RE: Freshly Blossomed - Ayomide - Jun 04 2016

"My name is Diot, and we are one of the same my dear..."

Curiosity rose in Ayomides' mind, they didn't look the same, was there something else? The filly watched as the tamarin swept his hand over the soil, eyes widening as the small, budding plant blossomed within seconds after the hand had gone. Snorting excitedly, the Shetland stamped her hooves into the soil under her. Could she do that?

"How d-did you do that?" She asked, attention immediately snapping back to the small monkey as she noticed his attention fixed on her face. "C-could I do that?"

While it didn't occur to her right away that perhaps the tamarin didn't know if she could do it, it was still a question worth asking. Maybe this is how Diot meant they were one of the same?

It went without saying the young filly wildly enjoyed the display of magic. Snorting excitedly as she stamped her hooves beneath her, perhaps holding just too much excitement to contain? Though her attention on the juvenile plant was short lived. Her attention snapping back to him, vibrant eyes focused and questions erupting from her mouth. He stood there for a moment, musing to himself on what to say.

"You could yes, but you must be careful. Magic is very draining, especially for a newly hatched gembound like you-"

He paused, lingering on the sentence; some hatchlings knew their name while others took much longer. He would test this. Though if she was oblivious to such implied question he didn't mind.

"You could yes, but you must be careful. Magic is very draining, especially for a newly hatched gembound like you-"

After a moment of silence, Diot had finally spoken. An excited snort escaping her as she bobbed her head in understanding. Or... well, as much of an understanding as she could have, seeing as she had only been hatched for maybe a few minutes.

"O-okay."

Oblivious to the implied question, she continued to nod her understanding. Tail flicking wordlessly behind her as her attention drifted back to the opal on Diot's forehead.

"W-what's that? It's really pretty"

The filly bobbed their head, giving both a physical and verbal queue that they understood. Though being so young Diot had a little doubt, though he trusted them. Hopefully they would head his words. Somewhat out of left field she spoke up again, asking what 'that' was; describing how it was so vibrantly pretty. He squinted at first, attempting to figure out what 'that' really was, until he followed her gaze. Lifting his hands up he gently touched the opal that rested atop his forehead.

"Oh this? This is my gem! All gembounds have one! Even you! Some may show with age or remain hidden depending on the individual."
