RE: That Last Step's A Doozy - Baratheon - Jul 08 2015 BARATHEON "the world is mine for the taking" The bones again? Well, they seemed to know of his bloodlust initially so he supposed it wouldn't hurt to ask again. He nodded his head, giving her the permission she needed. She could ask as much as she wanted as far as he was concerned! Her advice also seemed reasonable. He nodded again. Not near others while hunting and don't go near fighting. All good advice. "But what if a fight comes to me?" Not that he went out looking for fights but Kerberos had been asking for it! No one would call him food and get away with it! "I don't like to be called names!" He said, sounding like a pouting child. Not that he would go out eating everyone that called him an ugly name... but he wasn't about to take it lying down! The second suggestion seemed risky and in his eyes you could see the wariness. "But... but what if it doesn't work? I don't want to hurt you." He really didn't... Perhaps they should just go to the bones first. Maybe they could find some other plan. The dragon let go of his tail and finally rose onto his four paws. "Let's go ask the bones." words: 202 tagged: Giggle ooc: --- muse: 6/10 "Talking looks like this." Thinking looks like this... RE: That Last Step's A Doozy - Giggle - Jul 08 2015 Giggle chuckled gently as they walked, apparently unconcerned, at least on the surface, with a potential relapse. "I wouldn't put myself in danger, Baratheon, don't worry. I was thinking you and some rats while I watched from far, far away. I can see through the fungus of the cave, which... well, that's another story. But I'd be safe. Do you know what it is that brings you out of it? Does eating bring you out? The hallucinations seemed to work--sorry about that," she added, glancing at him apologetically. "That was my doing, but I didn't have much time to do anything else. Maybe we can find something else like that, though." Here Giggle crested the hill, coming back in sight of the bone pile. She glanced at the dragon pup... cub? Calf... again. "Now--don't go touching the brown mushrooms around the edge, but do you want to roll in the bones? Kerberos loves to do that, and it'll help me read them." She smiled down at him, as friendly as she could. Roll the bones. RE: That Last Step's A Doozy - Baratheon - Jul 08 2015 BARATHEON "the world is mine for the taking" Whoa! She could see through the fungus of the cave? That was so cool! Could he teach her how to do that? His head shook. No. He had to focus. Eating? His nose wrinkled up as he thought about it. "Um... Well... Once when I was about to attack someone I was able to get a hold of myself. But it was only because I got to... to eat a rat." "Eat" was used rather loosely as he'd mostly demolished the rat. Ripping it apart and getting the blood all over himself. Actually... He'd done that twice. Ripped the rats apart and scattered the blood all over himself and managing to get a bit in his mouth. He'd remembered the taste and smell all around him. It had been so satisfying. He shook his head. Oh dear... Couldn't think about that too much. Now his mind was brought back to that vision and he shuddered. Usually things didn't bother him for too long. He was always able to shrug them off and continue on with whatever he was doing with his optimistic thoughts. But that vision... it had disturbed him on another level. "It's fine... I'm glad you did it. It stopped me. It was a little scary but... I... I really am glad you did it." He was sincere with his words. The hallucination opened a whole new bag of worms but proved he could be stopped with them. Baratheon paused at the bone pile, allowing Giggle to take her place. The dragon eyed the mushrooms she was talking about and made a mental note to avoid them. "-- but do you want to roll in the bones? Kerberos loves to do that, and it'll help me read them." His eyes raised and looked at her with wonder. Wow... He could roll in them? He had been upset --still was rather upset-- but when someone offered you the chance to roll in their bone pile you didn't just refuse that! Just wait until he told Kerberos that he rolled in his favorite bone pile! Ha! He crouched, wriggled his rump and then leaped! "Yahoo!" He sailed through the air, wings flapping uselessly, while landed right among the bones. He giggled as he rolled around, scattering them every which way just as she said he could. This was so awesome! His usual optimistic thoughts had returned... At least until something returned to dampen them. words: 404 tagged: Giggle ooc: --- muse: 7/10 "Talking looks like this." Thinking looks like this... RE: That Last Step's A Doozy - Giggle - Jul 08 2015 Giggle chuckled softly, watching with all the patience of an indulgent mother. At the same time she slowly paced around the edge, watching how he tossed the bones, and how they fell, picking out patterns with her eyes and meanings with her mind. Giggle sat down, and spoke clearly and calmly, confident. "The bones speak of the trouble you're having," she began, speaking loud enough to be heard over the clattering of bone. "Your trouble with control. With your natures working as one. And it is a hard battle, Baratheon--against your own very nature. You will need help. Seek all the help you can get, and in time, someone will have an answer. You will find an answer." She looked to him, peering. She wasn't sure if that answer would be a solution, exactly, but an answer it would be--the bones were clear enough about that, at least. But she'd let him finish rolling in the bones, and see what he had to say. Roll the bones. RE: That Last Step's A Doozy - Baratheon - Jul 08 2015 BARATHEON "the world is mine for the taking" The dragon was happy to just flail around in the bones, legs going every which way and tail going side to side. His barely ever seen pink and white gem was exposed to full view as his legs raised in the air. After he'd satisfied himself by rolling around her lay on his back, legs spread eagle as his pink gaze was on Giggle. "That was so awesome!" He said with a laugh. "I love bones!" They were great to chew and great to play in! The best of both worlds! However, he focused again. Thinking over what she said. "So... someone out there will know what I should do?" He thought about this for a moment and a new thought occurred to him as he lay there. "Do you think there's anyone out there like me? Not like Flafe or Ghanyarah or Dragon but... just like me." Flafe was a