RE: Redfang Rampage - Game Master Dark - Sep 16 2020 The skies of Fornax were quickly growing overcast: a thick fog gathering, a chill grasping the air. Those familiar with the cave would have recognized a storm rolling in; forming of the compressed atmosphere, of the moisture and the false seas.
The vast body of water began to surge with the downbursts of air, great breakers sweeping in a dark, dull grey-green heave toward the shore. It would be difficult to find a Redfang on the best of days: they lurked unseen, deep below the water, and they were rare. There were only a handful in all of Fornax. There were, of course, ways to spot them with magic, or to draw them out--but simply spying one wasn't to be. Carja would spot only the roiling, uneasy seas below, the fog thickening ominously. @Carja @Comet RE: Redfang Rampage - Comet - Sep 16 2020
Redfangs sounded really cool! Comet couldn't wait to try and find one. While Carja was searching the sky, Comet held her breath and stuck her head into the water, but the waters of Fornax were deep, and dark; nothing could be seen. After a few tries, she noticed that the air was getting colder, and fog was rolling in.
The large greenish blue waves where getting wild, and Comet was starting to having trouble staying on the surface, at times almost getting completely submerged. She couldn't imagine how hard it must be for Carja to stay flying in the storm. The storm! That was what was causing all this. Perhaps she could try to stop it? Siphon! She could draw the water from the storm clouds down to where she was. @Game Master Dark RE: Redfang Rampage - Game Master Dark - Sep 16 2020 Comet's magic reached for the clouds, fingers of uncertain power rifling across the shifting threads of fog. A moment later she was drawing the water away, wicking some of the gathering storm's moisture into a splattering of drizzle that fell in hot drops against the shallow surf.
This seemed to have no real effect on the larger weather pattern, a mile or so of churning stormcloud. Whether a stronger surge of magic might have worked was unclear, though it was unlikely. RE: Redfang Rampage - Carja - Sep 16 2020

Darn! Why hadn't it worked? And to top it off, Comet was worried, very worried for Carja's safety of flying straight into the storm. Well, to be honest, if Comet could fly she would've done the same thing that the dragon did. She was crazy like that.
She watched with worry as Carja was blown around in the sky, and suddenly plunged into the water. Comet was about to dive under to help, but a moment later her head popped up and she laughed. @Carja RE: Redfang Rampage - Carja - Sep 16 2020

Comet was worried that the dragon would not be able to make it to shore in the churning waves, but she had underestimated her strength, and size. They soon arrived at the beach without much trouble, and Comet landed on the ground with a happy yelp. She shook out her fur, dampening the inside of Carja's wing, and making her own fur really fluffed up.

Comet shared the same worries with Carja that the Redfangs might not appear because of the storm, but they had to try. Wrestling a giant killer fish was really fun! Who wouldn't want to try that? Well, anyone not crazy probably wouldn't.
