and Leon hauled the massive dragon over, eventually slumping the beast onto the ground with a sigh. His shoulders ached and he stopped to catch his breath, only for Bevy to flutter over and ask his help with Baratheon. Leon nodded and did as he was told, lifting the dragon's head with his paws. He heard Eve call out, asking for help. "Bevy, I need to go back and pull out anybody else thats hurt." The bear looked to her, worried. He would do anything else she asked of him for Baratheon, but after that he had to hurry back.

RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Delphine - Sep 21 2015

Delphine's head drooped dangerously low to the ground, her every step dragging perilously against the damp floors as she limped into the tunnel where Bevy had created a temporary healing station. By then she'd long stopped seeing or hearing all that went on about her and though she desperately wanted to see to Baratheon's condition, the most concern she could afford the dragon was a physical closeness that would bring her own sable form to his side. Just once her eyes narrowed to see past the haze that had come upon her if only to inspect his wounds and drink in the sight of the gore before she slowly but surely lowered herself against his arched neck. There she exhaled a small groan before resting her own head just atop his pale, blood-soaked nape and therein closed her eyes.

Not once had she thought to call for help for she had seen what the chaos dragon had done unto others. They required far more attention than she and being no stranger to the pain that now pressed and anchored itself along all parts of her body, the equine merely closed her eyes and rested then. The natural chill that permeated Tunnel O was miraculous in its efforts to numb her in its entirety so that she could no longer feel the qualms of her broken hind-leg (its severity unknown), the cuts and bruises scattered upon all facets of her body and nearly unseeable against her onyx pelt, the broken ribs, or even the head trauma from her power that had backfired terribly. She should have asked for help but instead, her lips parted and she crooned to her dear friend, "It's okay, Theon. Everything will be okay."

Then a silence fell upon her as Bevy and the others tended to the dragon whilst she succumbed to the darkness by his side.

exit delpine!

RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Makyna - Sep 21 2015

The lioness stayed at the dog's side, treating his wounds with the moss and her magick. She didn't know when it happened but even more wounded creatures showed up, the heavy scent of blood clogged the air. Yes... This would be a helluva long day. The dog didn't answer her question but she took that as a sign that he was relatively alright despite the various bruises and cuts. After they were clean she dropped the bloody moss on the ground and dipped her head to the canine. "Excuse me... There are others." With that she left his side and went over to Leon's. He was holding the dragon's head up but was speaking of others that needed help.

She reached her magick out to help Leon and hold the dragon's head herself but instead it was too sharp a pull of magick and it ended up jerking Baratheon's head awkwardly. Disgusted with her actions she released her hold on the magick and allowed Baratheon's head to drift back as it had been. She'd just have to do this the old fashioned way. The lioness walked up with an apologetic dip of her head. "Sorry! Sorry! Um, I'll take a hold of his head so you can go get the others, Leon." She stood next to the bear, ready to take the weight of the dragon's head on her back.

RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Leon - Sep 21 2015

Leon was waiting for an answer from Bevy when the dragon's massive head gave a sudden jerk, and Leon widened his eyes, letting go of him for a moment under the assumption that he had awoken. Looking down at the beast, he soon found him still unconscious but Makyna was now coming up to them apologizing. Whatever - he's still out, it should be fine. The bear focused on his fiance, offering a small smile of relief knowing that she was alright despite all the earthquakes and the heat. She offered to take over and he allowed her, shimmying out of the way before leaning over and giving her a nudge with his nose against her cheek. "I'll be back. I'm going to look for anybody else that needs help." He said and turned, venturing back into Polaris. Hopefully everybody would be well on their way to returning to their respective homes, or headed to the tunnel for healing - and hopefully no one else had fallen victim to the dragon's aggression.

(exit Leon, he's gone to scour Polaris)

RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Black - Sep 22 2015

Black lay quiet at the tunnel's entrance for a time, before finally coming back down the tunnel.

He gave Fisher a gentle nudge, then licked along his head, then lay down, himself.

"I will look over the cave. Aquarian's betrayer calls. But I must also rest," he stated simply, before laying his heavy head down beside his friend.

It seemed the medics had their work cut out for them, and so he did not ask for aid, but his wounds still seeped blood, and the smell of burned flesh still came strongly from him.

enna
sweet and soft
ooc ;; SO MUCH WORK

There was a whole lot to do and not a lot of time to do it. Makyna tried to help her and nearly zonked the dragon enough more-- Leon commented that he had to go get any others that were left... The thought made her head spin but she buckled down for the moment, and worked on getting Baratheon's shiny new eyepatch in place-- her body was shaking and she couldn't seem to get it in place, her body flopping on the white noodle's face, her feet tangled in vines. Nevermind that everyone and their friend was here now, some of them panicking or just lowkey anxious-- the air was tense, like right before a storm. She was half afraid that the huge dragon they were fighting would come bursting down the tunnel at any second, but a few of them stood guard.

Her eyes flitted over to @Eve -- confusion filling her. Was that Krakarak? Was Aza'zel and Giggle and the rest in the fight too? She didn't like the sound of that, but she had her wings busy with too much to spend much time worrying about it. "Leon can help you, Krak-- bring them here," came her answer, brushing the thought away.

There was more-- a horse-- wait. She knew this horse. "Delphine," her peep came soft, quiet among the buzzing noise of a dozen gembounds trying to get through the pain of a battle. Trying her best to stay calm. "Would you like to help? Get some moss and wash out Theon's wounds, please," she told the foal, though it filled her with fright to see that the young one was hurt. Who had let her go out there? She should have done more...

The more she looked, the worst @Delphine seemed. She shook her head as the filly just about passed out herself, and flew off to get more moss. So much work. There were so many. Not enough paws to help. Why had this happened-- how had she let this happen.

RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Fisher - Sep 22 2015

Fisher had drifted off to sleep, at least until the heavy pawsteps of his friend came back, and a nudge followed by a lick had been washed across his head. He stirred, groaning, but his wounds were probably the most taken care of out of anyone else there. His eyes focused on his friends, words coming in one ear and nearly slipping out the other.

"... You said... Nemean was there?" He asked dreamily, having distant memories of what his friend had said to him. The mustelid rather suddenly became aware of Black's bloody wounds and burnt fur. He sniffed, ears twitching, and carefully curled into the mastiff, starting to lick at his matted coat, hoping he could make a difference in easing the dog's pain.

Quietly, he wondered where Fallah was. He hadn't meant to leave her behind, alone, for so long. He hoped she was alright. He was such a terrible friend...
