RE: [DEATHMATCH] Galleon Vs. One - Galleon - Aug 02 2021 Galleon could barely tell if she had hit One or not. She already wasn't particularly thin-skinned. But she didn't have any time to focus on that. She couldn't see what was happening. She could barely tell what had gone on, besides her attempt to knock One over. But she could feel what was happening. The ground was alive with vibrations, things impacting. It was beginning to overload her sensory pits and her lateral line. Nerves caused electric sparks to ripple down her back. She did the first things her instincts told her: she dove down. By sheer luck, the panic stricken and sense-muddled Galleon managed to avoid most everything. Before she dove, though, she could feel the dull thuds of hotdogs and popcorn buckets hit her back. As she dived deeper, she felt the earth open up to swallow her-- a pocket of broken earth beneath the sand. Galleons heart leapt into her throat. But with quick reflexes Galleon twisted, paddling and exhaling hard and managed to boost herself out of the trap. She'd managed to avoid an untimely chrysalis via pit trap, but found herself forced to stay near the surface. Galleon did not enjoy the idea of running into one of those traps again. Her sanctuary had been tampered with, but by whom? Even though the arena was pitch black, Galleon kept her fin flush against her back. Afraid of whatever had set that trap up of coming for her again. Of, somehow being being spotted, and becoming a target for another trap. Galleon was too disoriented, too cautious to be relieved none of the hazards hit her. But once again, despite the pockets of broken earth beneath, the sands proved her refuge. @One RE: [DEATHMATCH] Galleon Vs. One - One - Aug 03 2021
He barely got a moment to breath before Nemean's shrill voice bounced through the arena. ROUND 6/5 ATTEMPT: Try not to get hit DEFENSE: not really INJURIES: Big bruises, fractured rib, ouchy leg, extremely exhausted, more bruises + twisted ankle RE: [DEATHMATCH] Galleon Vs. One - One - Aug 03 2021
He knew at this point, if he stopped, there was no getting back up again. ROUND 6/5 ATTEMPT: Try not to get hit part two DEFENSE: not really INJURIES: Big bruises, fractured rib, ouchy leg, extremely exhausted, more bruises + twisted ankle (Exit to chrysalis) RE: [DEATHMATCH] Galleon Vs. One - Game Master Dark - Aug 05 2021 DEATHMATCH
"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Man, this was GOOD! "Do you SEE these guys?! THIS is what DEATHMATCH! is all about! LOOK AT THEM GOOOO!" Mini fists beat a hectic rhythm on the boulder head of Chadsworthington Stevenson the Third. Everything about this fight was just about perfect-! Well, okay, not quite enough blood, but. You had the giant monstrous--uh, monster--diving and rising in the arena floor; the little underdog scampering all around; darkness plunging the arena into chaos (of course, Nemean brought spotlights to bear--couldn't miss the ACTION, now, could we?) and a whole concession stand hurtling into the ring. Oh, and of course, the earth shattering and all that. Best of all was the little spot of green that tumbled from the stands and straight into a chrysalis. "Fucking HA!" Nemean cried, and swept a single spotlight (with a point of one gold-glowing finger) to illuminate the rapidly-forming gemstone. "DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT IDIOT FALL?! Hahaha! Get that outta there, someone!" Then the concession stand smashed poor One. Like, totally. Utterly. Just--squish! Nemean winced, and then grinned nervously. (Look how easy it was to just get SQUASHED, man!) "That HAD to hurt!! Nice job, whoever did that! LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE A WINNNNEERRR!" All the lights converged on Galleon--or, uh, wherever she would (hopefully?) emerge. "COME ON OUT, GIANT FISH! Oh, uh-" (Nemean checked her notes) "I MEAN--oh I wasn't far off. COME ON OUT! GALLEON, THE FISH OUT OF WATER!" Nemean was pensive, for a moment, even as the explosions of fireworks burst into the sky and the thrilling drumbeat music drove into a victory frenzy. "Fish out of water" kinda sucked. She needed something better, for a winner! Galleon was a boat, right? "WE HAVE OUR WINNER! GALLEON, THE WARSHIP OF THE UNDERWOOOORLD!" ...And the crowd went wild.
