RE: diamond fight - Deli - Apr 25 2025 Deli Ugh, Deli had enough at this point. Hand retracting now, he simply glared at the hybrid that was still pinned beneath him, and just stood up. He was done. She was bleeding and hallucinating, and she'd be suffering here for a while. He could just take the diamond and leave. Fuck. The diamond! He'd dropped it while they were fighting, but he couldn't see it right now. Deli quickly dropped to his knees, running his hands over the floor of the cave, eventually getting right up to the hybrid and shoving his hands under her body, until her found the little shard and wrenched it free. He sighed with relief and stared at it, standing back up and preparing to leave. RE: diamond fight - Shida - Apr 25 2025 Her head was spinning, her body was starting to seize from the poison and spores, she could barely see anymore. All she felt was the fucking cold-ass winter of Hydra and the rumbling beneath the ground - the fucking Ice Worm was coming again, wasn't it? But...no wait, she was in Eridanus. In her cave. And she was losing the Ice Worm, or the piece of it she'd taken with her. RE: diamond fight - Deli - Apr 25 2025 Deli Deli was about to turn when she said the magic word - "The Trials." He stopped and suddenly jerked his head down, eyes widening. "Oh shit, you were in the Trials?" He knew about them - the Collector had certainly supplied more then enough info about what was going on in the Trials, at least. Not so much about what the fucking darkness was, but eh. It was now with a bit of respect that Deli looked at the hybrid. Damn if she survived that shit, she must be pretty tough. He huffed, looking from her, to the diamond, and back. Aw shit, did he feel bad now? That he was gonna leave her here in this state and take her most precious treasure? Deli was an asshole, but that just seemed like a step too far. He groaned and slid to the ground, cross-legged in front of her. "Fuckin. Fine. Here." He flicked the diamond her way and then considered for a second. Like, what, was he gonna give life to that stone or something? It was a loss, but you know what wouldn't be a loss? Having a piece of a Champion over some random diamond. He grinned again. "Say how about...you give me a piece of yours? I'm worthy right?" RE: diamond fight - Shida - Apr 25 2025 Content Warning
This post contains potentially sensitive material: Once again, what she expected of the dog was not what she got. She thought he'd scoff and leave with her precious diamond, but instead he sat down and agreed? To give up the treasure he was about to get away with? RE: diamond fight - Deli - Apr 25 2025 Deli Deli snickered, picking the diamond up to toy with it again. "Yeah I did a number on you, huh?" Probably went a little too far again, but man! She was really asking for it. He sat next to her and watched as she seized - well, no, he didn't. He kinda glanced away, getting very interested in the diamond he was playing with, and waited it out, picking up a small tune to hum while the hybird fought through the venom and the hallucinations. Oh yeah that probably sucked a lot didn't it! Unfortunately, as he'd already learned, there was just about nothing he could really do about it but wait it out. He giggled. "You about done? You gonna tell me about your Trial or something?" RE: diamond fight - Shida - Apr 25 2025 It didn't feel like it was short, but after a few seconds of seizing, Shida at last relaxed with a gasp, her head throbbing form the oxygen deprivation. Another snarl choked out of her jaws and her body went limp. She laid there, breathing heavily, but through the worst of it. She was still feverish and her shoulder hurt, but the hallucinogenics were finally wearing away. RE: diamond fight - Deli - Apr 25 2025 Deli Deli threw their hands up and laughed. She was so feisty it was funny! Literally sitting there bleeding and half dead and still throwing curses at him. He kinda liked her! Of course, they weren't gonna be friends or anything, fuck her, but he could feel something of a kindred spirit at least. "Okaaaay, fine! I'll be back." He squeezed out of the cave (leaving the diamond behind - he made a deal, after all) and started scrounging around the area. Unfortunately, Deli didn't actually know anything about herbs or treatments or whatever. They usually just took a big leaf or some stray material to bind injuries. But venom antidotes? Yeah. Nothing. So they just shrugged, pulled up a small variety of ferns and random herb looking things, and returned, squeezing through again and holding them up. "Look! Herbs!" RE: diamond fight - Shida - Apr 25 2025 The minutes Shida spent along without that...dog thing cackling in her face might as well have been the most peaceful few minutes of her life. She just laid there, kind of pathetically to be honest, but at least she was alive. She didn't let any big thoughts pass over her just at this moment. She was exhausted. RE: diamond fight - Deli - Apr 25 2025 Deli At her correction, Deli glanced at the herb (rosemary? oops) and shrugged, tossing it away. "Alright, if you say so!" He trotted over and sat down next to her, tearing some of the strands off the fern and pressing them against the wound. Probably a few strands before using the rest to bind it. "So," he chatted while he worked. "Tell me about the Trials. I know there was a few - I know most about the darkness one but you're not all black or glowing or extremely traumatized by it or whatever, so which one did you run? Heard they "reclaimed" Hydra too, whatever the fuck that means." RE: diamond fight - Shida - Apr 25 2025 She sat there and tried not to hiss in too much pain as the leaves were laid on her shoulder. And the irony wasn't lost on her that the one that had inflicted such a shit bite was currently the one doing a mediocre job at treating it. She grit her teeth and sighed. Fuck he wasn't giving up on the Trials thing, was he? |
