RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Sun-Wukong - Aug 05 2020 A wide grin spread over the little golden gibbon’s face as he watched fluffy daddy grow a flower, and the astonished reaction from the fluffy girl. He had seen fluffy daddy do that so many times when he was working in the garden. It was always so interesting to watch him do it, and it was even better to see another gembounds reaction to his wondrous magic. And fluffy daddy was right, the lily matched her fur beautifully. Leaning down Sun picked up the lily and gently placed it beside the blue green ear stone on Comet. Knowing what fluffy daddy had planned he would take her home rather than keep looking for a clearing. The little gibbon climbed effortlessly from the ground and back to perch on the back and top of fluffy daddy’s head. @Comet RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Comet - Aug 05 2020 Comet
Comet listened intently to Aristotle's words and saw Sun place the lily behind her aquamarine ear. Then the lion agreed to let her join them Sun exclaimed that she was his new sister. The shock hit her as heavy as a whale. Even though she didn't know what a whale was, she knew it was heavy. Immediately, her tail started wagging very fast, stirring up the dust from the ground and she spun in circles. Her new father announced that they were going to their home in Orion. @Aristotle @Sun-Wukong RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Aristotle - Aug 05 2020 Ari
A soft deep chuckle left the lion at the little wolf’s thanks. He chuckled again as Comet brightly proclaimed that she wouldn’t get tired. As the little wolf pressed into his mane, the lion let out a deep loving purr that rumbled through his chest. RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Sun-Wukong - Aug 05 2020 Sun sat perched on fluffy daddy’s head. However he wasn’t sitting as normal, instead he was hanging off to the side so as to keep an eye on his new sister. Being sure she didn’t fall behind or stumble. As if she did he would quickly alert fluffy daddy with a sharp yank of his mane. However if everything went as smoothly as he hoped, there wouldn't be any need for him to give fluffy daddy such a rude and painful signal. @Comet RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Comet - Aug 05 2020 Comet
From what Aristotle said, Comet concluded that there was probably a wide variety of animals in this place. Because he seemed really old, and knowledgeable and even so he still hadn't met any others. She pricked her ears when he talked about a animal made of trees and light. How was that possible? He paused in between, allowing her to ask many questions, but she was deep in thought. Comet followed the lion, who seemed to be moving at a moderate pace. At first she stumbled fairly often, but she got more used to walking and soon she was able to glide over the uneven ground. She couldn't wait to meet her other father, she wondered what animal he would be. She saw Sun was hanging off the side of Aristotle's mane instead of just sitting on it like he usually was. Comet thought it was probably very cool to be a monkey like animal like him. She saw him tense whenever she stumbled, and rethought that it was probably because he was keeping an eye on her. She smiled back. After a while, her legs started to ache a bit. @Aristotle @Sun-Wukong RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Aristotle - Aug 08 2020 Ari
The lion walked at a slow even pace the young girl could keep up with. Making sure that her path was easy and well worn as they walked, so she wouldn’t trip or fall. She couldn’t ride on his back as easily as Sun could. He had hands to hold on with, if he carried her he would have to carry her either by the scruff or around her belly, neither of which he thought would be very comfortable for the little girl. So instead he would pick the easiest paths for them to follow with little underbrush and a smooth pathway through the trees. It wasn’t as direct of a route to the tunnel, but it would be the path of least resistance for Comet. The lion kept a close eye on the girl looking down at her every so often though she stumbled over her own oversized paws, something he himself was quite familiar with as he had the same problem as a child. A light smile played over his muzzle as he watched the girl. She was fiercely determined to keep up with him and make him proud it seemed, and he was just that. A proud father watching his young. A rounded audit shifted to catch the girl’s question. They had made it to just outside the tunnel entrance when the girl asked for a break. As they entered the smaller offshoot cave with the low ceiling and low hanging light ball. Two trees flanked the entrance now bearing beautiful apples the two near the back of the cave Loquat trees. The walls had low bushes and berry bearing plants growing along the walls, the floor covered in lush soft grasses. Near the center of the room lay a