The large buck listened to his children, eyes boring into them as they cowered and began to retell the tale. He was actually quite proud of them for sparring and taking it upon themselves to practice their skills but he was disappointed that they'd taken it so far as to hurt each other so. He shook his great antlered head after everything was said and sighed. "I am proud that you two would want to practice sparring with each other, that initiative is a great thing. However, I do not want you to take it so far that you hurt or possibly maim each other. I need you two in tact to help deal with the carnivores when they come." His eyes narrowed as he lightly stomped a hoof on the ground, the sound echoing his displeasure.

Now his voice took on a distinctly sharper tone. "You two are my best fighters and my beloved children. Next time you want to spar do not carry it so far. If you really need to take out your anger or try deadly moves use one of the many lesser gembounds around here or for goodness sake go find a carnivore. Too many of them walk through here anyway." He snorted as he finished is scolding. "Do I make myself clear?"
