What an awfully empirical way to find out that being struck by lightning sucked. Edric only groaned in response to Mirac's insistent questioning. Come on. How was he supposed to beat magic like that?
"OW!" he complained loudly when Mirac poked him, lashing out with a hoof in a knee-jerk reaction. "That's SHARP!" Unfortunately, he couldn't see all that well from where he was lying. His ankle smashed into an inconveniently-located rock, and Edric howled in pain. "OW! THAT'S NOT FAIR!" How come the sword got to use overpowered magic and he couldn't?!

Mirac jolted back as the hoof struck out. It didn't find him, however. Edric's hoof seemed to find an inconveniently placed rock. Mirac blinked. "AH! FUCK YES! The hairy one is NOT dead! This pleases Mirac." Mirac squinted. "What is this...NOT FAIR you speak of, opponent?" Mirac hummed.
"Is it...erruh...because you are on the ground? AH! YES!" Mirac said. He'd clearly figured the issue out. "You cannot ATTACK Mirac while you are on the ground, and you wish to stand, yes? Mirac, TOO, wishes for you to stand up and FIGHT him! Enough laying, it is time for HURTING!"
Mirac's magic reluctantly buzzed to life. A tendril snaked from the ground. It attempted to wrap about Edric, pulling him from the ground. Mirac was finding the controlling the tendril difficult both due to the Boar's size, and the fact he was on his side. "Are you ready to FIGHT again opponent?" Says Mirac the menace.

Knowing that Mirac did not want him dead did not make being wrapped in an oily, corrupted tendril any more pleasant. "NOOOO!" he complained loudly. "I SURRENDER! I DON'T WANT TO HURT! IT'S ONLY FUN WHEN OTHER PEOPLE HURT! NOT ME!"
He narrowed his eyes, staggering as the tendril let him go. Several of his muscles still twitched, refusing to cooperate. "Not FAIR? I mean that your MAGIC is OVERPOWERED! You can't just SHOOT people with LIGHTNING! It's WAY too much of an advantage for you!" He huffed, stomping the ground with a hoof and immediately regretting it as the move stretched a patch of burned skin. "OW! As I was SAYING, if you ever want me to fight you again, there'll be NO LIGHTNING! Lightning magic is UNFAIR. It is SHIT. And I hurt too much to fight now!"

"You...surrender? No more fighting?" Mirac seemed to have trouble understanding the concept. Why would anyone want to stop fighting, unless they were dead? Mirac had never had an issue with being in mind numbing pain! It was part of what made fighting fun! "Mirac likes being hurt as well as hurting! Bleeding is FUN!"
"Lightning is fun TOO! Mirac enjoys playing with it." Mirac went silent. He chewed his teeth, glaring at Edric in thought. It was almost as if he was pouting like a child. He wanted to use his lightning more, but...he did like fighting. "Mmmrrm...Mirac...AGREES to your terms. Mirac will NOT use electricity again. In exchange, you will come back and fight Mirac again. Mirac ENJOYS fighting you. You are FUN, even though you do not like Mirac's fun magic. Mirac will use his other magic! Like flames!"
As a demonstration, Mirac lit himself on fire. Mostly restrained to his iron composite snout, purple black flames crawling up it. "This one is MORE fun! Edric will enjoy fighting next time!"

Edric gave an incredulous look at the sword who liked being hurt. Though from Mirac's behavior, he guessed he shouldn't have been surprised. And of course. Of course he would enjoy playing with something as dangerous as that. It was like playing with--
oh.
Playing with fire.
Which Mirac promptly did.
"Ahahaha," Edric blurted nervously, backing away so quickly he almost tripped. "Of course! These are excellent terms! I will fight you as soon as I have recovered! Hahaha!" Never. He was never going to fight Mirac again, or barge into the Underforge in case Mirac was waiting for him here. He didn't like how forced his laugh sounded, either. Maybe he should have tried in advance to lie better, but it was easier to act in the moment and blurt out whatever came to mind nervously than think ahead and speak calmly when he really wasn't calm.
Maybe with luck, the sword would forget about his promise. Or he could try to wheedle Mirac into not using fire, either. Edric's muscles twitched nervously. Or maybe that was the lightning. "But you know, ha, fire's a... pretty powerful magic too. And I can't do magic! So that wouldn't be fair! Why don't you just fight me physically next time? You're a sword, aren't you? I think swords are supposed to be good at physical combat!"
