Thundering on hooves of freedom

Comet's mouth stretched into a wide smile when the dragon seemed to quite content with them being there. The sleepy aura coming from Lyn had a calming effect over the pup. Now she wanted to sleep too! "Let's stay here for a bit, renny. Just a small nap." She laid on her back, and let herself drift off to sleep on the dragon's flower tail.

James sighed and settled down too, exasperated. What happened to running until they couldn't walk? Now they were sleeping on top of a serpent's flower tail.

"Thank you," he said to it, voice soft as his daughter fell asleep, "Do you mind? We did just run an awful long time."

He looked over to Comet and lay beside her, tucking her into his side like he always did. He sighed again and fluffed his feathers, his heart still beating much too fast to rest. He just looked around, at the secret place hidden from the rest of Pegasus.

"I won't tell anyone this is here," he said softly, "Promise."
