RE: Fishing for Folly - Fisher - Jun 20 2015

It took her a while, perhaps because now Fisher was watching her with the utmost intensity, tail wagging eagerly. He was patient for now because he knew she was trying her hardest and that was what mattered. After all, Fisher's spells often failed and it wouldn't be fair to judge her on how quickly she could do something. After a while, she finally revealed a gem that could have come from the bottom of a giant, endless sea and his tail started to go one hundred miles an hour. "Wow!" He yipped, wiggling from head to toe. It was perfect!

She told him he could have whichever he wanted, or even both, but already he had made up his mind. "I want this one! You made it just for me, so it's perfect," he explained in quick, eager chatter, pawing the shimmering stone closer to him. It reminded him of the Spire with its blue, incandescent colors. "Thanks, Arkrael! I'm going to go put it where it'll be safe." With that, he picked it up in his mouth and darted back up to his den, finding a good place to hide it before coming back.

He felt like he should give her a gift back, but he had absolutely nothing for her. Maybe if he had his lucky rock, or any other treasure, he could give her something special... but. "So what now?" He asked, plopping down by her. He still felt kinda worn out from the fight with batcat-- not that it was much of a fight.

"Speech" Thoughts
Arkrael gave a rumbling noise in her chest as she pondered over Fisher's question. She was delighted that he was happy for the gem she had created for him. She was content to pull the first gem she had made closer to her, studying the multiple colors that made up the gem. She wasn't sure what to do now. She was glad to have found him and to catch up with the on goings. Her eyes danced back over to Fisher with a thoughtful gaze. She was starting to feel the throwbacks of failing spells and even using them. A weariness was starting to grip at her, but she didn't want to show it physically. It was all she could do to contain a yawn that was slowly trying to creep up on her

She offered a grin as her tail thumped against the ground once again. "Got anything that you may have in mind to do?" He seemed tired himself really. Maybe that batcat had worn him out more than he was letting on. That was fine though. She would be alright with just laying around here visiting with him. Maybe they could even have a nap? Who knows. She would wait to see if Fisher had any ideas of what he wanted to do.

Fisher had been sleeping before the noise, whatever it was, had stirred him and Ark had come across him. He hadn't been sleeping well, either, with the nightmares. This wasn't something he wanted to tell his friend, of course, no point in worrying her more than he already had. In all honesty though he was still quite worn out and the only possible thing he could think of doing with this barkfriend was go hunting... And he wasn't all that hungry. He was definitely more tired than hungry.

The brown noodle let out a yawn as he stretched out on the floor, his tail twitching. Right... Well... "I don't know, Ark... We can do whatever though, really. I'm up for anything." Yet even as he spoke his eyes got all droopy and he rolled on to his back, stretching more. He was like a small wiggly toddler trying to wake up, tossing and turning in bed, stretching to escape the sleepies but they just kept coming from him.

His copper eyes flashed up towards hers and he flashed a coy, sheepish grin. "We could just do nothin', too. Just chill here for a bit." He reached a paw up towards the ceiling. Even before the lights had come on, the starlight white quartz that littered the ceiling lit up this room. It was breathless to this day and he adored it (almost) as much as his birth place in Cetus.

"Isn't it so pretty here?"

[[ ooc;; if you want to end this with them falling asleep we can do that :'D might be the easiest/fastest way ]]

RE: Fishing for Folly - Arkrael - Jun 21 2015

"Speech" Thoughts
Arkrael watched her barkfriend closely. She grinned as she saw the weariness in his eyes. Then he suddenly moved and stretched out on his back. Now that looked awfully comfortable. She gave a curt nod when he gave the idea of just simply staying there and relaxing. That sounded like the best idea. When his paws reached up towards the ceiling Arkrael tilted her head back and gazed up at all the glimmering gems. A smile instantly pulled at the corners of her muzzle. It probably was the most gorgeous place around, she had to admit. "It is very pretty here," She answered his words easily, her grin growing until it reached her eyes and even exposed a few tips of fangs.

As gorgeous as it was and as much as she would always enjoy sleeping under the gems that represented stars, Arkrael could never truly relocate her home here. Her home was back in Eridanus where she had emerged from her Chrysalis. She would never stay away from there for too long. Her thoughts slowly faded off and her gaze drooped down towards Fisher once again. She grinned and suddenly took up mind to mimic the way he was laying. Slowly she rolled over to her back, stretching out her legs just as he had before she reached her front paws up towards the gems as well. She tilted her head, studying the gems before she relaxed her paws down. "We can chill here. That is perfectly fine by me..." She hummed softly, very unaware of the fact that her eyelids began to droop. It wasn't long before the serenity of sleep slowly washed over her and she was left to roam in gentle dreams.
