RE: Quest: Dungeons & Dungeons - Philip - Jan 13 2016 He had been sauntering through the tunnels for some time when noises attracted his attention. Following his ears, he discovered a large group of creatures, and his tail wagged so hard at this that it knocked him into a sitting position. His eyes locked onto a deer and he rose to go and smell it when he caught sight of the rock goat, taller and more interesting than everyone else. He went to it and followed his instincts to gnaw on it. His eyes slowly closed in satisfaction as his baby teeth worked at the stone.

RE: Quest: Dungeons & Dungeons - Cure - Jan 13 2016 Something was going on. A gathering of many gembounds she had never seen before were making quite the racket in a tunnel she had yet to ever explore. Having been on her way home to Canis from her recent visit to Eridanus, Cure found herself following the loud noises of those moving. It had drew her curiosity to the point where she had forgotten her fear that perhaps maybe it was Hasira to be causing all the noise. As she came into the tunnel, sapphire eyes scanned over all the many different gembounds. None of them were familiar! Well, none of them except that familiar lemur that was further up in the crowd. A smile grasped at her features, but she would not pester Cayenne any more than she had several days ago. Shaking her thoughts she slowly, and very silently, prowled closer towards the others. Looking at each one curiously as she moved forward to see what they were looking at. It was thrilling to see so many gathered into one spot. Even on her journey back to Eridanus there had not been a cluster of gembounds. For a moment her heart felt heavy. She wished she could have her twin with her in this moment to watch this event unfold, but what had once been such a grand rapport between her in and her twin sister, now there was a rift. One Cure wasn't sure was going to be mended. She could understand where Remedy was coming from and Cure would give her the space she needed, but she truly did miss her twin. Shaking her thoughts away Cure lifted her head when she heard someone telling another that something wasn't for eating. Once she had gotten into view she awed over the statue and studied it as well as she could from her position. She had made her way closer to Cayenne, but she didn't want to crowd the lemur so she was a good two possibly three feet behind the girl. "Wonder why everyone is interested in this..." She spoke quietly to herself, musing over her thoughts on what it could possibly be. RE: Quest: Dungeons & Dungeons - Lazarus - Jan 13 2016 Days old and already dour, the puffy little coat and too-big paws contrasted with the seriousness of kitten!Lazarus's expression, the determination with which he held himself and walked forward and scowled at the world around him. He'd practiced this whole 'walking' thing in these hours since hatching, so that wasn't as wobbly as it had the potential to be, but nevertheless it was with unusual seriousness that the little kitten conducted himself, even while he gave in to kitten curiosity. There had been a lot of noise coming from over here, and he knew it was from over here because everyone was gathering keenly around something he was too short to see over their massing backs. "What is it?" he asked, darting through the legs of something bigger than him for a better look, speaking out of impatience. As an adult he wouldn't ask such things, but not because he would be any less patient with the animals around him as an adult- more because he would be practiced in not showing it. It was a statue. Two things occurred to him: first and most prominent, a deep and all-consuming curiosity about what that thing was for. What it had been. If what it had been had ever been real. Second-- he could do something to find out, at least a little bit. He didn't know how he knew, but Lazarus had been born with the knowledge that he could extract memories from things, sometimes-- it was magic, and it was his magic, and he could use it now. Toddling forward and giving Phillip an impatient look as the dog attempted to eat one of the statue's hooves, he braced himself to call forth his magic for the first time, laying a paw on the statue and trying to summon some memories from the thing. He had no idea what he was hoping for, but any knowledge was good knowledge. "Hopefully it remembers something other than you trying to eat it." he said, in grumpy undertone, in the direction of Phillip. RE: Quest: Dungeons & Dungeons - Game Master Madison - Jan 14 2016 The broken statue doesn't react to the physical contact of the Gembounds investigating it, however it does seem to emit a powerful aura of magic. The air feels like it is sizzling with raw energy pushing outward from the statue, as if something had been broken and is leaking now. It is obvious that the statue is in shambles and pieces of it have been removed, but why is it giving off such a strong magical vibe? Is it perhaps because something is meant to be done with this statue? @Howl @Othello @Nemesis @Iliad @Nova @Kawenu @Diamondfang @Cayenne @Thistle @Ozias @Philip @Boar @Cure @Lazarus RE: Quest: Dungeons & Dungeons - Lazarus - Jan 14 2016 The lack of response received from the statue frustrates the small cat, and he sits back and scowls, looking up and up and up to the face of the broken maybe-goat creature. He can feel the magic; why can't it feel him? He didn't even get the most recent memory of it being chewed on, which he could see happening for himself. Lazarus thus looks around, and finds nothing that looks like it was once attached to the statue. His gaze falls to the rubble of the clay that made up the crumbled barrier that had so recently separated this statue from view. Since the statue didn't react to his magic or his touch, and he could find nothing else that did, he ambled to that rubble and cast his hindsight spell on that. Perhaps it would have memories of those who had passed here before them, who had destroyed the statue, where parts of it had gone. Perhaps it would know anything; the statue was now a puzzle that teased him, and he wanted to know what was up with it. RE: Quest: Dungeons & Dungeons - Philip - Jan 14 2016 When he felt that the stone did not give way to his teeth the same way that normal food did, he became bored with chewing on the statue. He sniffed the air and licked it, as if to lap up the fleeting magic, and scented from the air to the statue. "BARK!", he said in frustration. "BARK BARK BARK!", there were no words for how he felt, only that he wanted the statue to play with him, and he wanted to eat or drink it and the "leaking" was tantalizing.
If only he could get at it and eat what was leaking from the inside, probably. SORRY please ignore roll forgot to uncheck the box, did not mean to roll. RE: Quest: Dungeons & Dungeons - Cayenne - Jan 14 2016
Cayenne was standing there in the crowd, feeling incredibly uncomfortable in all the crush and the noise as more and more gems started showing up and she didn't recognize any of them. Irritation and panic set into her shoulders like a warm and prickly hug that made her on edge, and she walked closer to the statue, glancing briefly at the other gems around her.
Perhaps she would've been more comfortable had she seen Cure there, but she didn't. The missing chunks and the distinct feeling of magic around the statue made her wonder - did it want to be fixed? She didn't have stone magic, which was a pity, but she did have her plants. She had no idea what would happen, and she felt rather ill at ease with touching it, but....no one else was doing anything except for the puppy that was chewing on it, and she just shrugged. Here goes nothing.... RE: Quest: Dungeons & Dungeons - Nova - Jan 15 2016
