Aartappel watched his gorilla buddy attempt to climb down the crystals. Except he seemed...unsure and stuck? Staring back at the mandrill like he wasnt sure what else to do?
"Come down here now...carefully!"
With excitement he quickly dropped to Polaris's floor, patting the ground encouraging his buddy to make the final descent. Though he hoped he would be careful...he seemed built for brutish strength more than agility. That much was obvious even at this age.

Hesitating as the mandrill seemed to barrel down the crystals to the floor, the gorilla only tightened his grip on the few holds he had found to hold his weight. Slowly, he turned his head to peer down at the floor, hearing Aartappel tapping the ground invitingly. "Come down here now...carefully!" Well, he could always just do what they did. Taking a deep breath, he adjusted his hold on the crystal. Leaning back far enough that gravity took its hold over his form, feet scrabbling momentarily with in instinctive terror as he plummeted to the floor. Landing with a quiet thump, the gorilla remained still for a few moments, world spinning as he slowly turned his attention to Aartappel. 'Now what?' |

Aartappel watched his gorilla buddy as it was already the most common thing he had done so far in this fresh life. They looked at him, and at the ground which he was tapping rhythmically; it had to be inviting after all! Though the following events didn't go exactly how the young mandrill thought let alone planned. The young gorilla had turned and just allowed their body to fall! Hitting the ground with a small thud like an inebriated fool! Eyes wide Aartappell let out a very odd vocalization, exclaiming at the possibility that his best bro for life might be hurt! Rushing over he stared at them, luckily though they just stared back. Well that was good, no screaming and they seemed responsive enough.
"Yeah don't do that again, I'm pretty sure we aren't suppose to fall like that..."
Staring at the height of which the gorillas had fallen the young mandrill sighed, relief washing over them as that young energy came rushing back.
"WELL, since we are down here now lets see if you can stand. Lemme get a good look at you! We are best bros from here on out!"

Slowly, hands grabbed at the ground, seeking some sort of hold on the smooth ground as Aartappel made some sort of sound. Was he worried about him? Even Titan knew he was structured more to be on the ground than he was to be in the crystals. Did Aartappel really think he'd be injured that easily from such a small difference in height? "Yeah don't do that again, I'm pretty sure we aren't suppose to fall like that..." Ah, so he was right, Aartappel was worried about him! A small grunt his only answer for a moment as the worry fled from the mandrill's body, replacing itself with the abundant energy he remembered from a few moments ago. "WELL, since we are down here now lets see if you can stand. Lemme get a good look at you! We are best bros from here on out!" Oh, He wanted him to stand up? Silently, Titan simply stared for a few moments, slowly twisting himself around to haul himself up. Unsteady at first, Titan returned to staring at Aartappel. So they were 'best bros' huh? ... Well, he supposed he could live with that. |

With his best bro a-okay and now standing things were looking up! Well maybe a little down, I mean his buddy was looking a little down at him; height difference and all. But that was ok, you needed a big strong member of the group and one who was sneaky and agile! They had both fields covered perfectly already, one could only imagine what they would be like a few cycles down the road! Wide smile Aartappel seemed to be in an eerie silence, stuck in excited thoughts until he caught glimpse of his gorilla bud just starting at him. Rather expectantly he might add. Preparing to speak up about what they could do next he was cut off by a peculiar rumble. One that seemed to be coming from both of them. Curious brown eyes scanned his own stomach, patting it with a vague idea of what it meant.
"Foooood?"

Time drifted by at a snails pace as the two primates simply stood there, one seeming to drift off in thought, and the other a silent statue; Waiting for the boisterous voice of his 'best bro' to return with some sort of answer to an unspoken question. What were they supposed to do now? A loud, and rather sudden grumble shattered the eerie silence, watching the wide smile fall from the Mandrill's face only briefly as Titan moved his hand to gently poke at the white furred stomach. Glancing at Aartappel's face as the mandrill spoke "Foooood?" A nod, he knew what that meant! They were going to find something to keep that odd sound from happening again. Turning away from his companion, Titan moved a few paces forward, pausing to peer over his shoulder at the smaller primate with a rapid tapping on the ground. Throwing his head back slightly as if gesturing to his shoulders. 'Are you coming?' Without waiting for an answer, the Gorilla continued on his path, continuing to glance over his shoulder every few steps to see if Aartappel was going to follow or not, before simply disappearing behind similarly sized crystals. |

Watching his best bro turn away he couldn't help but hold rising curiosity. He watched the wander farther away, step by step and look over their shoulder. Even going so far as to tap the ground as if trying to communicate again. Aartappel stood there, wondering what that could mean, mind reeling into a blank until his best gorilla bro vanished from his sight. Eyes wide he bolted after his friend, easily climbing over the assorted cluster of crystals and towards his wandering bud.
"w-w-wait!!"
Voice loud from such a exclamation he leapt off one of the clusters. Only realizing a little too later that his best bro was just below him.

"w-w-wait!!" His pace faltered, concern rushing through his mind. Was Aartappel alright? Intending to turn to check, the gorilla felt something crash into his back, a silent shout escaping his throat in the form of a loud wheeze. The force of the smaller monkey's form rocketing into him sending Titan skidding across the floor. Panic rushed through his mind, was his buddy okay? Ignoring his own possible injuries that may have been sustained- Only a sore shoulder- the ape twisted himself around to pull the Mandrill in front of him, hands running over Aartappels' smaller form for a moment. Uncertain of any harm, he released his 'best bro,' hand tapping at the floor in concern 'Are you okay??' |

With his best bro having been so concerned he didn't think about moving out of the way! This led Aartappel to crash into his back, fumbling around on the floor and coming to a rolling stop. Limbs splayed out that only matched his dramatic personality. Though it seemed the young gorilla was just fine! Pulling the young mandrill over and checking him for any injuries Aartappel only laughed.
"I'm fine!! Gotta go limp when you fall!...seems to help. BUT ANYWAY I think I should lead, I'm faster. Cover more ground. SCOUT. I mean...It FEELS like the right thing to do..."
He squinted for a moment, nodding along to his own thoughts until he released a exclamation of a decision.
"I'm faster! We'll walk together but its good to be prepared! YEAH! LETS GO!"
Excitement bubbling up the mandrill took off, only to come running back; he would wait for his buddy after all.

Soundlessly, the gorilla watched the smaller Mandrill regain their bearings, intending to just put them on his back since that seemed to be a much safer place for them than the ground. However his actions paused when Aartappel simply laughed! "I'm fine!! Gotta go limp when you fall!...seems to help. BUT ANYWAY I think I should lead, I'm faster. Cover more ground. SCOUT. I mean...It FEELS like the right thing to do..." he'd said, squinting briefly as if thinking over what he'd said, before continuing. "I'm faster! We'll walk together but its good to be prepared! YEAH! LETS GO!" Uncertain, Titan eyed the mandrill for the moment that Aartappel remained still. Watching in hesitation as he raced off, only to come back a moment later. Waiting for him! Sighing quietly, with a small shake of his head to show his faint amusement with the monkey's actions, Titan pulled himself after the small baboon. [/exit titan] |
