 just one word from you and it's over 

Alpha did not answer Omega's question at first. The way it was phrased set his fur prickling down his spine. The white king did not belong to anyone, he was not anyone's. As he walked along, he found a choice of words that he quite liked.

"You are my charge, and I am Alpha of All." He held his head high, staring down his snout as he walked as tall and proud as he could. His paws were still clumbsy, but every time he stumbled he just held himself up even more. It looked a bit silly, but he was still only a puppy. Even if he would refuse that identity for now.

To his relief, the darker mutt didn't seem to have a problem keeping up, walking a pace behind like a good follower. Alpha was momentarily distracted by something on the wall, but before he could investigate, a strange hum began. The white wolf kept walking, determined to ignore the strange noise-- but Omega's pawsteps fell silent and his ear flicked back.

Omega made a pathetic whine and Alpha turned his head, flexing his claws against the hard floor. "Of what?" He barked, golden eyes narrowed at the slobbering mess. "Stay close to me, and you won't have anything to fear." Those words were less of an offer of protection and more of a command slanted towards a threat, his patience wearing thin.

There was a carving on the wall that he wanted to inspect without having such meaningless distractions.

"...alpha of all"? Omega liked the sound of that, though it didnt answer his question. Oh well, he thought, then became too distracted by his sudden fear. His vibrating slowed some after alpha spoke, but he wasnt calming down. Instead, he started to get worse by breathing faster and drooling even more. Where does this kid even keep all this drool?!

"e-everything.. The dark... The tunnels are s-so narrow..." even if they werent to anyone else, he suddenly became very aware of the walls and ceiling of the tunnel and how, to him, close they were. he wimpered, remaining in place even when alpha commanded him to carry on. He was frozen with fear, legs buckling beneath him, slowly weakening and bringing him closer to the ground slowly.

Immediately Omega was proving to be a problem. Alpha's right ear flicked, sweeping around to face the darker canine. His gold eyes bore into the other pup, any sense of brotherly love absent in the white king. He did not see Omega as much more than a tool, and his impatience was thinner than the ice with which Omega dared stand on.

"You're wasting my time," he snapped, drawing close with his teeth bared, threatening to lash out at any moment towards the child. "What are you going to do? Just stand there in the dark and dribble? If you move your damn paws we might get out of here and to somewhere more suitable for our kind." His tail lashed behind him, a dangerous sweeping ax of sapphires and topaz soaked in blood, raised high as though he couldn't dare be caught putting it down.

"You will follow me or I will leave you behind, understand?" The wolf snarled, though he truly had no intention on following through with this threat. No. Some part of him wanted to keep Omega, forever, if only to say that he had complete domination over another. He didn't know yet-- didn't quite understand-- what led him to this irrational anger, but he nursed it regardless. There was a sense of power that washed over him, towering over the pup, watching him quiver and vibrate and drool.

Alpha was better than Omega, and he wanted to always have this knowledge along side him.

Omegas head lowered and his tail tucked when he was scolded, the vibrating continuing as he cowered. Alpha was pretty angry and it scared him, but he wouldnt admit it. He'd probably only get yelled at more. "-m sorry... forgive me." he spoke softly, slowly rising to his feet. His posture remained low, but at least he was standing. Staring at the ground with his ears back, he slowly walked towards alpha, hoping to carry on, but only so he'd stop yelling at him. His vibrating would continue, a desperate attempt to keep himself calm enough to keep Alpha happy.

Alpha snorted, harshly exhaling a sigh as the dark furred mutt came crawling over. Immediately he returned to the scratching on the wall, his anger forgotten in a moment of wonder. Something or rather someone had scratched those symbols into the wall-- which meant there was... Some clue or hint perhaps into where they had ended up.

The leader looked back at his charge, ear flicking. "Come, look," his voice crooned in a much softer tone suddenly. He licked his fellow pup on the ear briefly before turning his nose up towards the markings on the wall. "What do you see? Isn't it interesting?" He wondered aloud, his tail twitching in a small wag.

Omega didn't like this... He sulked alongside Alpha, though a pace or two behind, towards the wall he was interested in. When arriving, he found himself looking up at his, a puzzled look crossing his drooly face. He was asked about it and well... he didn't know what to say. It didn't look all too fabulous to omega, and honestly, it looked like something pretty mean based on what his imagination saw. He saw monsters with sharp, pointy teeth flying out of something that had smears on it as if whatever was here last was gobbled up by it.

Suddenly, Omega got very nervous. To make matters worse, he couldn't even make that calming humming vibrating sound. A high pitched whine escaped and he took a few steps back, literally terrified of the little monster drawings on the wall. Drool was pouring from his mouth like a leaky faucet now with smaller, quieter whines in between breaths. monsters... we're lucky he could even say that, to be honest, with how absolutely petrified of what the drawings meant as if the beasts were literally right in front of him.

...Monsters? Alpha's ear twitched, and he cast his eyes towards the darker pup. "You see monsters?" He wondered aloud, mind filling with quiet awe. The image invoked strange feelings in the dog that he didn't quite understand. There was something bigger, more cruical, hidden in this thing scrawled in the walls... But he did not know what just yet.

But the fact that Omega was nearly wetting himself didn't go unnoticed. With a soft sigh, he bumped his shoulder into the younger pup and relaxed his posture. "Well, if there's monsters, I'll be sure to take care of them for you. No monster can beat me, and no monster will ever hurt you," he told Omega in a gentle, matter of fact way. For once, he tried to be soothing, instead of scathing.

...yes. he cried softly when alpha asked, his body trembling low to the ground. His eyes darted around still, but when Alpha drew near... he suddenly felt safer. He didnt need his vibration for once in the what, fifteen minutes he'd been alive? That was impressive! Omega cozied up to Alpha when he got close and stood, although he was still hesitant. He felt safe having Alpha at his side, so as long as they were like this, omega could keep himself calmed down... As long as something didnt move in the shadows (or even the light, really...). do these paintings mean anything? trying to take his mind off the small amount of fear he still had, he desperately tried to take an interest in whatever it was alpha was so interested in.

(also i'm good with that, but i would probably avoid using that term unless you have schizophrenia,, im p sure that could be construed as a slur;;; rip )

 just one word from you and it's over 

Alpha listened patiently to Omega, trying to understand exactly what was wrong with his charge. He had all of the restraint of a puppy, and he just wanted to do what he wanted without being dragged down. Omega, frankly, should have been thankful he was letting the pup come with him... But, regardless, he couldn't bring himself to leave the fellow wolf behind.

Omega seemed to come out of his shell a little, though. He wasn't humming any more, at least. Was that a good sign? He asked what the picture meant and Alpha turned towards the image again, pressing his flank towards the pup to share some warm, comforting touch. If only to keep him from panicking.

"I'm not familiar with it," Alpha replied calmly. "But it must mean something. I'm sure it holds a key to the secret of this realm... So try to remember it. It may help us in the future." His tail wagged very gently, as though the canine was aware that he could slice open his companion if he just threw his jeweled tail around wildly.

"It looks like something scratched out the important part, in the middle. If we can figure out what was there, I'll be one step closer." To what? Well, that was something of a personal secret for Alpha, wasn't it?

Omega enjoyed the contact they shared, finding no reason to hum as long as they touched. He felt safe, to put it bluntly, but it was still hard for the boy to describe. He listened as Alpha spoke, his mind solely focused on him and what he was saying. The painting didnt mean anything to him like it did Alpha, but he tried to understand.

"Closer to what?" he asked, his neon gaze finding Alpha's face. Alpha seemed to know a lot more than he did, but he was stuck at a dead end. Omega just lived... Or tried to survive, rather.
