RE: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Blackfeather - Nov 20 2015 Her ears were pinned backwards in fear while her tail was tucked at her side. Eyes still stared at the other creature while she spoke... but she couldn't understand. Everything that went into her ears sounded like water, water rolling through her body and chasing everything away including rational thought. All she could understand was that there was something about Dove's tooth. Black looked back at her sister, who was lying so still... Oh, that poor cat. Her poor little Sister... Her feather. Her tooth... gone? But what about her feather? The feline blinked slowly, everything registered belatedly in her mind. She looked back at the dark creature eyes blinking again. Carry? Leaves? Den? It was all too much, she couldn't comprehend. Her stomach hurt, her head was still swimming. She sank lower to the ground, she wanted to just go to the Void behind her Sister. Perhaps the All Mother would forgive her for abandoning her duties... She would understand. She was merciful... She was perfect. Then why had this happened? "The... the feather... gone... can't... Lost... feather... Mother..." Her eyes stared blankly at the ground as she mumbled her incoherent words. The she-cat herself didn't even know what she was saying. She only had vague ideas of what was going on. Dove was hurt. Her feather, the feather the Mother had given her was gone, she didn't know what to do... Didn't know what was being said. She was lost. 347 @Dovefeather @Cayenne @Arkrael --- 10/10 "Talking looks like this!" Thinking looks like this... We'll light up the sky,

RE: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Arkrael - Nov 20 2015 ![]() When I turn and walk away I'm not holding onto this I'm not wasting words on you I sleep alone in spite of it I'll do anything for you For awhile Arkrael layed in her den, the small cub curled up the single spot she had chosen to stay in. Cayenne had found more wounds within her than just the scratch upon her nose. It turned her stomach just thinking about the rib that had been broken by Vazi. A soft sigh escaped her as she dipped her nose down and gently nuzzled the top of Cure's head just between her little turquoise. Audits twitched and swerved to the side as a noise soon grasped her attention. It was faint, just barely reaching inside her den and she gave a confused look towards the entrance of her den. A frown marred her features before she rose to her paws and with one finally glance towards the slumbering Cure and then to the opposite corner where a pouch was hidden in a tucked away corner, Arkrael slipped free of her Den. Stepping out Arkrael gave a good shake of her pelt before perking her ears up and looked around. She could hear the noises better now and when she realized it was screaming her fur began to stand on end. Lips peeled back to expose her fangs and she gave a step towards the direction only to stop. Cayenne's voice floated through, demanding someone to go to a den and grab her things. Someone was hurt. She bristled before she turned and went right back into her den before coming back out with Cayenne's pouch clamped in her jowls. Her paws carried her swiftly through the fern bushes until she was finally at the area she had heard them in. Her heart thudded when shee saw two collapsed gembounds, plus a familiar feline and Cayenne. She padded quickly over to Cayenne and sat the bag down. "What's going on..." She grumbled darkly, not so much directed at any of them, but at the thought of who had done this. Arkrael sniffed at the two unresponsive gembounds before swinging her gaze to Cayenne. "Did you see? Was it a stag?" She bristled, adrenaline starting to course through her at the idea of Vazi having dared come back and harm the two gembounds. Just touching Dove and the other gem, she could feel them slipping away, and this other cat was absolutely of no help, mumbling incoherent sentences - what was the importance of a feather for Cave's sake, when her sister was dying! Anger and panic boiled in her blood, and she called out for help again in the now silent forest, and she heard the forest respond, giving her a rustling in the ferns. She relaxed when she saw it was Arkrael coming through; the wolf was competent and would surely help them both. But when the wolf saw the two gems cooling down on the ground, she became furious, and Cayenne wanted to throw her hands up in complete frustration. She needed help, not this useless mess of emotions! "No, it wasn't a stag!" She hissed, glaring up at the wolf. "It was some slinking weasel-type thing. She had blood on her mouth as she ran away, and I think she bit the two of them, and that's what making them sick. Now I need you to focus, Ark, and you, cat. If you two don't help me these two will die." "You," She snarled, grabbing the useless cat. "You, stop sniveling and listen to me. I need you to go and get a certain plant that slows heart-rate, can you do that?" She yanked the cat's fur so that they were looking straight at her in the eyes. "Listen to me! If you don't, Dove will die! Would the All Mother want that? No! So be an instrument of her will and just bloody do something!" She panted, caught her breath, and in a snarling tone she described the plant to go and grab, and sent her on her way, practically throwing them on their path. Then she turned to Arkrael and said, somewhat calmer, "I need you to bring them both to the den, Ark. It would take me too long to do it myself. I need that sweet smoke to relax them, and I- oh, you've brought my bag, good, thank you." She picked it up from her feet, surprised that she just now noticed it, searching through it. Good. Then she finally turned to the two gems, checking their breathing, peeling back their eyelids, seeing their pupils enlarged and darkening their eyes almost completely. The torn shoulder of the dog-thing was starting to go green, and she worried that it would turn necrotic if she didn't do something about it soon. "I think I saw the poisoner go that way...." She murmured, looking over them both, parting fur to look clearly at the bites. "I think she took their teeth," she added, seeing their bloodied mouths. Her heart sank when she saw that one of Dove's pretty shimmering teeth were gone. "I need....mm..." She murmured, thinking rapidly. If