RE: the view - James - Jan 13 2021

Oops, James hadn't meant to cause an existential crisis. He perked up as he realized the other was hours old, crests flying up.

"You're new," he said, "You're so articulate for someone so young. I never would have guessed."

Mama bird instincts drove James to make sure this creature could take care of itself, and quickly stepped in beside Isolde, tail feathers shaking.

"Have you eaten or drank yet?", he asked, "If not then I'm certain I can help you find something."

There were pools to drink from all around and various creatures to eat in the other tunnels. James didn't dare harm anything in this cave, not that he would in any cave usually, he was no predator.

"I am a visitor of this cave and of the palace, yes, but I'm a pegasus, and an inhabitant of the vast cave that lays that way," he said, pointing with a wing towards Tunnel F.

The fae would have quite the eyeful to peer at from the branches they scuttled across. That is, if they were awake and present if Isolde ever went through.

RE: the view - Isolde - Jan 15 2021

Isolde blinked at James's revelation. "Am I not supposed to be?" They droned, taking an unsure step. It only felt right, after all.

But, their head twisted as James drew closer. What was this switch? It wasn't normal- or, the normal of the past few minutes, anyways, and Isolde blinked dumbly down to the pegasus. "I have not. I don't think I am-- Hungry? However," they stated. They stamped in place, turning just slightly to face James, their head curling this way and that.

James was a visitor, and a pegasus, and an inhabitant. Hm. Isolde's spiracles flexed as they huffed, the air of one side flowing over James as they thought. "Am I a pegasus, too?" They rumbled gently, curious. At the wing point, they went to look that way, squinting through the trees. There were more caves? Isoldes wings rustled as they swayed their tail, mouth rippling once more. "Perhaps I am a pegasus and a swan. I am like you both."

It made sense to them.

RE: the view - James - Jan 15 2021

James shook his head, "My apologies. There shouldn't be an expectation for your language and understanding as a young gembound. All the others I've met who were so young have always been- well, childish."

He listened to Isolde describe themselves and nodded, "That you are. Have you flown before?"

He shuffled his wings and took a step to the side, "We could fly around, perhaps play a game."

If anything, he needed practice maneuvering and such. It would be fun, too, he rarely got the chance to just fool around.
