Wilder nodded, looking curiously at the machine as it worked. She did wonder what the creature coming out would look like, and how it worked at all. Did it somehow extract what was in the stone, the life it had once been? Did it maybe go off of an inputted design? Was it random? Perhaps rebels had destroyed it out of anger for the artificial lives it produced. Perhaps they felt it devalued their own lives.

It still left a poor taste in Wilder's mouth, but she supposed she would still come back in a cycle to see what hatched out.

She, too, nodded to the Mechanic. "Happy to help. Good luck with it." and by it, she meant the machine. It looked like a hell of a thing to maintain. With a last glance and nod to the other gathered gemboudn, Wilder too exited the building, satisfied with her work.
