RE: headpiece filled with straw - Bevy - Oct 08 2015 Dark decided he would go after Teyouma, and that alone filled her with relief. Was he feeling better then? The owl could fly and that likely would be enough to keep him safe from the monkey if worse came to worse. She stared at him, quietly for a moment, assessing the situation. She'd work on it, regardless. It was the only thing she could do. She just had to keep that violent side pinned down until the wedding was over, and then she could work out everything else. Simple enough. It wasn't like she could fly off and kill the monkey just then anyway. Her wing would need time to heal-- as irrational and cruel as the voice seemed, it seemed to handle that logic well enough. It would just keep reminding her that the child was going to destroy them if they didn't strike first. A thought, nothing more. perfect strangers in the night here we are come together ~ <3 to the world we'll testify @Dark RE: headpiece filled with straw - Dark - Oct 08 2015 The owl hooted softly, then sighed. "I wish I could touch you, Bevy," Dark said mournfully. Somehow, he thought it would help. "I wish I could help you. You stay safe too. I'll find him. I'll make sure everything's okay. Don't worry." He tried to sound soothing; he tried to sound reassuring, confident, calm. But the tremble in his voice and the shaking of his wet feathers betrayed him; he was sick, he was probably useless. Still--he had to try, and something in Bevy's voice, something near-broken, just felt wrong to him. It bothered him. He briefly considered, and then--before moving off--tried to touch her mind, with his own, for a moment. The link was there, and strong, forged and held by his emotion, his love for his mother bird, their history together. He sent Bevy not words, but sensation--the feeling of warm feathers, of a comforting body pressed against another, of a cuddling, loving hug. Infused in the sensation was a feeling of reassurance, of gratitude, of confidence--and of love. As the owl turned to follow Teyouma, gently breaking off the link, he only wished that he could do more. @Bevy ; exit Dark RE: headpiece filled with straw - Bevy - Oct 08 2015 Did he have to be so gushy? Calypso turned her head, opened her beak to tell him to just get going already-- the sentimental stuff made her feel so odd. Like something that Enna would have loved, but something she didn't need or want. Instinctively, she wanted to reject his words-- and then, abruptly, she felt like she was hit directly in the chest. The sensations washed over her mind, the comfort, the touch. She felt overwhelming love, only somewhat from Dark, but mostly Enna answering back, scrambling for the relief of Dark's mental connection. There were more emotions though, things that Calypso had been trying to dig up out of herself. The strength she had been trying to find, to keep herself going, for the sake of her own body. She stared, almost blindly, perhaps even through the owl, as he turned and flew off. Even after the connection was broken, she was left feeling... Warmer than before. Dark didn't really understand, but it didn't quite matter. He had tried, and she could... She would keep going, until he got back. The voice seemed to retreat for now, the thoughts of murder and violence just a bit quieter, a bit more distant in her mind. Dark really was a good bird, all things considered. It was nice having him around. Calypso left that thought lingering in her mind as she hopped off to check on the wedding situation, and to tell the others about the bloody child she had created. ;; Bevy exit perfect strangers in the night here we are come together ~ <3 to the world we'll testify @Dark |
