RE: [Event] The Trial of Hydra - Darkness - Pumpkin - Jul 20 2020 pumpkin initially tried to shy away from the merchants touch, but failed, pain blossoming through his, sending him into a panic, before falling into blissful sleep. exit pumpkin RE: [Event] The Trial of Hydra - Darkness - Quartz Five-Two-Four - Jul 20 2020 Ru did not know how to respond to Sora's outburst. A part of them wanted to tell Sora that they should have lived like Ru. They should not have formed such strong attachments. They should have met every gembound with the thought they could die the next day, week, or the next cycle. Treating every new friend like it was their last moments together. But after the cycles alone, hatching in this modern cave, they understood better how it felt for these newer gembound. They did not know how harsh things were--how things were when Ru and their kin were around. Had never lived through it. Doubly so for these gembound, who, to Ru's new understanding had lived in the same cave their entire lives. They briefly wondered where the Masked Merchant had stored his test subjects. His feeders. But Ru would not say anything. Not to mention the pig seemed the type to hold a grudge for Ru's words, if they uttered them. With pursed lips, Ru did not respond. Did not say anything as they watched the others sob and threaten the Merchant. When the Masked Merchant approached them, Ru lowered their neck obediently, but their eyes were on the Merchant. Their eyes carried a speck of questioning, brows slightly furrowed. Searching for answers, a method to the madness. Within the pitch black cloak he wore, Ru only saw cold burgundy eyes. And then, the inevitable and always familiar pain came. RE: [Event] The Trial of Hydra - Darkness - Puck - Jul 20 2020 Puck sat by himself. He didn't move. He didn't talk to anyone. But Puck saw. Puck saw the way those touched by the Merchant slumped. Those that tried to flee as well. Puck would be different. He bared his teeth, and a noise like an angry bird's twitter came out. When the hand came for Puck, he launched himself away, attempting to run into Hydra. Puck didn't get far. The pain blossomed throughout him. Rising in intensity until his consciousness was forced to flee. All in the span of a second or two. His body dropped immediately. A oblong chrysalis began to form, blossoming from his horns and face, spreading slowly until there was but a bright red stone in his place. RE: [Event] The Trial of Hydra - Darkness - Howl - Jul 21 2020 ... and, perhaps, the stability they were meant to provide - the protection they were split to be. What they were made for. Others might've struggled, but it was all over in a flash - and the primate welcomed that brief moment of clarity before silence and scapolite enveloped them. exit RE: [Event] The Trial of Hydra - Darkness - Hera - Jul 21 2020
-exit Hera RE: [Event] The Trial of Hydra - Darkness - Charles - Jul 22 2020 As soon as Charles set eyes on the Masked Merchent, he let out a furious squawk and lifted into the air, perhaps pushing off of Anemoi a little too hard, but he was so enveloped by anger and emotions that he couldn't stop himself. RE: [Event] The Trial of Hydra - Darkness - Anemoi - Aug 07 2020 Keeping pace as best she can with her family, Anemoi feels... hollow, almost, as they all make their way to the exit of Hydra. The death and wanton uselessness of all of it... it makes some deep part of her shudder, some part that still hides and waits for the time to actually react. The whole event, for now shoved away in a deep corner marked Do Not Touch by her mind, until she and her family are safe, until they're happier and don't risk losing more of each other. Both physically and mentally. I doubt any of us are going to be.. us after this. The smooth stone under her flippers is what pulls her back to the present, and she levels the toxic green eyes that scan their group with a glare that rivals Hydra's heat. "Despite everything, we lived, and that's all we can do from now on... that's all we will do." She's part talking to herself, part talking to her family and the other survivors, and some small part of her hopes that the toxic ones hear her. Some angry, twisted part of her that both wants their attention and their acknowledgement. RE: [Event] The Trial of Hydra - Darkness - Anemoi - Aug 07 2020 As the Merchant walks from one to the other, each collapsing, Anemoi feels her gem flare slightly before the first of the many is consumed by their gem... Made safe, I assume. He's done this before to us anyway... Morganite's fit of rage does nothing more than pull a... frankly unnerving smile to the hybrid's muzzle, the threat inspiring Anemoi herself. She does make an attempt to stop Pumpkin from doing something they regret, and gently makes sure that the small bird's bauble is near their chrysalis before they gaze at the Merchant, and feel painful ice rip through her veins. Again. She isn't a fan of the cold... "I do hope this isn't something you regret..." she manages to wheeze, curling up and letting her mind finally process the last few hours.. or the last day, even, as her physical and mental pain finally match, a chilling and short shrill shriek of pain finally tearing forth from her mouth before the stone stops growing, she she lays still within it. ;exit Anemoi in Chrysalis |