stack of pelts he had gathered from hunting. @Comet RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Sun-Wukong - Aug 08 2020 Sun clung easily to fluffy daddy’s mane sitting off kilter to lean over and watch his new little sister. He would protect her no matter what. Sun let out a few soft hoots and coos of encouragement at Comet every time she stumbled or tripped along the path. He had no idea how hard it was to walk on uneven ground as both daddy’s often let him ride on them. He had gotten quite good at climbing up onto both of them. Though he had learned he wasn’t very fast moving on the ground, he was quite quick when it came to moving through the trees. He had learned that playing in the backyard while both daddy’s had gone to do what they needed leaving him to watch over Abraxas. He could see her growing tired as she started to lag and drag her paws just a bit. When they arrived in the cave and fluffy daddy set down on the pelts, Sun slid fluffy daddy’s back and monkey hobbled over to Comet to inspect her. He knew his hands hurt when he did a lot of climbing, his hands had yet to build up calluses to climb easier with. He lifted her paw inspecting the pads to make sure they weren’t blistering from all the walking. @Comet RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Comet - Aug 08 2020 Comet
The path they took had almost no shrubs or greenery in the way. Comet saw many other paths that seemed to be a more direct route, but they followed the ones that were easy to walk on. She was sure she would've been exhausted if they took the other paths, so she was happy that Aristotle could guide her through the easier ones to their destination. Comet listened to his reply to her question, she wondered what a horse looked like. Tall, dark, and handsome wasn't really much description to go off of. The only things she was sure of was that a horse had four legs, about Aristotle's height, and possibly had a darker fur. If it even had any fur at all. She couldn't wait to meet him, a horse sounded like a very interesting thing indeed. Comet followed the bobbing tuft of fur on the end of Aristotle's tail. It waved side to side a bit but she followed it with ease until the darkness pressed in hard, she gently grabbed the tail in her mouth. But she was frightened of the dark and when they finally found the light again and Comet let go of the tail, she saw that there were some bit marks on it. After some time of relaxing on the pelts, she sprang up on her rested paws. "Exit" @Aristotle @Sun-Wukong RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Aristotle - Aug 08 2020 Ari
The lion had learned the hard way when he was her age, that when little taking the path less traveled also meant the path was harder to get through. It was fun taking the path that was less traveled because it meant more things to watch such as wildlife. But for a child it was easier to take the more well women path so fewer things stood in your way. Aristotle was not one to make things hard on someone else just so he could take a shortcut. Aristotle smiled down at the girl as she listened. The lion noted that the girl was much like he had been as a child, very curious and always looking for new things to investigate or get himself into. He hoped that she would take as much of an interesting in preserving the life around them as he had. A swell of pride caused the smile on the lion’s muzzle to widen as the girl responded that she could go a little further. As they moved through the dimness into straight dark Aristotle felt the girl grab his tuft in her jaws gently. He was pleased that she seemed to pick up small signals on how what to do. This way she wouldn’t get turned around or lost in the darkness. Thanks to his feline eyes he was able to see quite easily in the darkness surrounding them so of course he led the way on a path he traveled many times alone. Aristotle watched Comet slump down on the furs, her little body exhausted. The lion moved to sit beside the wolf cub, his baby blue eyes gazed down at her lovingly. Aristotle grinned when the cub hopped up and was ready to go after a short rest. The lion stood as Sun monkeyed his way up back onto Aristotle's back and neck. After that they started back on their way home to Orion. EXIT ARISTOTLE RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Sun-Wukong - Aug 08 2020
Sun grinned not showing any teeth, he was proud of his little sister. So strong and determined, so fluffy cute! Sun watched her walk along the path sure of her every step. His emerald eyes never leaving the pup. Even though she was determined Sun kept an eye on her to make sure she didn’t push it too hard. She was still young and that meant she could strain something quite easily. When they reached the resting spot Sun sat massaging Comet’s paws until she was ready to go again. He was sure her paws would be sore after all this walking. She thanked him for massaging her paws and he smiled. EXIT SUN |
