RE: ;; the harvest bonfire - Nemesis - Sep 17 2015
Nemesis ![]() Satisfied at the fire burning in her eyes, the scorched smell of flesh, Nemesis let the fire die in her throat. Baratheon wrenched her away, and although he couldn't quite toss her, her head was jerked one way, revealing her neck-- and in fright, she stumbled back, her flames cut off. Her tongue was scorched, her lungs filled with smoke, but she held back the desire to cough. It was a fight. She couldn't show weakness for a moment. Backing off, she lined up another charge, and didn't hesitate for a moment. She kept her head low, her frill flat across her neck, and her tail propelled her, keeping her balance, as she reared towards the beast. She didn't care what she hit, so long as she gored him, so she put all of her effort into this one bolting rush, her body aching with the pain of magic unleashed on her insides. She couldn't keep setting herself on fire if she wanted to win this fight. { FIGHT STATISTICS }
@Baratheon RE: ;; the harvest bonfire - Baratheon - Sep 17 2015 BARATHEON "the world is mine for the taking" He managed to wrench the beast's head to the side with the force of his turn but it wasn't enough to send her flying. He had to do more if he wanted to get her away from him, out of the flagrant area of his scorched stomach. He needed distance, he needed some space to calm the Bloodlust burning in his mind. The fever was coming and it was fueled by the pain she was causing. He didn't let go of her horns, no, not even when she was tossing and throwing her head or when she charged again. However, it might have been a better idea if he had for her flailing horns and thundering hooves pushed him back more. This time he was unable to keep a grip with one of his paws and she managed to slice him right across his scorched stomach. Pain seared across his belly and he roared with the discomfort. The haze crept back at the edge of his vision, it was starting to mask the pain but it was also masking some of his thoughts. He shook his head and roared again, the instinctual part of him starting to take over. "NO!" He was unsure if he was yelling in reply to Nem's words, saying it in reply to the oncoming Bloodlust, or if he was just roaring it to say something. But it roared from his throat in less of an intelligible word and more of a feral noise. for Dominance Attack: Use Vacuum to throw Nem away. Defense: Holding onto Nem's horns, digging his claws into the ground and flaring his wings for balance. Injuries: Scorched belly scales. Gash in stomach. Nemesis ![]() The dragon roared and her body gave out from under her, a great wave of energy pushing her practically off of her feet-- she stumbled, his grip on her horns the only thing that kept her from flying back. Her body slumped to the ground, a grunt escaping her lips, followed by a cough, but even through her smoke-choked lungs, she managed to focus on the fight. She slammed her tail into the ground, the massive limb helping to haul her up, and she tried to wrench away her horns, trying to tear at his claws in the process. He wanted her away, well fine then! But the rest of her was too thick headed to give a cave rat's ass. { FIGHT STATISTICS }
@Baratheon RE: ;; the harvest bonfire - Baratheon - Sep 17 2015 BARATHEON "the world is mine for the taking" Blood ran down his belly, soaking the ground beneath him but it was his own and the scent didn't affect him. Only the pain which was slowly clouding his thoughts. Get away! He wanted her away but she wasn't away yet! His claws were still on her horns and the spell hadn't been strong enough. If he let go though she would gore him, if he tried to turn then she would stab him. He needed to blast her and let her go to ensure that he didn't get gored in the whole process. How? Then, he felt her yanking and pulling as she no longer tried to gore him but instead tried to break away. He felt his grip loosening as her strong body pulled from him. However, he wouldn't just let her go like that. No. He would help her along her way. While he let her yank herself away, he nearly overbalanced himself and fell in the process, he opened his mouth and prepared a blast to hopefully push her further away so that she couldn't turn too quickly and gore him again. He felt the energy slide past his fangs as he aimed to push her further away. He dug his foreclaws back into the earth, on all fours once again. It hurt to dig them into the ground now as the trino managed to damage the bottom of his paws in her violent breakaway. for Dominance Attack: Push Nem away while she breaks free! Defense: Digging his claws into the ground and flaring his wings for balance. Injuries: Scorched belly scales. Gash in stomach. Claws and paws sore and torn from being yanked and pulled at. Nemesis ![]() Nemesis wrenched herself free with a snort, and was about to spit a sick burn in the pastel noodle's face, when that burst she had felt before hit her again, but this time twice as hard. Her body was thrust to the nearest wall, a grunt escaping her teeth as she felt the flare of pain up her side. She was still standing though, if barely. Bracing against the wall, she glared at the dragon and roared a final warning, There was a sense of desperate bravery to the rhino, all too apparent in her reckless charging. { FIGHT STATISTICS }
