Carja tilted her head and cooed, tail flicking back and forth, ”Oh wow... you and Attikias together could make so many cool things! Maybe you could update my saddle with metal rings to tie the straps with... but I'd love that.”

She flopped her head down, happy to be used to lean on, staring out into the jungle, watching the rain fall.

”I can fly you there,” she offered, ”It'll be quicker. But after the rain stops because I don't want to fly soaking wet.”

She loved flying in the rain but it got uncomfortable after a while with the added weight of water and a soaking wet saddle chafing her scales. She much preferred short flights in storms by herself, and even if they did head out now, Talys would have to defend himself against the wind and the rain.

Not ideal.

Carja bumped his shoulder gently and laughed merrily, ”I look forward to seeing what you make! I look forward to it.”

She stared out at the rain, the two of them safe and sound under the tarp and in her nest, her lips drawn back in a human-like smile.

”Yeah. It's always better to watch the rain with a friend,” she said, and lay down to doze.
