RE: Storm's a Brewin[Hatching] - Stormy - Aug 29 2020 She smiled brightly at her new dare she say it friend? She was beginning to see that he was a bit of a more reserved sort of creature, or he just didn’t like showing his emotion much. He was kind and friendly, and seemed to be well enough acquainted with his home to show her around. Perhaps with time, the two could truly become friends. Rather than just acquaintances living in the same place. The little filly listened intently nodding all the while, while Fahl spoke of his home. He told her little but she could easily wander around later and check things out for herself. His explanations would set a deep curiosity of the place known as Pisces. She could explore and ascertain the lay of the land on her own. She assumed that Fahl had yet to move very far from the length of his legs. He didn’t exactly look like he was meant for long distance travel. Stormy’s ears perked up curious at the mention of something else new. Which wasn’t hard to be new to her as she had just hatched. But she couldn’t help but wonder. ”What are.. Fish?” The young girl asked as she tilted her head slightly to one side in question. If they lived in the pools that meant they lived in water. But could you breathe water? She had been breathing essentially goop up until now maybe you could breathe water too. Then her questions were answered. Fish did indeed live in the water. She nodded again still curious to see what a Fish looked like. The little filly rested her weight on her legs as she knelt down close to the ground for Fahl to climb on. She looked back at him as he hesitated. ”I promise I’ll go slower so you don’t fall off, and if you feel you’re going to fall just grab my mane in your mouth it shouldn’t hurt.” She explained gently with a warm smile on her muzzle. Finally he accepted and climbed up onto her back. His claws tickling a bit she let out a soft giggle. ”You’re claws feel funny!” She laughed brightly but still with a sigh as he steady himself on her back. With a gentle though slightly unsteady step, the little filly climbed to her hooves. ”Okay so which way from here?” The girl asked with gaze about the area. @Fahl RE: Storm's a Brewin[Hatching] - Fahl - Sep 01 2020
The change in altitude as he situated himself on Stormy's back made Fahl giddy; this was not due to lightheadedness but instead the rush of being at a greater vantage point. Pisces sprawled out before him, and he could see all the dips and hollows in the ground that he normally would have crawled for many minutes to find. His acquaintance was a lucky one to have been blessed with such a view. And now that he was aware of this advantage, a part of him craved to obtain this view through his own power.
It took him a while to gain his bearings between keeping himself steady on another living, breathing individual and familiarizing himself again with his home. He surveyed the area, trying to pick out his preferred fishing spot amongst the many similar spots. Crawling forward, Fahl almost toppled off and had to take the advice of gripping onto tufts of what Stormy referred to as her mane. Once the threat of falling seemed a little less possible, he released his hold and said with a nod, "In direct... ion of where water falls. Three pools clumped close together. Like they're almost one big pool. That's where I go." @Stormy RE: Storm's a Brewin[Hatching] - Stormy - Sep 09 2020
The plucky little filly straightened her posture as she stood up with the lizard creature known as Fahl on her back. It was an odd feeling having something on her back, but she quickly grew used to the feeling of Fahl being perched on her back. He wasn’t very heavy so it was bordering on a nice feeling having her friend close. It was comforting almost to feel him on her back. She wondered how he felt being perched on her back. ”How do you like it up there? Not scared are you?” The little filly questioned gently, hopefully the new height wasn’t scary for him. The little filly moved at a slow even trot, this giving a slight rocking motion to her movements at least it would feel like rocking to Fahl.As she moved the little filly turned her head every now and again to check on Fahl and make sure he wasn’t going to fall or anything. The little filly let out a soft giggle as she felt his claws slip as he moved. She turned her head peering back at him through grey hazel eyes. ”Are you okay? Move farther than you thought you were?” She asked gently realizing that he had to grab some of her short mane to stabilize himself. Once he released her mane she smiled lightly as he spoke. Taking his directions she took a slight turn and continued her gentle rocking trot. It didn’t take her long to get there with her long legs, the trip was rather easy. At the edge of one of the ponds the little filly knelt down to allow Fahl to climb off her back. The little filly stood enthralled by the pools. The way the light glittered off the pools had the little filly enraptured by the sight. It was so beautiful. The little filly rocked to her hooves once more and slowly crept up to the pool of water. Slowly she leaned over the crystal clear reflective surface of the pools. The little girl finally saw herself for the first time. She startled her eyes going wide. She had two large horns. One protruding from her forehead, and one from the top of her nose. They were beautifully smooth and a soft pearly white with gentle rainbow pearlesnes to them. Most of the front of her face was ghost white while her cheeks were a silvery grey color. She blinked several times just standing there looking at herself. @Fahl Note: sorry for the late reply. I had some irl stuff happen and hadn't been able to get on to post much. PM me I was wondering where you would like to take our thread from here? RE: Storm's a Brewin[Hatching] - Fahl - Sep 18 2020
Gravity asserted itself on his thoughts when the ground rushed up to meet him at their destination. Much the same as he'd climbed aboard, Fahl disembarked with a leap. The landing jarred limbs and he narrowly avoided stumbling face-first into the water lapping at the pool's edge. He paced back and forth a couple times, walking off whatever blunder might have been noticed. Being viewed as clumsy within his own home would not do.
It was only once this had ceased that he took notice of Stormy. Legs straightened from a kneel, she was peering down at her reflection. During the other's absorption, Fahl reconsidered her appearance. Eyes lingered again on those two horns, measuring the sharpness of their points. This time, he did not scurry back in a bout of childish fear. Instead his mind acknowledged a similarity to his teacher: although their placement and color differed, these were not the first curved things he'd seen protruding from a Gembound's head. His attention darted to the water himself, taking in the absence of such projections. Ordinarily, he'd pay no mind to what stared back at him from the glassy surface, accustomed to what he saw. Now a doubt stirred, awakened by the possibility of what might be missing. He shook this into submission, unwilling to entertain it for the moment. Fahl crept closer to Stormy. Ripples disturbed the reflection as he dipped a foot in and swirled it around. Tiny fish dwelling hidden amongst the rocks at the bottom fled from the intrusion in a disorganized panic. Passing up the opportunity to dive in with a splash and snap at the glinting figures, he submerged another foot. Then he eased his body in entirely, the water closing over him. Bubbles drifted to the top, and his head broke past the surface, scales darkened further by the wet clinging to them. "This is swimming." Swaying tail used as a rudder, he swam in a circle for demonstration. Mouth parted slightly in that odd reptilian attempt at a smile. "Can't stay forever like fish though. Have to keep breath in for long as I can." @Stormy |
