RE: Adventures in the Swamp - Sun-Wukong - Jul 16 2020

The young little monkey watched as James lay down near him in the mud. Slowly he crawled over to the horse on unsteady limbs. Emerald green eyes bright and curious looked over the horse. A small hand reached out and gently touched the horses side, his small little fingers opening and closing in the stiff fur of James’ body. Rough. Sun spoke the one word simply as he felt his new caretakers body. His own pelt was soft and silky while James was rough and his body fur stiff.

As Aristotle picked the little monkey up ever so gently in his jaws, and set him on James back, Sun couldn’t help the small noise of protest he made as he was picked up. He wasn’t sure he liked mouth carry. It was wet and made his fur feel funny. Instinctively the little monkey wrapped his tiny hands in the horse's mane so he wouldn’t fall off. As the horse stood the little monkey perked curiously at the rocking motion. Now that he liked. It was a steady sure motion. As the horse spoke the little monkey listened intently. He wasn’t sure what the two were talking about, but he felt safe and that was what mattered wasn’t it?

The little monkey sat up straight looking around from his new higher perch on James’ back. This he liked, being up high was fun! A bright laugh of joy left the little monkey as he let out a soft squeal and leaned against James neck snuggling in. Fun! The little monkey exclaimed joyously.

RE: Adventures in the Swamp - Aristotle - Jul 16 2020

Ari
Hope is but a waking dream

As Aristotle watched James lay down and the little monkey crawl over to him. For a moment the young lion just stood watching what the little monkey was going to do. He wanted to watch his curiosity as he felt James for the first time. He watched as the little monkey flexed his fingers against James feeling him. He hated to break up the little guys fun but they needed to head back home with him and get him comfy.

Alright Sun, Up we go. Striding forward Aristotle leaned down picking up the little monkey in his jaws, he lifted him from the ground and gently placed him on James’ back. The little monkey letting out a few noises of protest as he was placed on James’ back. The noises went on ignored. Aristotle kinda liked that name. Sun. Yeah I think that’s a good name for him. He can tell us when he’s older if that really is his name or not. Aristotle mused a slight smile spreading over his muzzle as he watched James stand up.

Homeward bound! The young lion called brightly as he located their scent for an easy trek home. Following their scents back was the best way to find their way home. And they had quite a bit of a trek home. Aristotle took off at a slow trot making sure their pace wouldn’t jostle the little monkey too much on his perch on James’ back.

James shook his head out and pinned his ears for a moment as he adjusted to the feeling of fingers in his mane before letting out a breath and walking forward. He nuzzled Ari gently before turning his head to do the same to Sun before making his way after the lion.

"My rediculous little family," he mumbled in amusement, "Can't wait to tell Pride about this..."

EXIT JAMES!
