RE: How big or small - Game Master Dark - Mar 14 2019 Rolling for magical presence...
Wilder finds a nearly-glowing piece of pearl. It shimmers soft white, with a warm pink tone when tilted against the light. This gemstone once belonged to a Fledgling (+1) creature of unknown origins. An omnivore, it appeared primarily mammalian in nature, with long, brightly-hued red, green and blue fur, six medium-length doglike legs ending in feline-esque retractable claws, a medium-length snout with apelike nostrils, a hock-length bushy tail, apelike ears, and red goat's eyes. The creature's colors were distributed strangely, with each area of the body a different, pure shade, without spots or stripes. This creature was enormous: nearly the size of an Asian Elephant. Wilder finds a beautiful piece of pale violet Spinel, tinted more on the blue edge of the purple spectrum. It's fascinating to look at: it holds internal facets, each glinting and glittering with even fractional shifts of its position. Depending on the angle of light, different facets seem to shine with light blue-violet, deep purple, or anything in between. Unfortunately, this stone is lifeless. @Wilder RE: How big or small - Wilder - Mar 14 2019 When she found a second chunk of rock, she grabbed it and the other piece she'd gotten and took them down to the other stones she'd collected earlier. She now had a pretty decent collection going - the orange claw one, the little piece of glass thing, a number of interesting bones, and now a pretty little pearl and a very pretty purple gem. Squick could have exploded with the excitement of it all; it waited patiently as Wilder searched, and, as she reached out to it, it squelched with glee. Far from having any nefarious intent, it quivered with excitement, getting ready to leave the warm enclosed space of her stomach. It wanted to see, yes! But it also wanted to find more! it was so exciting, wow! they must be everywhere in the big world!! Without hesitation it hunkered down, focused, and let its magic flow through Wilder's body, the unpleasant sensation that must have been so familiar to her now. And then it gathered itself, preparing itself to enter the cold. When I think. RE: How big or small - Wilder - Mar 15 2019 As soon as her stomach started twisting, Wilder knew that Squick was coming out. She wasn't sure how it did it, but she assumed it was some kind of magic that allowed it to make her vomit. She whipped around so she wouldn't get any bile on the stones and retched, stomach acid, half eaten food, and, of course, Squick spilling onto the dusty stones and bones. The worm soon found itself thrust back out into the cold, wide world, popping its head out from the gross pile that had been ejected alongside it. From an onlooker's standpoint, the sight would have been quite disgusting, but Squick simply shivered and, as Wilder plucked it out from the mess, huddled down into her paw. It looked around with wide eyes and soon caught sight of the pearl's shining surface. It trundled over to the stone, which was as large as its body, and then, with a small twitch of its mandibles, rose up onto its hindmost pairs of legs, placing six of its little paws against the surface of the stone. Then it closed its eyes tightly in concentration. It let out a small, whistling breath as it felt the fizzle of magic through its body, pressing it into the surface of the gem. Finally, as tiredness set in, it sank back down onto all ten limbs and waddled back towards Wilder. Soon it turned back, curled up and watched with round, excited eyes as it waited for its new host to come to life. When I think. @wilder RE: How big or small - Wilder - Mar 17 2019 Wilder watched the little worm wiggle up to the pearl and sat down, prepared to watch the gem grow as the moth's gem had grown. But after they had put their life into the stone, nothing happened. At least, not immediately. RE: How big or small - Squick - Mar 18 2019 Feeling the comforting warm and wetness of the inside of it's host's mouth, Squick hunkered down and peered out over her fangs, blinking its wide eyes eagerly, the pearl a blurred blob of white in the centre of its vision, unmoving. Still, it kept watching, an air of hopefulness about it. Finally, as Wilder's voice broke through its thoughts, the tiny creature let out a small and disheartened squelch. Half-heartedly it reached for its magic, and the connection between them flared weakly. Maybe it's taking a long time because there's less of us. Do you want to try as well? Then we could wait a little longer. I felt the magic work, though! It felt like it did when the big moth came to life! When I think. @Wilder RE: How big or small - Wilder - Mar 18 2019 Wilder thought for a moment, her ears twitching thoughtfully. Should she help Squick give life to it? Maybe it was right and it would only grow if multiple people gave life to it. But...that didn't seem right. For some reason she sensed that what Squick had done would be enough. An instinct as ingrained as the gem on her cheek. Her tails gently waved behind her. RE: How big or small - Squick - Mar 21 2019
Squick felt encouraged by Wilder's certainty. It tried to reach out for her with its magic. Do you really think so, Miss Wilder? Do you think it will take a long time? ...But it seemed like it was too much for the little worm at that moment. Dizziness came crashing in, and a sudden bout of nausea, its thoughts becoming jumbled as the words failed to leave its mind and instead echoed inside. It paused as she spoke again, and let out a tiny squelching sound. It didn't want to answer telepathically, simply trundled up to the back of her mouth and started pushing. It was nice here in its porch, but it wanted to go back home. It was tired after a long day, and it had a lot to look forward to. -exit Squick- When I think. |