only she had a magic that would go through and eradicate this sickness in their blood - plants could treat the symptoms, but it wouldn't help the actual cause. She could have something to lower their heart-rate so that the poison would spread slower, she could have maggots on the shoulder to eat the quickly rotting flesh, she could give them something to stop the bleeding, but if there was anything bleeding internally that would be incredibly problematic."Help me get them back to the den, Ark. Right now we need to treat them for shock and possible blood loss." She said, waving her hand at the wolf absently, possible treatments racing through her head. RE: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Blackfeather - Nov 22 2015 The feline stumbled a short distance away before stopping. Wait... She knew what the plant looked like and she was certain that she could do something even better than searching blindly for it. The cat called upon the power of the All Mother and requested her assistance. If her request had been denied then surely it was a sign but that didn't happen. What did happen was a few sprouts growing all over the feline. They grew and grew and finally the cat had a smattering of Dormire flowers across her back. She then paced back to the dark cat-thing and said, "Flowers..." She wasn't all the way back but it was a step in the right direction. 266 @Cayenne @Arkrael --- 6/10 "Talking looks like this!" RE: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Arkrael - Nov 23 2015 ![]() When I turn and walk away I'm not holding onto this I'm not wasting words on you I sleep alone in spite of it I'll do anything for you Arkrael was a little taken aback by the sudden hostility from the Lemur, but in the end the she-wolf really only grinned quietly to herself. With a slow nod at what Cayenne was saying, Arkrael stepped closer to the fallen duo. One of them seemed familiar and she could have sworn she had seen him before, but she just couldn't place a name. Not just yet. Gently she gathered the male up first, moving to gently place him over her back before she finally picked up the feline delicately in her jaws. Once she was sure she had a secure hold on both of them she passed Cayenne one look before she turned tail and trotted off back to her den. It didn't take her long at all to get back and once she was Arkrael lowered herself down to her stomach before she eased Basil off of her back. She glanced at him before she headed into the den and sat Dove down into the homemade bed she had made. The cub, Cure, had stirred awake and she offered the leopard only a smile as thee cub looked on in curiosity before she went back out to pull Basil inside. Making sure the two were comfortable Arkrael waited for Cayenne to follow in as well. Hopefully she would be able to save the two who had been injured. Idly her mind wandered to thoughts concerning the attacker. She wasn't sure she knew of what Cayenne had mentioned in her panicked. Either way, once everything was taken care of here she would most certainly be searching for the assailant and make sure they were no longer within Eridanus. There was no room in this place for such creatures as those who harmed others. RE: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cayenne - Nov 25 2015 ![]() I've been longing for daisies to push through the floor I've never really felt like this before And I wish plant life would grow all around me so I won't feel dead anymore She had watched the dazed cat stumble away like anamnesiac, barely able to comprehend what was going on, and it worried her, worried that she wouldn't be able to find the right flowers she'd described. She had turned away after telling her and had spoken to Ark, and after a little while, was pleasantly surprised when the cat had come back with the flowers blooming all over her. She raised her eyebrows and plucked one gently, twisting it around, satisfied it was the one she wanted. "An earthen affinity...." She murmured, tucking away the information for later. "Follow us, please." She said to the cat, tugging on their fur to help them. She need the flowers fresh, and with the cat to act as her supply, she had to have them nearby. Even if they were catatonic (here she cracked a grim smile at her own joke), it was fine. They were helping either way. She had climbed onto the wolf to make sure the cat-dog thing stayed on her back, and watched to make sure the cat was following, and they made it to her den in good time. She helped take the two gems down and safely on the ground, nodding to Cure, who watched all of this with sleepy eyes. She bit her lip, staring at the two, and raised her hand over the dog thing. Perhaps...perhaps she could get a feel for the poison in their blood? She heard Ark slink around to put more of the herb over the fire, since it had already cleared, and she faintly agreed with the notion while she focused. Cure could use the smoke, and the two poisoned gems needed it desperately. She pulled the scarf around her neck over her nose, closing her eyes. She could....see....the sickness in them, through her eyelids. The dog's bloodstream glowed in the blackness, sludging green nastiness that shouldn't be there. Excitement and joy swarmed her, joy that she could see this, and she opened her eyes and lost the spell, the delicate focus necessary snapped by her impatience. She swore, and tried again. OOC | Go go! Words | Tags | RE: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cayenne - Nov 25 2015 ![]() I've been longing for daisies to push through the floor I've never really felt like this before And I wish plant life would grow all around me so I won't feel dead anymore Okay, you can do this, she thought to herself. It was possible to see their poison and...do something to it. What, she didn't know. Could she manipulate it? Make it move, separate itself from their blood? She tapped her lip with her gem finger, feeling its sharp tip. ....She could experiment on the dog thing before she tried this on her sister. She valued her sister's life more than this stranger - who, for all she knew, could've been a catalyst to this whole tangled mess. but before she did so, she turned to the cat, who stood on the very edge of the den's entrance and beckoned her further. "You. Plant maker. I need you to do something." The