Are they still icebreakers if it's really hot out?

at the mention of cooked meat, forgraves laughed , short and amused . its unclear whats so funny to him until he speaks again.

"I've been thinking about this for a while! i did my best to learn how to actually cook for the occasion, even asked the chef, nedies, who says hi by the way, in the palace for advice, which mind you was before i had hands, so it was a learning curve!" he chirped with a smile. "but he taught me enough. my family almost got sick of my cooking while i was testing out seasonings and whatnot, but HOPEFULLY i've gotten the hang of the process."

at the blacksmith's thanks, forgraves gave the man another warm smile, "it's my pleasure! i will try to visit every so often, if you don't mind it, which you would be free to do aswell of course, if you saw the need." he said, though he seemed to realize he was being awfully wordsy, adding things to the ends of ends of sentences, so he sighed with an inward shake of the head and smiled again.

after a beat, he got up, brushing his knees, trying not to ruin the swirls he made around the rock, before holding the wooden rake out for the blacksmith to take. "I think i should start the trek home, then. it was a pleasure spending time with you, my friend. talk again soon, i hope?" he chirped, tone cheery.

"Speech." Thoughts.

Ahh, he liked this one. Guileless and kind, aiming simply to be among a throng of creatures that struggled for blood and power. Imagine... cooking!

For a creature such as the Blacksmith, who valued gardens of meditation, it was quite the respite from the norm.

"I will be... glad to see you... in three days, then. And I am sure... I will enjoy... whatever it is that... you cook. My brother... also adores... tea," he added, remembering fondly that Algol kept his own fine tea set just for these occasions. Well--he wouldn't be bringing his tea set to someone else's house, of course. But he certainly enjoyed tea.

"And again, you may... visit here... at any time. You are most... welcome, and... Thank you for having... come."

He swept into a brief, genuine bow, and then stood with hands clasped before him. "Travel safely home... my friend."

"how lucky it is," he thinks, "to have a friend who understands the value of peace."
He gives his own bow in turn, nearly tumbling over in the process and wobbling to balance himself, chuckling.

He's not sure why, but it's relieving to be called his friend. its hard to pin down whether or not other people consider you such, so it's nice to get confirmation! "I will! be safe, Toodleloo!" he chirps, before padding off out of the sanctuary, looking back once with another little wave before actually leaving.

As he made his way back outside, he followed prints in the dirt and sand to find his way back, mentally taking note of the directions, so he can visit this place in the future. for now, preparations!
