The flower continues to glow... but is it dimmer now?

Note: You may investigate the flower. Please notify a gm when you do something to the flower!

RE: 3rd LOVES ME, LOVES ME NOT: Monoceros (EVENT) - Magdalena - Feb 16 2016

The feel of Hestia's bacteria was steadily growing stronger and stronger. Each day she was becoming more accustomed to it, and it was nice; she'd nearly forgotten what it felt like beyond just a stagnant sensation lingering beyond her reach. Always in the same place, never moving... she'd almost accepted that Hestia existed in the form of a chrysalis. But now it was different, she was alive, and moving, and so young and eager to learn, and while Nemesis might have been busy with affairs, Magdalena was leashed to Monoceros due to her own obsessive need to monitor Odyssey. As such, she found herself keeping an eye out for Hestia as well. She'd been lingering by the ridges when she suddenly heard the cacophony of noise below, including Hestia's own voice. Magdalena reached for her signature like an aftertaste, but in the sudden swarm of Gembounds, it was drowned out. Annoyed, the canine rose.

Slowly she descended and approached the group. They were all strangers, intruders, trespassers within the realm of the Merrymen and she wondered what Diamondfang or Louie would have to say about this. Never the less, Magdalena didn't have the fire power alone to ward them all off. She followed the sound of Hestia's voice and her warm, musty smell, until at long last she had reached them. Stepping carefully, she approached the hybrid's flank and gently brushed it with her shoulder. "Hestia. What is going on?" Magdalena spoke quietly, casting her blind gaze out to the gathering and beyond.

RE: 3rd LOVES ME, LOVES ME NOT: Monoceros (EVENT) - Hestia - Feb 16 2016

Before the porcupine could speak again and leave another unusual aftertaste of rising char on her tongue, a familiar voice broke Hestia's concentration. Stark in contrast both their hide's met in a familiar and loved greeting. Brushing shoulders the thin precious Borzoi known as Magdalena spoke to her. Inquiring what exactly was going on here in Monoceros. Hestia's was bubbling with excitement and love at such a sight of her sweet borzoi guardian.

"Magdalena! Well while looking for fun rocks to bring home to show the others I saw this faint pink glow all the way down here in this gorge! So I found a way down and it turned out to be a flower! A flower growing here in Monoceros! Its magical Magdelna! It doesn't even move in the wind! It looks like a bell too! Its really strange."

Hestia attempted to describe the flower at best as she could, word halting when the flower began to dull slightly.

"Its...dimmer now though...but when I came down here all these other gembounds arrived. A few are sweet. Others I can live without... Do you have any ideas why the flower could be here? One of them said not to touch it...and we can't get too close since he's 'protecting it'..."

That temper flared within her slightly, inherited from her fiery mother. At least for only a moment, Hestia's bubbly personality washing over the stoked fire within. Focusing back on the flower and her sweet Magdalena.
