Beta stopped its smiling for a second and leaned forward, a little concerned. Had she gotten hurt, somehow? Maybe a little while ago, it wouldn't have really cared, but now it did, for some reason. It would feel bad if she'd gotten hurt trying to train with it after willingly accepting the challenge. "Hey...uh, you hit your head or something? You feelin sick or something?" But then she just fell asleep right there and it realized - she was tired. It had chased her until she was too exhausted to move.

And that, in its book, was not only a valid strategy, but a good one. Still, it wasn't going to leave its messes around. It stepped forward and picked up the cat by her scruff and trotted off into Canis. Maybe it would leave her near the Bonebound - surely they'd take care of some stray cat left on their doorstep.

They carried her all the way until they reached where they knew the Bonebound resided and then began searching for a den or something, any kind of shelter. It eventually came across a little crevice in the wall containing some fresh water so it set the cat down in there.

Once it had her safely in shelter, it turned and left, beginning to sniff the air for any kind of lesser creature. Once it had pinpointed a nearby rat, it crouched into a stalk until it came across the creature. It lunged forward, bringing a heavy paw down on its neck and snapping its spine.

It grabbed the small meal and carried it back to the cat, leaving her with food and water for when she woke up. It thought, for a moment, about standing by to guard her while she slept, but it figured that it had probably done enough. Shrugging, it turned and left her there, to find training elsewhere...or perhaps a good nap after all of that. The cat had the right idea.
