RE: Her Awakening - Oleander - Apr 13 2020 Oleander Melt all your art and drink the paint Instead of thinking that this strange habit of "talking to bones", Oleander, in her infatuated headspace, took this strange speaking habit as some sort of incredible power. She felt her heart quiver at the thought that this person that she loved with all of her heart could have such a power. But even the mention of the other "Bound", a phrase which had her interested only moments before suddenly become something of a horror. Because that meant competition over her true love. People to distract him away from her. Unacceptable. As the seconds passed, Oleander fell more and more into stability with her new situation. Why would she need Gatto when she had this canine, who's name she didn't know? Why would he need anyone but her? She would ensure...completely ensure, that they stayed together. "Giggle" and "Aure" were people he did not need in his life. He only needed her. She'd have to find a way to get him away from them...but perhaps not yet. She didn't know enough to pull him away by anything but force but if she did that, he'd almost certainly not love her anymore. "No need to put yourself down! Why don't you tell me about your friends. Ah...Chatter and Amma? And Bronx? And who's this Giggle and Aure you speak so highly of?" She assumed, then, that all of these creatures were alive and absolutely none of them bones. When Ischium asked her "we could go together" she thought her heart stopped for a moment. The phrase tumbled around in her head for a good few seconds before she got herself back and managed to squeak out, "Y-yeah! That'd be cool." RE: Her Awakening - Ischium - Apr 13 2020
@Oleander RE: Her Awakening - Oleander - Apr 13 2020 Oleander Melt all your art and drink the paint At first, Oleander was calculating what Ischium was saying - Chatter was a brother. She'd need to separate Ischium from him at some point - not even family could distract him from her, but she paused at the "before he died." "Wait, are your friends all bones?" She looked at the ground. "Do you talk to all of them?" That was a little confusing. Did she need to worry about them or not? They were distractions, maybe, but they weren't, like...alive. But Aure and Giggle, it seemed, were very very much alive. And that meant they were a threat. She'd have to figure out how to get Ischium away from them, keep all of his attention on her. "Oh that's too bad. I think it's way more fun to go through life not knowing, you know? Who needs to know the future?" Was that too much? Or too little? Maybe too harsh? Oh, whatever. Whatever, it didn't matter. "We can go now. Now is good, okay?" She wasn't thinking, now, about the bird and her gemstone, what did it matter when she had Ischium to keep her going! @Oleander RE: Her Awakening - Oleander - Apr 13 2020 Oleander Melt all your art and drink the paint "That's interesting. I didn't know you could even talk to bones at all!" Okay, so, maybe not a threat, but perhaps she should find a way to smash the bones when she had a chance. It would be better that way. She shrugged. "Everyone needs to contend with an unexpected future. Those that can get through life without knowing the path ahead are stronger then those that cheat and take glances forward. At least, that's what I think." Oh, she sure hoped that that wasn't too forward, she hoped it wasn't too rude. She nodded, but then realized that there was a problem. She blinked. "Uh...do you know the way to Eridanus? I don't...really know how to go further then Orion." RE: Her Awakening - Ischium - Apr 14 2020
-exit Ischium @Oleander RE: Her Awakening - Oleander - Apr 14 2020 Oleander Melt all your art and drink the paint Oleander nodded, but internally, all she could think was about how she needed to get him away from those bones. Destroy them, if she could. Crush them to dust so that he didn't think about them. Didn't need them. All he needed was her only her only Oleander. He didn't need bones or friends, all he needed was her and she was going to make sure he got her. First step - take him from this place, where there were no more bones for him to talk to. She nodded and trotted after him, narrowed eyes calculating the best way to make this happen, to form their life so that it was just the two of them. *exit |