@Baratheon RE: ;; the harvest bonfire - Baratheon - Sep 17 2015 BARATHEON "the world is mine for the taking" The dragon lifted his torn paws and looked at them briefly while Nemesis was thrown away.They were bleeding slightly which only served to fan the flames of his anger even more but he didn't want to lose control here. This was not the enemy, the black demon in the other room was. He clenched his claws into fists while he lifted his head and stared valiantly at the stubborn trino. His teeth were bared and his ears pinned as he glared at her. Anger... the haze... It was starting but he shook his head. Keep cool. Focus. Next room... That was the real fight. "You... idiot... You are the only monster here... I will kill that black dragon... He won't hurt me or my brother or anyone ever again! And you... won't... stop... me..." His words hissed from between his fangs as a growl. He lowered back down to all fours and dug his claws into the earth, stiffening his muscles and preparing to take the full weight of the rhino as he had done before. However, he wouldn't catch her horns with his paws. He instead hoped to stop her charge with his own horns and the thick fur at his head. Unknown to him magic was building in those horns, an instinctual thing that was not flagrant but would hopefully aid him in his endeavor. He snarled, one paw scratching at the earth as he anticipated the blow from the she-monster. However, the magic failed and he caught the blow full force on his horns. The blow jarred his neck and sent a painful shock of pain to his head and up the back of his neck. He grunted and felt himself pushed backwards, claws grating over the ground. for Dominance Attack: None Defense: Transfer energy into his horns to counter her charge and hopefully push her away. Claws are dug into the ground and muscles are tensed. Injuries: Scorched belly scales. Gash in stomach. Claws and paws sore and torn from being yanked and pulled at. Headache. Painful back of neck. Nemesis ![]() She shoved him back, feeling the gain of her position. And then she would right the wrongs that had happened, the pain that had befalled her lovely family. She didn't even so much hate Baratheon-- a heavily suppressed part of her recognized that they were not so much unalike. They both had someone they cared so much, prone to violence and anger, huge monsters that were, frankly, understood. But he had hurt her family. He had hurt her. { FIGHT STATISTICS }
@Baratheon RE: ;; the harvest bonfire - Baratheon - Sep 17 2015 BARATHEON "the world is mine for the taking" His claws grated against the ground, trying to gain traction on the earth but ultimately failing. He clenched his fangs and snarled at the bull-headed beast. "Thick-headed... Buffoon! He would have killed us all... He almost killed you!" Didn't she see that that thing needed to be put down? What did she have some sort of perverse attraction to it? That wasn't right! It was a terrible thing that would destroy them all! "Can't you see it only wants this whole cave destroyed?" He strained against her and finally stopped but that was only because the trino was pushing his head up and out of the way. She wanted his throat! Was she out to kill? He didn't know and after she mentioned Booker's name... "YOU LEAVE HIM OUT OF THIS! I DIDN'T KILL YOU! I DIDN'T ATTACK YOU FIRST! YOU DID! IT WAS ALL YOUR FAULT! YOU CAUSED THIS ALL TO HAPPEN! MAGDALENA TO WAIT ON YOU AND THE DRAGON TO NEARLY KILL YOU! STOP BLAMING IT ON ME BECAUSE IT'S ALL YOU! I DIDN'T WANT TO GO BACK TO MONOCEROS BUT YOUR STUPID LEADER POISONED BOOKER AND TOOK ME PRISONER!" His voice was a roar, an angry roar that filled his body with a justified rage. The bloodlust was pushed away by the force of his conviction. He couldn't loose himself, if he did how would he talk sense into this stupid trino? There was only one thing he could do. She wanted to be under him so bad then fine! He would help her! He lurched forward, shooting his neck past her and scraping a few scales off on her horns as he prepared to drop his full body down on top of her. What would she be able to do if he held her down and kept her from moving? She'd have no choice but to listen then. for Dominance Attack: Body slam and pin Nem. Defense: None. Injuries: Scorched belly scales. Gash in stomach. Claws and paws sore and torn from being yanked and pulled at. Headache. Painful back of neck. Scrapes on the bottom of his neck. Nemesis ![]() Nemesis didn't want to listen. She wanted to hurt him. To make things right. But his words rang in her ears and she roared, trying to fight off his words-- to her, he had started this. It was all his fault. She was just doing what she was supposed to...! A memory. Her body was molten, burning with the fierceness of her heart, as she charged blindly forward. The weight of the dragon was over her, and her legs crumpled under the heaviness, the pain shooting through her body. She was hit, and her flaming body stumbled to the earth. For a great moment, it was just smoldering charcoal... Her body cracked, a sickening noise of at least one of her ribs cracking, and breaking. And then the teeth came. An instinct kicked in. She knew he was right. Whatever flames Nemesis was made of were nothing compared to the intense breath of the dragon as he snatched her up. By now she couldn't tell one pain from another... It was all the same, endless, torturous rage. She was a Fire who had grown too greedy, and for a moment, she felt like she might just be smothered by the larger wildfire. Nemesis did not like being wrong. She didn't want to feel pity towards the dragon, the dragon who threatened her home-- the Fire. The Fire. He was a monster. She thought they were the same but no-- no, this smaller, white creature-- he was more alike her than that huge monster could be. Then she was airborne. Only one creature had turned her into the trino. Turned her into a monster. The corrupting flames of that bastard-- he had done this. She was so furious, so angry, at everything... Perhaps she was tapping into the feelings of the dragon above her, crushing her, but she felt a great surge of protective fury. Unfortunately, her body had already decided to react. The flames couldn't find oxygen, surrounded by fluffy dragon, so the fire attacked at her lungs, fire burning through her blood. She couldn't help it-- she started screaming, the overwhelming pain of being crushed and boiled alive at the same time, her gem struggling to repeat the process of rechrysalissing, trying to save itself. It hurt so much. { FIGHT STATISTICS }
