Sun stared at long faced daddy defiantly but didn’t hit him again. Instead he merely slumped a bit and moped across long face daddy’s neck. He didn’t want fluffy daddy going alone. SOmething about him leaving to go somewhere he had never been to ask something of someone he had never met. It just sounded off and Sun didn’t like it one bit. Long faced daddy’s word slowly sank in and he calmed but still watched down the street where fluffy daddy had gone.

Sun gave a nod as long face daddy explained what to do. He had never climbed before but he would try. Gently Long faced daddy lay down on the ground so he could get off of him. Blinking Sun looked at the ground. It wasn’t so far now. Slowly the little gibbon worked his way so that he was clinging to long faced daddy’s side and his mane. At his own pace he slid down to the ground and hooted jumping up and down.

Now that he was on the ground he had to figure out how to climb without hurting long face daddy. Thinking for a moment he reached up grabbing two handfuls of long faced daddy’s mane he pulled with his arms and pressed his feet into long faced daddy’s side and attempted to climb up. Slowly he made progress climbing up to long faced daddy’s back where he stood triumphantly. Did it! Did it! Sun cried hooting happily. For now his anger of not being together with fluffy daddy forgotten as he practiced with long faced daddy.

Sun cried out hooting happily as he stood up on Long faced daddy’s back. He had done it! Climbing wasn’t so hard. At least not for him. He was the best! He could do anything he set his mind to! Sun jumped from long faced daddy’s back to the ground and did a little spin on all fours whooping energetically as he jumped up and down grinning and letting out confident little calls. Sun Strong! The little gibbon slammed his hands into the ground. Again Sun grabbed handfuls of long faced daddy’s mane and with ease climbed his way onto his back again.

As long faced daddy stood up, Sun held tight to his mane so he wouldn’t fall off. Sun couldn’t help but wonder where they were going. Until he watched as they walked inside the house. The sweet scent of the lilies wafted into his little nose. They had been planted on the stairs leading to the up floor. At a slow pace they moved into the room where they slept, and that had the big egg shaped gem that fluffy daddy always talked to like it was alive. That was a bit strange at least to him, but if it made fluffy daddy happy he wasn’t going to interfere.

Long face daddy stood along stride both daddy’s bed. Then he was instructed Sun to jump onto the bed while long faced daddy was still standing. Sun crawled to the edge of long faced daddy’s back and looked down. The little gibbon swallowed nervously and let out a soft little coo, he turned his head looking at long faced daddy for a moment. Then the little gibbon took a deep breath to calm his nerves then he jumped. He landed on his butt with a thud and a squeal. From the ground the little gibbon looked up at long faced daddy from the bed and hooted a few times before standing up. Now he had to climb back up. He wasn’t exactly sure how he was going to do that.

The little gibbon approached long faced daddy’s front leg and stared at it for a moment. Tilting his head the little gibbon wrapped his hands around the back of long faced daddy’s leg. Tilting his head to the other side he hooted a few times and leaned back stretching his arms out, then he put one foot on the side of his leg and then lifted his other off the ground. Slowly moving one one hand and one foot up at a time, the little gibbon made his way up to long faced daddy’s shoulder, from there he reached up with one hand and grabbed his mane. The little gibbon wrapped his hand like feet around long faced daddy’s leg. From there he reached up with his other hand and got a good tight hold. From here the little gibbon was at a loss how to continue. For several moments he just hung there gripping long faced daddy’s mane in his hands with his feet wrapped around long faced daddy’s leg. Sun let out several uncertain hoots as he pulled one foot away from the leg and pressed it into the firm flesh of long faced daddy’s shoulder. From there the little gibbon hand over hand and one foot behind the other climbed his way up to long faced daddy’s back. Throwing his hands up the little gibbon let out hoots and whoops of excitement and joy. He had done it! He was getting pretty good at this climbing things. Sun is good? Sun climb good! The little gibbon asked long faced daddy leaning over his neck to try and look him in the face. The he cried out that he was indeed a good climber.