lamb, Ghanyarah and Dragon were dragons but were scaly and as far as he knew had no Bloodlust or second nature trying to take over them. "If... If I explored and talked to someone do you think I'd eventually find a someone like me that would have all of the answers?" His head tilted to the side, innocent and hopeful as he looked at her. Giggle had very many answers so far and he was sure she'd have answers for this too. words: 233 tagged: Giggle ooc: --- muse: 6/10 "Talking looks like this." Thinking looks like this... RE: That Last Step's A Doozy - Giggle - Jul 08 2015 Giggle tilted her head at the cub-thing's antics, and smiled, more relaxed now that he seemed back to his cheerful, innocent self. She thought over his words, peering at him thoughtfully. "Hmm. Well, I don't know. Nobody I have ever seen is exactly like somebody else. Even with two black birds, one might have a different stone, or be a little larger than the other. But that's a good thing, isn't it? Everyone is unique. Everyone has something special about them, something to share with everyone else." Giggle paused, for a moment, to let that concept sink in--and truth be told, it wasn't anything she'd ever really thought about before, not some great wisdom she'd been holding to herself. But the thought came to her now, and it sounded right. "If you mean, is there another creature with pink and white fur and bloodlust, and little horns and wings? I don't know. I've never seen these Dragon and Ghanyarah ones you speak of. But, do you want that? Do you want someone like you? And if so... why?" Her tone was neutral, not judgmental. She sat quietly watching him, still with a good-natured, calm expression. Roll the bones. RE: That Last Step's A Doozy - Baratheon - Jul 10 2015 BARATHEON "the world is mine for the taking" Baratheon sat up and looked at the hyena, listening intently too her words. He blinked slowly as he considered what she was saying. Well, she was right wasn't she? Even among prey he noticed differences. One rat might be larger or another skinnier like she had said. Wouldn't the world be boring if everyone was exactly the same? That rat the exact same as the other rat or that sheep the exact same as the other? Yes... It would be. When she began to speak again he twitched his ears towards her and once again listened to the wise hyena. He paused to consider her question, pondering it over in his young mind as best as he could then he answered. "Well... not exactly like me, I guess. If everyone were all the same it would be boring but... I do want someone that's a dragon like me. Not the scaly dragons like Dragon and Ghanyarah but someone fluffy with maybe Bloodlust. When there's no one like me I feel..." He looked away. "Alone." Now he felt selfish. He had his sister, Flafe but then she wasn't a dragon. He had Ghanyarah and Dragon but they weren't like him. "I mean, I love my family," He looked back at Giggle. "But I don't think they know what it's like to be me. They certainly don't know what to do when the Bloodlust happens." He had never told anyone this before and was surprised when all of his emotions came gushing out like that. Perhaps he just felt the hyena a wise creature to talk to, one that would listen to him and fully consider his emotions. words: 2 tagged: Giggle ooc: --- muse: 5/10 "Talking looks like this." Thinking looks like this... RE: That Last Step's A Doozy - Giggle - Jul 10 2015 Giggle sighed gently through her nose, then glanced around for a moment, thoughtful, before looking back to the dragon. "I suppose that's reasonable. I have Bones--he's not exactly like me, but he is like a child to me and he is close enough to what I am. I think you'd get along with him," she added. "I'll tell you what, if I ever find another like you, I will come and find you and let you know, hmm? But meanwhile, I can think of a few ways to start working on that. The bloodlust, that is. Or trying to. You just let me know if you want to try, and when, hmm?" Giggle stood, shaking out her coat and then padding over to give the fuzzy dragon a brief nuzzle on his head. Roll the bones. RE: That Last Step's A Doozy - Baratheon - Jul 10 2015 BARATHEON "the world is mine for the taking" Another playmate? He was always up for those! Perhaps he should stick around to meet this Bones... so long as he didn't end up hurting him. That was a new thought. Everyone he met he ended up having an episode with. He really needed to be more careful with what was going on around him and what was going to happen. He couldn't just afford to be carefree and careless like everyone else. As much as he wanted to that would only end up hurting all of his friends and his family in the long run. What if he was playing with a younger gembound and they hurt themselves? He'd be on them in no time. But what could he do? Not play with anyone ever again? That just didn't seem fair... "Thanks, Giggle." He said sincerely, looking up into her eyes with his own large pink ones. When she nuzzled him he giggled and his little tail wagged, not willing to be kept down for too long. "What sort of plan do you have?" He asked curiously. He was quite eager to know and quite eager to try whatever it was that she wanted to do. "If it'll help I'm willing to try whatever it is whenever it's needed!" words: 210 tagged: Giggle ooc: --- muse: 5/10 "Talking looks like this." Thinking looks like this... RE: That Last Step's A Doozy - Giggle - Jul 10 2015 Giggle grinned. "Wait here. I'll show you. Don't eat the mushrooms." With that she turned and padded off, disappearing with a quiet swish into the ferns. Time ticked by; insects scurried past in the dirt and the green, and the sound of a mouse somewhere nearby, gnawing on dry bones, came and went. The hyena was gone for quite some time, too; close to a half an hour, perhaps a bit more. When she returned, she nosed the drowsing dragon and smirked. "Go down this path. Down to my den. See it as a game, for now; don't expect anything, okay? Whatever happens, happens. I'll be safe somewhere else, and I'll be watching." She paused, thinking and then shook out her coat again, this time trying to let a few of the spores drift down onto Baratheon's white fur. Then she frowned, and shrugged. "Well, I was going to watch straight from you, but it'll have to be near the fungus. Just head to my den." With a dry chuckle the hyena turned, padding back toward her bone pile, and away past it, as if finding a safe place to hide. Roll the bones. |
