RE: [Event] Pocket Lessers - Obstacle Course - Yvan - Jun 12 2024 That's... Oh boy. 1 point.. somehow please consolidate yvan/knightly's tags!! <3 RE: [Event] Pocket Lessers - Obstacle Course - Richter - Jun 13 2024
For an event that was meant to be a race, Richter projected no signs of hurry while his fellow competitors frenziedly urged along their Lesser companions to conquer the first obstacle in their path. Other than a discomforted twitch of his flopping ears as the music switched tracks to a higher energy but equally loud selection, he stood still, eyes glued more so to the moving images providing an overhead view of the activity in the arena than the important task set before him. He evaluated the sight with a low, appreciative whistle and slurped at the drink which remained clutched in his paw. That's 0 points, folks, for those at home keeping score. RE: [Event] Pocket Lessers - Obstacle Course - Rhapsody - Jun 13 2024 Rhapsody looked towards the moth on their clawed finger, then looked towards the obstacle course. ”Bone-Eater… fly!!!” the child exclaimed. They tried to convey the thought of going over the first obstacle with its flight. That there were good things from doing this. Unfortunately, Bone-Eater was a moth, and moths liked light. Instead of flying over the first obstacle, Bone-Eater flew vaguely in the direction of light. Points: 0 RE: [Event] Pocket Lessers - Obstacle Course - Raiden - Jun 13 2024 Raiden had quickly grown to adore his crystalback rat friend. He had decided to name them Sparkles, for the sparkly gems on their back. ”Sparkles, climb, please?” he asked politely, since his older sib said manners were important. All the while, he subconsciously reached out to the mental link, trying to convey what he wished to happen. Much to his delight, his new friend listened! Sparkles climbed with hurdle with the ease that came with being a rat, even a somewhat smaller one than the usual cave rats. Points: 2 RE: [Event] Pocket Lessers - Obstacle Course - Yanyue - Jun 13 2024 Yanyue was quick to try and make friends with the flying pitch rat. But considering Yanyue was so friendly they considered the Mysterious Rift a friend, that was not too surprising. Eventually, they even got a friendly chirp from the shy yet social creature. The dragon decided to name their new friend Chirp. ”Chirp, do you feel up to flying? It would be cool, and I’ll meet you at the end, I promise!” they told their friend, conveying the same vibe over the magical bond. Chirp, however, was frightened by all the lights and noise, and didn’t move an inch. Yanyue noticed this belatedly and turned towards soothing their new friend instead over the bond. Points: 0 RE: [Event] Pocket Lessers - Obstacle Course - Cyg - Jun 13 2024 Stella looked excited, before the lights came up. Then she looked a little stunned and disoriented, but she recovered quickly enough. The Mystfox gave a decent leap over the obstacle with only a little encouragement from Cyg. After all, the Mystfox greatly enjoyed games, and she was used to playing games led by Cyg. She landed on the other side with only a little stumble, and then flaunted a bit in the light, now adjusted to it. Points: 1 RE: [Event] Pocket Lessers - Obstacle Course - Luminary - Jun 13 2024 Luminary flinched a bit at the hostile way the imp called it a drone, as if that was an insult. That wasn’t even fully true, really… Drones served Mother, like their parent the Vindicator. But the Luminary’s purpose was to give light to those it met, according to its other parent, Doru. It looked around to see if any of the other candidates had noticed, and tentatively pet the Wooly Deer, trying their best to accept the odd pronged horn. It was natural, and it would be rude to judge a creature for simply being, and yet its mind hated this disorder, slight though it was. ”Friend, could you jump?” the child asked the wooly deer without opening its mouth, the words projecting aloud without mouth-speech others used. Its friend seemed to understand quite well what Luminary meant, giving an effortless jump over. Almost a perfect jump, in fact. It sent a feeling of happiness over the link, genuine and earnestly meant. Points: 2 RE: [Event] Pocket Lessers - Obstacle Course - Edeltraud - Jun 14 2024 Under the pat of the first imp she visibly flinched. Edeltraud steeled herself for the upcoming pats, almost stone stiff as they each gave her a pat. Edeltraud was willing to put up with it in exchange for multiple familiars. Which turned out to be for naught once the imp with the hat told her 'no'. Her smile turned into a grimace. She'd take whatever she was given. How much better things would've gone if she'd been able to charm them! Whatever Edeltraud was expecting to get pulled out, it wasn't a dinosaur nearly three times her height. Edeltraud stumbled back, eyes wide. She shook herself out. "Wheh! I wasn't expecting one this big. Ah, I thank you for it, though! I suppose this is multiple familiars in one in a way, no?" Despite her words, Edeltraud was irritated at the beast. What a difficult, large animal! It would be a trial to--she froze her thoughts. She didn't want it to read her intentions. Edeltraud cleared her throat, relaxing her smile and beating large lashes at the sailfin singer. "Right then! You're my new friend of the day, I suppose! I have plenty of lesser friends, I can only see ourselves bonding quickly. Follow me, we've got a competition to win!" Edeltraud lead the sailfin singer to the start line, trotting to a stop. It didn't take long for the countdown to begin. She was tense, anticipation building as she listened to the countdown. At go, Edeltraud urged the beast on. There was some resentment on her part, and stubbornness on the part of the singer, and that likely led to them barely passing the first obstacle. After tossing its head and letting out a honk, it galloped off. It leapt over the hurdle, nearly clearing it. Its back hooves clipped it, and threw it off, sending it stumbling. The slowdown cost it some time, but it went bounding again after regaining its bearings. Points: 1 RE: [Event] Pocket Lessers - Obstacle Course - Yume - Jun 14 2024 Yume tucked her head into herself at the light show, but as soon as she heard the countdown begin she poked her head from between her coils, ears barely squeezed out. "Oh, that's the signal Bubble! Go go go!" The spider raised itself up and set off in a long-legged run towards the hurdle. Yume realized then that she had no idea how Bubble would clear the hurdle, it didn't exactly look like it could jump. Thankfully, Bubble knew how Bubble worked. Bubble simply climbed up and then down the hurdle. Its clawed feet weren't exactly suited for it, but given the length of its legs, it was able to clear the obstacle. It took more time than it would for the others to jump, but in the end they still were able to pass the hurdle. Yume cheered as Bubble passed, racing on to the next obstacle.
