RE: A pup lost in darkness - Bartos - Jan 07 2017

He moved at a fairly casual pace, which he thought would have been slow enough for the wolf pup, but on pausing and looking back he realized that the child was struggling with his paw. Bartos knitted his brows, examining his wound. It was strange, as it didn't look like he had sustained a wound, but perhaps it had happened a while ago. After he emerged? How long ago had the pup emerged anyways? It must have been just recently given that he didn't know anything about the cave, or even his own name. Bartos flicked his tail and continued on, only twisting an ear when the child asked about Polaris. "It shouldn't be too far." Was all he said, briskly and detached, though deep in his heart he felt some sympathy for the boy. Bartos knew what it was like to walk on a broken leg. He'd get no where coddling the child though, and found it hard to even try and think of a way to comfort him.

@Astaroth (do we wanna make a new thread in Polaris?)

RE: A pup lost in darkness - Astaroth - Jan 07 2017

Astaroth walked along briskly now, he didn't feel the pain as keenly as before, he figured out that the harder he concentrated on the walk ahead, the less he felt the pain of now. "Ok... a...are you hiding something... you look really... distarcted..." He asked this slowly, tentatively, careful not to offend anyone, he liked his new companion so far even if he seemed kinda grumpy, he was still company. He didn't want to lose him, if for no reason other than he needed him to get to Polaris.

notes: Yeah, we probably should, let's just name it the same thing

The car furrowed his brow and shot a side glance at the pup after his question. It was a rather astute observation, but Bartos had no interest in discussing what it was lurking in the back of his mind. He had no interest in any conversation about what he'd seen or experienced. "No more distracted than you." He answered, which could have been construed as cryptic, but the words rolled off his tongue for lazily than anything. But he still didn't want the boy to try and pry. In any case, his pride had been stung; he didn't realize that he'd made his apathy so questionably obvious.

It settled in among his thoughts as he went, adamant on silence as they ventured further from Canis, towards the core.

(exit Bartos!) @Astaroth