cat's eyes started to drift again, and she snapped her fingers at her impatiently. "Hey! Listen! I need you to take those flowers that are growing off of you and make them into a potion for them to drink. It needs to slow the progress of the poison." She walked over to the cat and dragged her inside the den, tying another scarf around her nose. "Here, this will keep you from getting sleepy. Now look, you just chew up the flowers like this," She ate one, chewing the perfume-tasting petals, and spit the mush into her acorn bowl. "There's already honey in it and a few mushed up iceberries for taste. But this potion needs a lot of flowers, because it needs to be potent. This means you can't swallow any of this. You understand?" She handed the bowl to her, frowning. "What's your name, anyway?" After she got the cat to do her job, she turned back to the dog-thing and sat down to focus. She took deep breaths, ignoring everything else. She raised her hand to touch the things fur, feeling its shallow breathing and its fever, and closed her eyes, seeing the bloodstream of the creature under her eyelids again. With a deep breath, she isolated the poison from his blood, her mental focus almost highlighting it all, making it shine with a violent nasty green light. With a will, she started to move it all, making it follow the flow of his blood, which was thankfully slow because of the thing's now very deep sleep. It gave her time to slowly collect it all, forcing it all to slowly seep out of its open shoulder wound, pouring down its fur in a sickly green ooze. RE: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cayenne - Dec 08 2015 She sighed and stood back, feeling so utterly drained, and she moved over to the cat, taking the now-full bowl from her. She muttered a soft thank you, then sat back down at the thing's side. Its breathing was softer now, more relaxed, and she took this as a good sign. She turned the thing over so that she could pour half of the bowl's contents down its gullet, and it swallowed out of reflex. This was good. The poison was already waiting to exit its body, and with this, it would exit slowly and at an even pace, and the thing would take its time healing where the poison had damaged. Then she walked over to her sister, her heart in her throat. After seeing the thing relax and drift into a deep sleep, seeing her sister suffer from the poison anew was terrifying. Her determination dimmed, her confidence a tattered mess. Could she really do this? She raised her hand, then looked, really looked at it. Her hand was shaking. No - she wouldn't try while she was shaking, she wouldn't cast in this state and rip her sister apart like she did with that stag. She would take her time till she calmed down. Instead, she gave her sister the rest of the potion, letting her calm down somewhat. She pet her sister's fur away from her closed eyes, seeing that they were darting around under the fever, and her skin was red-hot. It set Cayenne on edge, but she couldn't and wouldn't do anything until she knew she was able to. RE: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cayenne - Dec 15 2015 Her confidence was an ademption of what it used to be, and she knew it, so she sat by her sister and waited patiently until she felt good enough to try again. She thought of all the horrible ways it could possibly go wrong; the poison could be spread around faster, or go to places that would do the most damage; she could accidentally make it all go towards the heart and make her go into some sort of shock or cardiac arrest, and she had absolutely no way to fix that, that she knew of. Chills crept down her spine, and she started shivering. She could kill Dovefeather with a botched spell. She could kill her on purpose, if she wanted to. Her breathing came rapidly and quickly, lost in thought, and she didn't even try to cast anything, she was so scared. RE: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cayenne - Dec 15 2015 She was shaking and shivering, unseeing, just thinking of the many ways her sister could suffer if something went wrong; she could end up writhing and frothing on the ground with no way to save her. Dovefeather, with her powerful magic and her strange ways and her mysticism and her All Mother would probably come to haunt her for killing her, for being too young and useless to save her. Cayenne sniffed, her hand in Dove's fur, and she could feel the heat radiating from her, could feel the fever, even though she was resting nicely now, with her potion's effects. A sound startled her out of her grim thoughts; the dog-cat-thing behind her turned over in his sleep, grunting and saying something in his sleep. He wasn't lost in a fever anymore, if he was able to rest that deeply, she thought to herself. She looked over to him, then walked over, looking down at him. She looked at that strange blindfold, and reached down and pulled it up from the thing's eyes, wondering if they'd gotten hurt at some point, and it needed attention - but when she peeled back their eyelids, one after the other, their eyes were just fine, rolling around in sleep. it wasn't until she stood back from that that she realized she'd stopped shivering and stopped being so cowardly. This thing's state of being....was because of her. He was sleeping peacefully, the poison slowly dripping out from their body, because of her. She could do this. She just needed to try. So Cayenne walked back to her sister, and sat down next to her, petting her fur next to her ear, and she said softly as she closed her eyes, "I'm going to try and help, Dove. Just wait for me." Again, as with the dog-thing, she saw the poison in her veins, and she asked her magic to help her move it away, towards one particularly large cut, making sure to avoid major pathways and anything leading to the heart. She felt like she had a very small army at her command, and while she was working, slowly, very slowly, the comment of Khloros saying he had many small friends suddenly made sense. Well....so did she, now. When she was satisfied that the poison was inevitably making its way out of Dove's body, and that she was resting peacefully now, she sat back, feeling drained and utterly tired. But satisfied. She could do it. Softly, slowly, Cayenne drifted off to sleep, at peace now that both of her patients were safe. |
