There's no Easter Bunny, there's no Tooth Fairy, and there is no Queen of England

Okay, so Twisted wasn't exactly liking this pup. Too nice, too pacifistic, too magical. She ticked off all the boxes she didn't like. Still, she tolerated her, maintained a barely casual face as she spoke.

But those bubbles?! Too far, man.

She knew that little puppy was just doing it to annoy her, adding another tally to the list. Secretly, she found it a bit impressive-- the siamese had always been one for annoying gembounds given the chance. But she hated having her own tactics turned against her, especially with magic. So when she saw her mouth open to make another cave-damned bubble, she couldn't take it any more.

"Ugh-- just stop it with those!" Twisted snapped. She reared up onto her hind legs, her good paw slicing through the bubble parade and aimed right for the wolf. She had been getting a little bored lately, and her claws really needed a good stretch... why not go for her face? It's simply self care, dear.

As expected the cat was provoked by the bubbles rearing up to swipe at them. But the claw kept going, past the bubbles, and it was aimed right for the pup's face. She wasn't going to try dodging this one, instead, a shield would be of much more use.

But instead of the energy of the shield being gathered in front of her into a solid wall, it the energy instead pushed her back like an explosion, and she was blown head over heels. Flying in the air, she was a white blur. With her body spinning in circles, she does twenty entire back flips. This marvel of a gymnastic move would've been enough to put any olympic athlete to shame. The sheer amount of G forces that Comet experiences during She lands on her back, knocked out cold. And this was before the battle had even started. What a shame.

Well, that was one way to deescalate.

Twisted's paw had been swinging through the air, ready to make contact when a sudden shimmering built up. Almost as if something was pushing back at her, like an invisible barrier. And then... it exploded. Not towards her, goodness no, but in the direction of that one unfortunate little pup. The wolf catapulted head-over-tails an unbelivable number of times as the siamese watched in wide-eyed awe. Over, and over, and over-- caves, you'd think she'd land by this point. Eventually she did, blown all the way back and far from the river bank. And, delightfully, unconscious.

She was still for a long time, the silenced pierced by nothing but the generator's hum. Was she dead? She hoped so. No, if so she'd started melting into that strange goop Twisted saw some lessers do. No stone came out to cradle her, so she wasn't chysalizing either. It was just a good-ol' fashioned knock-out.

Disappointing, but also flat-out hilarious. Eventually, she wasn't able to keep it in anymore. "Ha!" she chortled. "I told you magic never works!" The feline didn't know if she could still hear her, but still, it was funny. Twisted laughed on for what felt like hours, until her sides hurt from the effort. She considered going back to scaling the generator-- but no, her limp paw would do no good. Plus, she didn't want to face the wrath of the pup when she woke up. So instead she padded away, far from the rumbling generator and back to her scrappy nest. She needed a break from all this social interaction.
