RE: Spoils of the Night - Sun-Wukong - Aug 23 2020 Sun cooed happily in the embrace of James' wings. It was a strange feeling having the feathers brush against his fur, though it was not an unwelcome feeling. In fact Sun thought he kind of liked the way being hugged like this felt. Though he could talk rather well now, he still sometimes opted to instead of speaking, make soft hoots and coos to express himself. The little gibbon listened as long face daddy talked. Saying to call him something different because his name for him was a bit long. It was true he had picked quite a long name for his horse father. The little gibbon cuddled close into Renny as he spoke. Renny agreed to take him with him the next time, this caused the little gibbon to let out several pleased hoots.Good he could protect Renny the next time anything happened to him. And he planned to learn how to fight. Sun watched as Renny folded his wings and let them lay beside him. The feathers looked so pretty he couldn’t help but sit and admire them for a time. When Renny said he could touch his wings, the little gibbon let out a few soft hoots. The little gibbon scooted closer to Renny and reached out with a hand to gently brush the feather of the joint. @James @Comet RE: Spoils of the Night - James - Aug 25 2020
@Comet RE: Spoils of the Night - Comet - Aug 26 2020 Comet
Comet pricked her ear, catching Aristotle's soft words. She was happy that Aristotle approved of the feather she wanted. Being a hunter as good as him would be hard, but that was okay. She didn't want to only be a hunter. Comet wanted to be an adventurer too! Which, not to say she wasn't currently, but she could always do better at not getting herself hurt. Like she did today. She felt the enveloping warmth of James, who brought them all closer together. It felt nice, just cuddling with her family. Her head bent down to take a sniff at the rabbit that the horse had brought. She noticed that its head had been crushed, and the pelt looked like it had been through... a lot. But that was okay, she knew that it couldn't be easy for him to catch that rabbit, as he was not suited for hunting things. But it was the effort that mattered. Comet leaned in closer, completely surrounding herself in her family's warmth. @Aristotle RE: Spoils of the Night - Aristotle - Aug 27 2020 Ari
Aristotle admired the feather. His being a smaller decoration, of a rainbow spinner. He had spent hours observing the little birds and they had amazingly left him this small gift. He wore it with pride every day since he had received it. Though he wasn’t sure how Comet had acquired the feather, he was flattered that she wanted to be so much like him. It made him so happy he felt like his heart would burst, and a broad smile spread over his muzzle as he looked down at the girl. Sun and Comet had quickly become his pride and joy. He loved those two children so much it hurt. And James sweet darling James, he was the love of his life and he would do anything for him. Aristotle listened to James and Sun’s conversation halfheartedly. Though he perked up when he heard mention of Sun and Comet going to find him a stick. The lion looked down at the rabbit that James had brought home with him. It looked to be in pretty rough shape. The meat would still be good, but it was most likely bruised from the way the carcass looked. The lion leaned down and tore off a leg quickly crunching it down to bits and swallowing it. @James @Comet RE: Spoils of the Night - Sun-Wukong - Aug 27 2020
Sun hummed happily as he settled into the warmth that was Renny’s embrace. It was warm and safe, and happy here. He felt as if he could stay there forever. It was nice just like it had been when he was in his chrysalis. The little gibbon let out a soft sigh and smiled at Renny’s question. Sun hooted with interest as he looked at the beautiful feather that sun brought out and showed to Daddy. How had she gotten that? It was so big and pretty. She wanted it attached to her ear like daddy had. He smiled and perked up. As Renny snuggled them all in together Sun sighed again happily leaning back against Renny’s chest. Then it came daddy’s turn to announce and show something. He called for someone to come into the house, and soon he heard what sounded like many of him shuffling across the ground. Then the strange creature appeared through the doorway and hid behind Daddy as best it could. It was indeed strange and Sun couldn’t help but sit up straight to get a better look at the creature around Daddy. @James @Comet RE: Spoils of the Night - James - Aug 27 2020

Comet waited for Aristotle to take a chunk of the rabbit before tearing off a leg for herself. Not really for the meat, but for the bone. She enjoyed gnawing on bones, especially when there was a conversation. She pricked her ear when she heard that the lion had brought something. What would it be? And since it didn't look like he was getting up to get it that would mean it was alive! But some parts of it just didn't make sense. He called it 'legs'. What was that supposed to mean? But when she saw what came out, she understood why. It looked like a chunk of wood with countless legs underneath it that it used to move around. No wonder it was called 'legs'. Was it a creature though? There was no gem to be seen on it. @Aristotle RE: Spoils of the Night - Aristotle - Aug 28 2020 Ari
Aristotle smiled letting out a joyous little purr at James flushing and fluffing. He was so cute when he got embarrassed. At least Aristotle thought so, and that's what counted. The lion leaned forward listening to James speak about the ordeal he had gone through in order to get the rabbit. A soft chuckle left the lion as he gently licked James’ cheek. Aristotle glanced behind him feeling Legs sidle up behind him shyly. He hadn’t meant to bring home another child of sorts from the Collector but his reward had ended up, having a life and will of its own. He wasn’t against it, it was just a little strange to say the least. Aristotle shot James a sheepish grin. Aristotle moved to the side to fully reveal the creature known as Last Legs. Who shyly dipped its front at Comet in greeting. @James @Comet RE: Spoils of the Night - Sun-Wukong - Aug 28 2020 Sun let out a soft giggle as Renny nuzzled his belly, Renny’s breath tickling the flesh under his thick golden pelt. Sun sat up straight and made fist thumping against his chest as he puffed up. Sun watched Daddy and Comet take pieces of the rabbit. Daddy easily crunched his bones and all to nothing and swallowed them. Comet however he watched her daintily pull the meat from the bone. She seemed more interested in getting to the bone really than actually eating the meat from what he picked up. Sun monkeyed up to the new friend on all fours. He reached out gently running his hand along the wood. @James @Comet RE: Spoils of the Night - James - Aug 28 2020
