RE: [Event] Festive Surprise! - Valeria - Apr 01 2018 Valeria was thankful for her wings. Now that she had gotten the hang of flying, they gave her a great amount of freedom. No longer did have to stay at Gabriel's side. She was free to come and go as she pleased. Valeria took this opportunity to explore the vast cave system see called home, and she learned not ever cavern is like Pisces. Valeria had never been to Polaris before. She had only heard of place in tales, until see laid eyes on the grand Spire. The place left her in awe. She had never seen so much magicka in one place. This is amazing! Soaring around the crackling Spire, she felt the raw raw magick tickle her leathery wings. Valeria had never felt anything like it. It was surreal. Just then, something pretty caught her eye. Valeria flew in for a closer look. She gaped in wonderment. There were various crystalline eggs everywhere, piles of them! They glittered like rainbows. Valeria swooped down and plopped herself on top of one of the piles. "Oh, wow!" She breathed. Out of all of them, a small, lopsided, amaranthine egg caught her eye. Valeria crawled too it and ran her clawed thumb over its smooth shell. It was her favorite color, however it was rather dull looking. She could barely see her reflection. She craned her neck to see if there were anymore, but alas, this egg was one of a kind. She shrugged. Its odd shape gave it some charm, made it lovable. I think I can take it with me. She clutched with her back feet. This is going to be interesting. Valeria flapped her strong wings in the air. The egg was a lot heavier than it looked. She strained and grunted. Vampire bats were not known for their strength, but against all odds, Valeria managed to lift it off the ground. Although, now she fluttered awkwardly over the crystal piles, her little egg acting as unnecessary weight. Despite everything, the little bat made her way across Polaris with her frumpy, little egg she named "Biggles". It was quite funny to behold. -Exit Valeria- "Listen to me." Thoughts... TAG: // OOC: RE: [Event] Festive Surprise! - Aithaxas - Apr 01 2018 Almost a wolf like him, but also not. Wolves didn't have purple and red manes and tails. They also didn't have sharp red points emerging from their shoulders. At least not that he knew. Maybe they were just another animal he didn't know? He surely hadn't seen every kind of Gembound there was. It was possible, he concluded, that he just didn't know what they were. Aithaxas acknowledged their nod with a nod of his own. He stared back at them. What strange eyes, too. After several long seconds, he turned around, picking up his egg- which was thankfully still where he had left it- and wandered away. @Naga RE: [Event] Festive Surprise! - Splotch - Apr 01 2018 SPLOTCH Something was happening. Despite not spending much time with other Gembounds, only really having met Rift and Sebastian, she was in tune with the area. Polaris was her home, and she had long grown accustomed to the Magick. So when it had begun to change, she hadn't even needed to think before turning, following the changes. There were a great many Gembounds, and she had to take a moment to look around. Finally, peering through the crowd, she made out a pile of oval-shaped shiny things. So she approached, slipping through the crowd of Gembounds. One about the size of one of her, admittedly large, ears caught her eye, glistening a dull green. Looking around, she seperated it from the pile with her muzzle, before carefully rolling it away. EXIT SPLOTCH RE: [Event] Festive Surprise! - Sebastian - Apr 01 2018 Sebastian found that he enjoyed Polaris. Despite Eridanus being his home, the other Cave drew him. The ambient Magick in the air made him feel strong, stronger than ever, fanning his interanl flame. The heat that always flooded him at the feeling was wonderful, and he didn't feel like he had to be as careful as he was in Eridanus. He didn't have to worry about accidentally harming Rift's beloved plants. So, naturally, he was rather protective of it. Upon hearing the many gathered Gembounds, he had, of course, made his way to the group. There were many, egg-like things in a heap and, as he watched, several Gembounds walked or flew away, with eggs of their own. His keen red eyes landed on an egg that was a short distance away from the others. It was a glistening red, and it drew him. Without thinking, he plodded forward, nudging it in the direction of Eridanus, intent on showing Rift his newfound prize. EXIT SEBASTIAN ___________________________________________________________ "Speech looks like this." Thoughts look like this. tags: notes: RE: [Event] Festive Surprise! - Ragnarok - Apr 01 2018 Rags had honestly been avoiding the spire. It was huge, and the power of it frightened him. However, today was different. Many creatures from all around the cave had gathered around something, making the little ermine curious. He moved quickly to the Gembounds, wondering what the fuss was about. He made his way under the crowd, being smaller than most of them. It was then that he saw the pile of egg things, and he wanted one. They looked kinda cool. Rags looked around for one her liked, and eventually, he spotted a pretty pink one with yellow lines. It wasn't as cool as the other ones he saw, but this one just spoke to him Rags trotted over to it and nudged it away from the pile, too small to pick it up in his jaws. *exit When I speak. When I think. RE: [Event] Festive Surprise! - Sizzle - Apr 02 2018 Sizzle She was so hungry... The Bush Viper raised her head, forked tongue flitting out to taste the air. There were a great number of Gembounds nearby, although of course she wasn't going to eat them. She was tasting the air, looking for birds (lessers, of course) as well as Cave Rats or other edible rodents. As she flicked out her tongue again, she picked up the taste of bird eggs. And, in her experience, eggs meant birds. So she followed the scent, eventually coming across the great gathering of Gembounds. She slithered through their legs, before grabbing at the first egg she saw she could fit in her mouth. It was rather pathetic looking, only just small enough to fit in her mouth, and was dimpled, a dull stone-like grey. Holding it carefully in her mouth, the snake turned, beginning to slither back to Eridanus. EXIT SIZZLE RE: [Event] Festive Surprise! - Malachai - Apr 02 2018 Malachai Exploring. That's what she was doing: exploring. The ugly little Maned Wolf had finally fought her way free of her Chrysalis, and was walking around, trying to get used to her too-long legs. Her fur was dull and ruddy, looking like she'd rolled in mud and never really cared to clean it off. A large gathering of Gembounds drew her attention, and so the little cub wobbled up. Struggling on her ungainly limbs, the Maned Wolf cub wobbled up to the egg pile. She picked an egg that looked to be easy enough to carry, a color of red that was several shades darker than her fur, but very pretty. Malachai nudged it away from the group, sitting down to sniff at it, before poking it gently with her paw. RE: [Event] Festive Surprise! - Hera - Apr 02 2018 Hera Something was happening. The ugly little birdling's attention had been drawn by a large gathering of Gembounds. And, for the first time, jealousy had flamed in her breast. Why were they paying attention to those... things?! They should be paying attention to her! So, on tiny little talons, she made her way through the gathering, intending on seeing what was so utterly fascinating. Any Gembounds who didn't get out of her way would find their feet or legs pecked as she pushed through, shoving her way to the front. There was a pile of eggs, and she huffed. Was this what was getting their attention? But, wait... there was an egg she liked. It was large, easily three times her size, and incandescent, seeming to be every color at once. There seemed to be gems embedded in it, and instantly she knew she had to have it. She pushed her way into the pile, pressing against the egg and beginning to move it laboriously out of the pile.
