RE: [CoR] Silent Night - Czernobog - Dec 11 2015

Eve. Beat. Tree. Czernobog snorted, ears flicking, confusion plain on his face - mixed with a tiny little bit of amusement at the lizard's reaction. He grinned at Eve's response, chest puffing up in pride. If he had anything else to say, it was cut off by the arrival of Tal'at, riding a... spider. The pig snorted again, eyes narrowing in utter puzzlement. "Foooooooood...?" He'd never seen food ridden before, but maybe the bat was softening it up? He wiggled in place, tapped at the body he'd brought as if to check it hadn't gotten up and tried to ride him.

Not. Meeting. The massive beast settled a bit - the last meeting was not very pleasant. Not. Hurt! It's. Bad! Czernobog watched, blinking rather blankly, as the Rots' Hat fluttered up to perch on the tree, nodding to herself. Defeated. He tilted his head, wondering - and then got up like a fairly slow rocket, grabbed the spider's corpse in his maw, and flung it onto the branch below Eve, dancing in place when it stuck, legs crooked and thorax broken, weeping fluid.

"Defeaaaaaated!"

RE: [CoR] Silent Night - Ghanyarah - Dec 11 2015

The lizard looked between the Rots as Ta'lat insisted Eve not hurt herself, and Czernobog rumbled out a few inquisitive words, and then Eve fluttered up to the tree. In that moment, he could feel the ground shudder and the tree seemed to breathe out a sigh, groaning, as if the bird's weight was too much for its branches. He watched her tentatively as she reached out to touch a leaf, then boldly claimed that she had defeated the tree. Czernobog threw the spider corpse up into the branches. Then the leaf detached from the limb, floating idly to the ground and wilting dramatically. "Uhh..." The reptile glanced back up at the tree, but all was now still. Did she really defeat it? Well... Nothing else was happening. He had to assume they were safe for now.

Ghanyarah tried to reach out with his magic, maybe he could add something to the tree, but nothing had happened in much the same vein. He frowned to himself. "Maybe I can find something to decorate it with too." He resolved with a nod. If he couldn't make ice ornaments, maybe he could find flowers or something. The lizard turned away and began to snoop through the bushes and grass.

RE: [CoR] Silent Night - Dragon - Dec 11 2015

RATED FOR MATURE

A quiet swishing from behind the group announced Dragon's swift return. He came plowing back up along the marshy channel with a large, dead cave deer seized in his jaws--slightly rancid, a little bit rotting. He came up alongside the others, eyes bright with his IDEA, and then dropped the carcass down on a large, wet stone.

Where he promptly began to tear into it, seizing pieces of flesh and twisting and rolling until the thing was disemboweled. He didn't bother explaining, not until he was done; he just sat there and ripped the deer apart.

Finally, satisfied, he looked up at Eve.

"Wreathe the tree in this?" he suggested. "Rot and death, decay. We will defeat it."

He lifted his own head, ready to demonstrate, and with a toss of his jaws, flung a rope of dripping gore over a tree branch. It hung there, limp and visceral, looking out of place and rather gruesome lying up in the tree branches.

It wasn't high, but Eve could fix that. And anyway, it was the effect that mattered. One did not come up to a tree and expect to find entrails dangling from it, and something about them there, the way they were out of place and gory, fit perfectly.

At least, in Dragon's mind.

The alligator rared back a bit to peer up, proud of his handiwork.

RE: [CoR] Silent Night - Ghanyarah - Jan 09 2016

Dragon had come charging back onto the scene, and Ghanyarah turned his head just in time to see the alligator carrying between his jaws a mass of dripping, glimmering viscera. Instead of a smirk of disgust, the komodo found himself in awe at the mouthful of cave deer the alligator had retrieved. He patiently sat back and watched Dragon roll around, tearing the carcass apart, deeply wishing that he could perhaps join him. It was a... bit of a sick desire, but it looked fun, and Ghanyarah had never been picky about cleanliness. He watched as the alligator decorated the tree and grinned at his brother, nodding his approval. "It looks lovely. Very nice. I think we can all agree that this will well and truly defeat the Divine." He spoke, and turned his gaze back to the tree. It made no movement to protest against the group, and the earth remained still, and Ghanyarah firmly believed that they had succeeded.

He simply sat and admired their beautiful piece of work, happy to see the group coming together for a common purpose.

RE: [CoR] Silent Night - Czernobog - Jan 31 2016

Dragon was coming back. Czernobog stiffened, turning to peer at his father, fidgeting in place, terrified of being berated in front of the rest of his family. Instead, the alligator brought with him a deer - that he proceeded to tear up, tossing organs onto the tree. The boar blinked, confused and hesitant - and slowly crept closer to grab a chunk of lower intestine, aiming to spear it on one of the higher branches.

A toss of his head later, and it landed with a splatter between Dragon and Ghanyarah.

Sheepishly teetering backwards, the pig shuffled closer to Tal'at and Eve, ears twitching with embarrassment as he tried to melt into the background, not even bothering to translate his father's words.
