[WRESTLING] Glaive vs. Elias - Printable Version

Elias made something that of a hissing noise when the other creature made fun of the way he spoke. The gator was there to do the tournament, not talk. If they took a break from their wrestling round in the middle of the round there was a chance they could be disqualified and Elias wanted to get better at this. Fighting thing, which meant this would give him experience in the non-kill takedowns. Alas, he was against someone much larger than him. That didn't mean he couldn't win, though.

Before he could get a good hold on anything, the head of that creature smacked right into his side and he was sent sliding a ways, claws gripping, and failing to grip into the rocky ground of the cave. When he stopped moving, there was a considerable amount of dust lingering in the air. Elias only grunted. "I'm fine." before surging forward to try again.

Baby blues widened and furrowed slightly - she hadn't meant to poke fun in a mean way! Just a little joke at Elias's expense. Glaive shrunk away from the hissing, calling quietly, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that." Better be more mindful of her words in the future. No more overfamiliar playful rudeness from her.

The gator was doing just fine, according to himself, though. Good enough to barrel right back into her as she was trying to get up. Wrestling wasn't very fun when she was on the ground the whole time, but Glaive was trying not to be too petulant about it. The whelp squealed as she fell back on her side, and kicked her legs out.

Once all was said and done - and the beeper went off - the spinosaurus hauled herself up and dipped her head eagerly, "that was fun!" Well, aside from when I was on the floor, which was the whole time. She needed to be polite to make up for her mean little joke. That's how it worked! Nearly-grown and Glaive was still thinking in equal exchanges. Ah, well.

he honked loudly, moving in to signal the end of the round "thats a wrap! y'allve done well!"

Nemesis enjoyed the show put on; really, the more she watched, the more she was impressed with the competition. She made a point (after everyone was checked over by the medics as needed, mind you) to trot her huge ass down to the colleseum floor to congradulate the winner.

"Hey," she greeted Glaive, "you were a real killer out there." That was praise, right? She snorted, flicking her head like she was tossing some non-existent hair out of her face; the gesture was nothing short of trying to be flippant. Casual. "Hope we get to fight each other in the semi-finals," her lips pulled back into the slightest, sly grin.

"Keep kicking ass." And hey, if Glaive somehow managed to kick her ass, in particular, well... Shit, it wouldn't be the worst thing ever, right? She couldn't help but look forward to it, no matter the outcome.

"Hey," Glaive whipped her head around, "you were a real killer out there."

Baby blues widened so hard she pulled a muscle in her neck. Her mouth opened a bit to let out a silent ough! and she shook her head slowly. "Oh, no - I don't think I killed him?" The whelp looked over her shoulder carefully to check and see if Elias was, in fact, still alive. "Ah, wait..." It was some weird phrase! "Thanks!"

... right? Who even says that? A real killer... what?

"I hope I don't kick your ask too hard," she chirped, mispronouncing the Big Bad Word due to unfamiliarity. Then, in classic Glaive fashion, she puttered off.

Nemesis laughed as Glaive misunderstood, a big, hefty belly laugh that shook her whole frame. "You're welcome," she managed to wheeze, after Glaive thanked her for the compliment. She had the spirit, anyway, even if she didn't get the nuance of it right.

It would have been less funny if Glaive didn't figure it out, or panicked somehow, but no, she took it damn near in stride. What a champ. The trinoceros could respect the strange, almost alligator-like fighter in spite of the misunderstanding as a result. It was funny! Hell, she couldn't remember the last time somebody had made her laugh that hard.

"Better watch your ask!" She called after Glaive, and then with a snort, eyed the rest of the crowd and ambled away. Her match would be starting soon enough, it was time to get into the zone.

And just like that, the fight was over. Glaive had done well! Always trying to be polite. It was fun to watch her friend. Glaive was busy, it seemed, even after the fight. Someone else was talking to her. Ah, well, that was fine. Kaimana was just here to be supportive! She would talk to her stone, even if her stone couldn't talk back. Yet.

When it seemed like everyone was going, the jaguar would get up, pick up her serandite, and go too. Oh, but she'd be back! Every Glaive fight was a fight she had to root for!
