RE: [WRESTLING] Xireidi vs. Aries - Aries - Mar 21 2018
Xireidi managed to use his own momentum against him. Aries found himself flipped on his side, his horn still locked in in the wolfs jaws. His legs flailed, but, eventually seized purchase on the grooved ground. Aries managed to right himself, leaning back in a pull as Xireidi tugged at his head. This was proving to be a problem.
The ram snorted and drove forward, using Xireidi's position against himself.Using his strong neck and legs, he pushed into the wolf, attempting drive him off the ring, or at least make him lose his footing. Unfortunately, Aries did not gain as much traction as he liked, but at least he was making progress.
Round: 5/5
Attempt: Ram him (push him like a sumo wrestler!)
Defense: braced
Injuries: none
((Omg Xi, lmao way to go! Literally takin' a bull by the horns-- if Aries was a bull that is))
RE: [WRESTLING] Xireidi vs. Aries - Xireidi - Mar 22 2018
The wolf held the ram's head as still as possible against the ground. Just a few seconds more and he'd get the pin. Just a few seconds and...
His opponent sprung to action, charging forward with such ferocity that Xireidi found himself completely unable to hold on to the ground. He could keep hold of the horn, but that turned out to be inconsequential as he was forced along the ground and flung a few feet away, solidly outside the ring.

RE: [WRESTLING] Xireidi vs. Aries - Faelan - Mar 22 2018
Faelan sat beside Mercurius on top of a long, smooth stone at the edge of the crowd. Other Gembounds sat on the floor around them, and all around the makeshift wrestling ring. It seemed like this match was highly anticipated, and once the lion saw the contestants, he figured out why.
Aries was a rippling mass of muscle, with a full head of horns to boot, and he didn't seem to mind showing that off at all. The flare that the goat added to his entrance put a small smile on Faelan's lips. He knew how to entertain, but did he know how to fight, the judge wondered before turning his eyes to Xireidi.
The wolf may not be as big as his opponent, but his sinewy muscles looked just as practiced. He padded in much more calmly than Aries, and after a short exchange of words between the two, the match began.
The tawny brute's eyes widened at the head on charge that Aries started with. It seemed bold at first, but as the match progressed, he figured out that the horns were the goat's main weapon. They could just as easily be used for defense though, he saw once the wolf turned the match around to his favor.
Faelan was literally on the edge of the rock, his claws clenching the stone, by the time the wolf was thrown away by one last charge from the ram. He let the crowd roar their approval for a few minutes before finally letting out a roar of his own. The sound boomed off of the high ceiling and silenced the crowd so that he was able to announce the winners.
"Thank you both for participating. You tried hard, and put on a wonderful show for us all. However, we must have a winner." Faelan paused dramatically, his gaze flicking back and forth between the pair while he beamed at them. Finally, his gaze settled on Aries. "Aries is our winner!" He shouted, even though every word past Aries' names was drowned out by cheers. He gave them both a nod before turning toward Mercurius.

RE: [WRESTLING] Xireidi vs. Aries - Aries - Mar 30 2018
Aries' heart leapt with pride when Faelan announced him as the winner.
In the rush of delight that flooded his veins, he completely forgot his sportsmanship. Poor Xireidi seemed to fade into the background as Aries flaunted his victory like he alone, saved the caves. He allowed himself to carried off into the roaring crowd, surrounded by his cheering fans. Clearly, this was all going to his head, but to Aries, he was living his dream.
