they nodded, and indeed, flapping his wings seemed to be difficult even for branch hopping almost completely missing getting any semblance of a grip, climbing up next to her gently.

they looked down... it was certainly quite high. yes... quite." they chirped, looking down around at the creatures below.

they laid across the branch, stretching themselves out, looking to Arwen, and smiling.

"of course. i'd take you anywhere you wanted to go, so long as i can still carry you. and then some." they hummed. "maybe one day you'll be able to fly too..?" they suggested. they shrugged.

they looked up at the ceiling of eridanus, still so high up from where they rest. "we'll see all the caves together, one day. i'll.. i'll make sure of it."

"I want to fly," Arwen said, "... One day I'll have wings too. Then we can fly together."

She made her way towards Blue and snuggled into their side, smiling, "When we wake up, let's teach you to fly, okay? So we can get to exploring faster."

She stretched up her arms and yawned before snuggling into their side, purring, "Yeah... That will be nice."

She curled up into Blue's side and purred, antennae down and hands bunched in their feathers.

they purred at the thought. they'd like that. yeah... fly together."

they nodded. "we'll get there. nap first..." they said with a great yawn, a birds screech only barely trailing the end of it. they covered Arwen with one of their wings, claws digging into the branch to keep them steady. their eyes closed, content.

sleep well, my queen....

Arwen slept up against them, curled up nice and tight in a little ball, a silent and still sleeper. She didn't dream so much as contemplate, her mind as active in rest as it was awake.

For she was contemplating how exactly to get Blue into the air.

She was remembering the birds and how they flew, analyzing them and replaying how they flew, hoping to use that to help Blue fly. And wouldn't that be a sight... to see her friend so free in the air, able to carry her and able to take her with them.

She wouldn't be left behind.
