RE: A MILD ARGUMENT - The Sentinel - Jun 23 2021

Inexorably, he followed the blood. His steps left him leaning heavily on the halberd, but he pushed onward. Ah-... to the Womb.

His pace quickened.

There was, to the Sentinel's knowledge, only one growing chrysalis in the Womb. If the bull had gone near it, he'd need to fight it off--but no...

The Sentinel quickly pulled aside, out of sight, and then risked a second glance around a stone. He studied, for a moment, the bull--the tail-end dragging itself into one of the empty holes.

...Why?

His answer came a moment later when it lay down inside: it was resting. Claiming as its own, or a wounded creature gone to ground? He was unsure, but it mattered little. So long as it left Baokrish's rock alone, the Sentinel knew vaguely what to do.

He'd observe--out of sight, for now; his shadows were not coming to his aid to hide him in plain sight--and inform Master Vargas the momen the Leviathan returned. Then, with Vargas dealing with it, he could return to his post.

Wounded, but... at least he was alive.
