RE: [hatch] Awaiting Orders - Oilstone T-One - Jun 05 2024 The Overseer was giving chase, and as soon as she exited the range of the makeshift stone weapons that littered the ground, it was darting in to deliver a piercing burning scratch- Hopefully, at least. Speed was good, but too fast and it made itself clumsy, what with it still being inexperienced. Quickly the valkhound made to swat at the lumbering giant that was the Overseer with a burning paw, then it made to dart back again. It seemed darting and weaving would be the best strategy for it. ROUND 7/? 46% ATTEMPT: Smolder Scratch
DEFENSE: Many Spikes, Burn-Causing Blood INJURIES: Badly Bruised, Hurt Tail, Bleeding Feet @Tectus RE: [hatch] Awaiting Orders - Tectus - Jun 05 2024
The paw came swiftly - too swiftly for the Overseer to react, and fiery pain snapped across her shoulder where the scratch connected. Already halfway through an action, her torso twisted around, claws again curled in so she didn't go skewering her new valkhound, and delivered a quick, fierce blow to their face. ROUND 7/? 62% ATTEMPT: punch right in the face
DEFENSE: fucking UNIT, natural defenses INJURIES: minor burns, scratches, burned scratch @Oilstone T-One RE: [hatch] Awaiting Orders - Oilstone T-One - Jun 07 2024 The attack coming towards it wasn't surprising, it had expected to be retaliated against during this darting that was its preferred tactic. But it had not simply planned to take the attack- No, it intended to weave away from it too. And it managed such with great success, much to its pleasure. It had not only regained its distance, it had avoided a disorienting blow. Again, the valkhound readied itself for the next dart towards the Overseer. ROUND 8/? 46% ATTEMPT: N/A Dodge Interrupt
DEFENSE: Many Spikes, Burn-Causing Blood, Speed INJURIES: Badly Bruised, Hurt Tail, Bleeding Feet @Tectus RE: [hatch] Awaiting Orders - Tectus - Jun 09 2024
She thought the blow would connect, but the slippery thing wove right around her hefty punch, darting away again, out of her reach. She took a second, once all four legs were on the ground, to marvel proudly at the oilstone. It was going to make a fine hound. ROUND 8/? 62% ATTEMPT: as soon as its running, crack the floor, make it stumble
DEFENSE: fucking UNIT, natural defenses INJURIES: minor burns, scratches, burned scratch @Oilstone T-One RE: [hatch] Awaiting Orders - Oilstone T-One - Jun 15 2024 Long legs were all well and good, until one tripped on a trap. The valkhound did its best to turn it’s clawed paws toward the Overseer, trying to ready some magic. But this time, it felt the magic in its throat, instead. A tickle of potential, turned into more. The spell came out strong, a blast of heated air towards Tectus. ROUND 9/9? 35% ATTEMPT: Defensive Heatwave, Stay Back
DEFENSE: Many Spikes, Burn-Causing Blood, Speed INJURIES: Badly Bruised, Hurt Tail, Bleeding Feet, Tripped RE: [hatch] Awaiting Orders - Tectus - Jun 17 2024
As soon as she saw the Oilstone preparing another spell from the distance, she sprang forward, intending on swiftly striking it again to stop the spell from happening, force it to get in closer. But the distance between them was farther then she anticipated and before she could properly close the gap, the blast of hot air was slamming into her face. ROUND 9/? 45% ATTEMPT: interrupt the spell
DEFENSE: fucking UNIT, natural defenses INJURIES: minor burns, scratches, burned scratch @Oilstone T-One and tagging for a battle judge! RE: [hatch] Awaiting Orders - Game Master Dark - Jun 19 2024
