RE: I fight, I provide - Belvadair - May 10 2025 ![]() He was left in silence. All by his lonesome, of course he was as silent as prey. But once he couldn't see the faint glow of the necklace. There was a gruff to his voice, but he turned to feel around the end of the tunnel. Every step he took was deliberate and careful. "Thats.. interesting."
From the brief look, he felt some sort of lever on the side of the wall. Just barely within his paw reach. The one eyed pup tried his best to push against it, to see if he could get it to click. "See if you can find anything else?"
From what he was gathering. This place was locked and loaded like a maze. Something useful had to be down here. "Speaking"

RE: I fight, I provide - Game Master Dark - May 10 2025 Another short corridor lay beyond the stone door that rumbled downward.
And should the pups press on, they would find more of the same: cellars and tunnels, all behind hidden doors. The question was, who would have built all of this--and why keep it hidden? Why, when it seemed to be little more than storage space..? @Belvadair RE: I fight, I provide - Zephiran - May 13 2025 ![]() "Ya betcha!"
Zephiran turned on his paws from the entryway. Picking up his container. If anything, he could carry some stuff he finds in it. Whether it be cool or lame, it didn't matter. Not to the silver pup, all things could be used beautifully. Purposely, Zephiran would put his weight on stones around the smaller cellar. It's what triggered the one. So of course he would do a tippy tap dance of his paws. Ears flickering for any sort of noise to indicate he found something. Of course that meant, he'd leave Belvadair in darkness a bit longer. RE: I fight, I provide - Belvadair - May 13 2025 ![]() "I'm going to sit in this tunnel at the end. Come find me when you're done!"
Belvadair called back towards Zephiran, moving to sit down towards the front of the tunnel. Resting his eyes gently. The darker pup felt more confident waiting for help than adventuring alone. There could be two of them against danger if it's meant it. Hopefully it didn't come to that. But he didn't know, he just knew the caverns can be dangerous. "Speaking"

RE: I fight, I provide - Game Master Dark - May 13 2025 Another lever. Another pressure stone, another hidden wall grinding into the darkness--and another short, dark, dusty hallway. This one was thick with cobwebs where spiders had gotten in long ago, but they were no longer present, for a lack of food.
The wall at the end of this room was broken. Beyond: a cellar, again. This one had stairs leading upward: another building in Orion, no doubt, but stone had fallen, blocking the exit here. @Zephiran RE: I fight, I provide - Zephiran - May 14 2025 ![]() "Belvadair! I'll just be a second."
Zephiran turned towards the sound of the churning sounds. A smaller tunnel, but one covered in debris. Some did what he thought was best. Stuck his nose right up against the fallen stone. The very little he could see was from the light of his baubled necklace. Ears cupped forward, curiosity killed him. What he would do to understand even just a little around him.. all while carefully holding the container in his jaws. "Speaking"

RE: I fight, I provide - Game Master Dark - May 16 2025 Generally speaking, using a Hindsight spell on rocks thousands of years old was a crapshoot.
Chances were--millions to one--that Zephiran would simply see... rocks. Existing. Rocks in empty space; rocks in their formation; rocks abandoned in a cellar, collecting dust. But the one in a million happened, perhaps magic reaching to a point where magic had touched the stones. And as he cast, the world fell away; the tunnel ignited with light, albeit dim. The dust was suddenly gone, or mostly. The stone, almost shining, almost new around him. The sounds of shuffling and then, soft voices: "Are you sure the patrol isn't coming this way?" "Not at all tonight, I told you. The Overseer is-" There was a quiet scuffle sound, and a sigh. A creature flicked its claws, and the room grew brighter, an illumination orb providing, well, illumination. Another beast, black hide rippled with glowing purple streaks, shook its head. Four eyes were wrinkled in worry. "I'd rather be quick, anyway. Every one of these meetings is a risk. And if they find out about these tunnels-" "Storage cellars, Veldam. They're storage cellars. Nobody's-" "Nobody's going to believe that. But if we're going to do this..." Footfalls approached. The door ground down a moment later. Both creatures stared, tense, but calmed at the sight of the bipedal, reptilian creature and its almost rat-like companion as the door slid down. "Good, that just leaves..." The voice trailed off, and the stone around Zephiran was worn again, and ancient, and dark; the dust was back, and the voices were long gone. Only an echo of memory remained. @Zephiran RE: I fight, I provide - Zephiran - May 18 2025 ![]() Any word that was said, anything that was happening. Faded away. The world, the caves, it all faded away. The tunnel sparked with a dim light. The dust was nearly gone without a trace, Zephiran looked around. Two voices caught his attention. He couldn't move but his ears flickered. Something about a storage cellar.. But he got a name. Veldam. This place was a meeting place. But why? Just as Zephiran went to move to hurriedly look around. The world flashed back in its dust covered form. A heavy cough came from him. What the hell was that? An echo of a memory. One he was determined to find more. A shake of his head before he made sure he had ahold of the container. Paws turned him back out the hallway. Soon his eyes adjusted, seeing only a little. The figure of the other pup in the distance. "Let’s see what's down here!"
The memory was something he was holding onto. Something he wanted to divulge himself. Maybe one day he'd understand why these meetings took place. Why they made sure to stray away from others? "Speaking"

RE: I fight, I provide - Belvadair - May 24 2025 ![]() "Come on. What do you think this could've been? There's so much for such a little place."
Belvadair shivered. The questions rose. Who built this? Why is it like this? Another cellar. Cobwebs lined the tunnel. A cold breeze stuck to the dark fur of the pup. He gulped his fears down. If the other one wasn't scared, why should he be? With the other pup at his side, both of them exchanged very few words. Belvadair kept his good amber eye peeled for anything. Paws feeling for anything that might click. It brought them to another cellar. Lined with dust and empty cobwebs. Everything aged, items that used to have a purpose broken and in shambles. Nothing remained but the empty room. "C'mon I bet there's another room."
Belvadair shook his head, lining his body against the cellar walls. Dark claws feeling the ground for anything that might click. Alas, his work went unrewarding. Not a single thing happened on his end. Perhaps they are getting smarter about hiding them. "Speaking"

RE: I fight, I provide - Zephiran - May 24 2025 ![]() "I bet they have so many secrets!"
Zephiran knew there was a secret or two hidden down here now. Desperate to find out. So much room for him to have of his own. Perhaps.. Each room could relate to some sort of his hoard in the future. The gray pup stuck to the other side, showing little to no fear. The container was well adjusted by his canines. A shift of his paws, bringing him to the cellar. Well of course he went to the shelving to see if there was anything worth finding. Anything that stuck out. His cyan eyes noticed something.. of course his toes would try and reach for whatever that might be. A curious dog right? "Speaking"