Sun watched curiously as long faced daddy nuzzled the large egg shaped gem. It was strange that both daddy’s showed such a large strange gem affection. But perhaps someday he would understand why it was that they both love the gem so much. Sun peered at the gem from long faced daddy’s back for a moment as they stood there. He could see nothing in the gem, but perhaps it wasn’t a seeing type of thing. Perhaps it was a feeling type of thing, something he couldn’t do yet.

As Sun made his way slowly up, his movements unsure and unsteady.A small smile spread over Sun’s face as he heard long faced daddy encouraging him. Of course he had this, he could do anything! The little gibbon moved at a slow pace but eventually reached his destination atop long faced daddy’s back. The little gibbon let out a whooping hoot as he wiggled and waved his arms over his head excitedly. He wondered now if he could climb the trees in the main room. He wondered if maybe he was meant to be a tree dwelling creature and now a terrestrial creature. As long faced daddy cheered Sun leaned down and hugged the back of long faced daddy’s neck affectionately. Sun is good! Long faced daddy happy? Sun asked curiously as he nuzzled into long faced daddy’s mane.

Sun jumped back down onto the pile of furs that was both daddy’s bed. The little gibbon tilted his head as long faced daddy explained what he wanted Sun to do next. The little gibbon scratched his nose in thought as he looked at long faced daddy with his head lowered. He wasn’t to keen on stepping on long faced daddy’s face. But if it was what long faced daddy wanted then he would do it.

Sun loped over on all fours to long stand in front of long faced daddy’s lowered head. Sun reached up with his hands and grabbed long faced daddy’s forelock in both hands. Gently as he could the little gibbon placed a foot on lon faced daddy’s nose and began to climb much the same way he had on long faced daddy’s neck. From Long faced daddy’s ear he turned sideways and grabbed the mane on the side of his neck and worked his way back to long faced daddy’s back. It was clear the little gibbon was getting quite confident in his climbing.

Sun watched as long faced daddy nodded at his question. He whooped and hooted with joy and excitement at long faced daddy’s approval. He was overjoyed at how happy he was making long faced daddy and how much long faced daddy approved of the things he was doing. Before Sun could jump down to climb back up a fourth time,long faced daddy was moving and they were heading out the back garden of the house.

Sun hooted happily as long faced daddy suggested they have a treat. The little gibbon’s stomach gave a loud rumbled and he realized how hungry he actually was. He hadn’t eaten since morning and it was now afternoon and he hadn’t eaten lunch yet. Sun hooted happily as long faced daddy turned his head back offering him a peach. The little gibbon took the peach that was bigger than his head and sat down on long faced daddy’s back and began to eat. The little gibbon dug in taking as large of bites as his little mouth would allow him as he ate.

Then long faced daddy asked what Sun wanted to do after their lunch. For a moment the little gibbon mulled it over. A wide yawn parted his tiny jaws as he blinked several times. Let’s nap. Sun sleepy. The little gibbon answered taking another bite of the peach.

Sun sat happily on long faced daddy’s back munching away on the peach. He balanced easily as long faced daddy walked back into the house from the garden. The peach was perched in his lap, his hands holding it steady as he took bites from the soft yellow pink flesh of the fruit. The little gibbon cooed happily with his mouth open wide as he took another bite from the fruit. Yummy sweet! Sun chirped between bites his emerald eyes trained on the fruit in front of him. The little gibbon let go of the fruit once his belly was full and he let out a little belch. Then long faced daddy tossed their leftovers away and lay down.

Sun let out a wide yawn as he slid off of long faced daddy’s back. Nimbly he climbed over long face daddy’s front legs and settled in next to long faced daddy’s chest. It was warm and cozy here. The little gibbon curled up with his head on long faced daddy’s leg. A soft hoot escaped the little gibbon as long faced daddy gently groomed him. The soft purring from long faced daddy relaxed the little gibbon and put him on the edge of sleep. Then long faced daddy began to sing and another yawn parted his little jaws and he was fast asleep.
