RE: Pebble stories - Bevy - Jun 17 2015

The red and black pitohui bird tilted her head, a glint of light shimmering off of her mostly red gem, the flakes of green within almost glowing as she looked at the pretty tree... He was growing towards a light, a bright light, was he? Something about the drawing made her pause and think, almost drift away into a dream... This boy had ambitions, he did. She met his eyes again as he said he was going to leave, and suddenly her quiet nature died away once more, an outburst coming from her chest like a torrent of water.

"Wait!" She peeped, hopping after him, her black crown raising up on her head-- it was a silly look, but she felt the urgancy of the moment through all of her feathers. "Thank you, Usui. I know you'll get there, alright? Just stay strong, keep your head about you, right? And if you ever want to come to Pisces, just call for me-- I know where the softest moss is... And! And... I'll keep that hope bright. Forever. Like the light in your drawing. You grow up big and strong, you hear? I want to meet you when you get there."

With that all said and done, her blood rushing under her skin, she turned and grabbed the stone in her talons and flew home with a new strength. She had to get home... She had to put this gift somewhere safe, and she... She needed time to rest and recover and think over all of the things that had happened in the last week.

Collecting names of the lovers that went wrong
The lovers that went wrong.

Collecting pictures from a flood that wrecked our home,
It was a flood that wrecked this home.

We are the reckless,
We are the wild youth
Chasing visions of our futures
One day we'll reveal the truth
That one will die before he gets there.
