RE: We're Still Here - Aran - Aug 31 2020 TW: description of skin peeling but like. It's nasty. Transfer of wounds. Description of pain Aran wondered if that kid would try to kill him next. He wondered if he even had a chance of winning, with the power that lightning strike had. Maybe the kid should have kept that in mind before she used it. She probably would now. "I can't do much if my spells won't work, kid." he said before looking at the downed wolf again. One more time. This time, he did feel the spell activate- an extremely powerful spell it felt like. Aran saw it before he felt it. The skin of Comet withering away, blood being brought down, but the skin and fur being replaced like nothing wrong happened. As if she hadn't just been struck by lightning. And then the pain came. Searing, digging straight into his veins. Everything burned. He could tell the same happened to his own body that happened to the wolf- except the pain was unbearable. His head hung low, and his legs were quivering. It had taken all of his might to not let his limbs go at that point. And then those same injuries appeared on his own form. And some- half it looked like, of Comet's were gone. As if it wasn't as bad as it actually was. This felt worse than the hundreds of tiny teeth digging into his skin from before. That felt like hundreds of pinches. This - this was like being melted from the inside out. "Are you happy now? he wheezed out. This was going to take forever to heal. @Comet @Madhukar RE: We're Still Here - Comet - Sep 01 2020
Comet felt herself drifting away when she felt the burnt skin on her back start to whither away. It hurt, but brought relief at the safe time. The pain started to fade away, and she felt the warmth of her skin and fur growing over the wound. That wasn't to say that the wound had gone away fully, but it had healed a considerable amount, and it was covered with fur now, so at first glance it could not be seen.
She saw that the deer was in pain. The skin on their back looked like the burn she had, because it was her burn, well, half of it at least. @Aran @Madhukar RE: We're Still Here - Maw - Sep 01 2020 Madhukar did not expect it. It seemed the accusatory fool had actually listened. The first shock. But the next was... far greater. The skin began to peel from it-- wounds, like the fluffy's, but forming on the deer. And -- since Madhukar couldn't just keep staring at the grotesque scene, she had to look elsewhere -- disappearing from the fluffy it seemed. In some capacity. Madhukar jaw fell open. Power. Power to match her own. Power in the opposite direction; the power to heal instead of the power to hurt and keep hurting. While her energy was so much, while it craved the act of giving and striking, this power... it wanted to take. Take the pain. Scoop it up and carry it away. Madhukar's eyes fell to the floor, for a glance, and then back up. Frozen in time. Not just frozen, not just reversed -- shifted. "Amazing..." The words came out a soft whisper, only really meant for herself. But perhaps in her shock she'd spoken too loudly. Perhaps the other two could've heard it. It wouldn't matter. Once it was done, Madhukar took two steps back. Then three more. 'There's nothing I can say, is there?' Was this to be a hit and run? Her entire process here had been derailed for the worse. Was it time to go? Without a word? Without-- without an apology? 'It wouldn't help. The deer helped them. You've done enough.' Madhukar began to head closer towards a tunnel. An exit. She had to get away-- @Comet @Aran (y'all can stop her if you want, she's not leaving yet) RE: We're Still Here - Aran - Sep 01 2020 The pain started to ebb away into a burning sensation that wasn't like what it was before. It still hurt, like a damn bitch. But ignoring it was going to be easier. Hopefully he could figure out a way to properly fix it later - just more scars to add to his hundreds of tiny ones. At least this one would look cool, he guessed. The cat started to step away and that just made him even more mad. "If you move I'll use my magic on you again." he said before turning back to comet. "You both need to take responsibility for your actions." He tried to cast another spell at the wolf. RE: We're Still Here - Aran - Sep 01 2020 That cat owed Aran a whole ton of shit for this. He had never used that spell before (failed timeline) and didn't even know he had it before then. Not knowing felt a hell of a lot better than knowing. He had half the brain to transfer the wounds that he put on himself onto the cat. Show her how it felt to feel like you were burning alive. "I'm going to try to make sure those burns don't get infected." he said to the wolf, still ignoring the cat. If the cat ran, he would just find a way to hunt her down. He didn't see many casting entire bolts of lightning in the caves. RE: We're Still Here - Aran - Sep 01 2020 After both of those spells went through, Aran turned back to the cat. Stomping closer he bent down to make eye contact. His expression wouldn't show much emotion besides the twitch of one of his eyes. "You owe me for that. I have no idea why the hell you thought that whatever you did was a good idea, but it wasn't. I'm sure you're traumatized enough from almost killing someone, but you'd better think before you use magic before you run into someone you can't take down." he growled out. Aran raised his head back up. "You should go grovel at that wolf's feet." @Comet @Madhukar RE: We're Still Here - Comet - Sep 01 2020
Comet stayed in the snow as Aran cast the spells to keep infection away from her wound. Well that was something she had never thought of: infection. She really needed to study more about healing if she wanted to help others.
@Madhukar @Aran RE: We're Still Here - Maw - Sep 01 2020 'If you move I'll use my magic on you again.' No, yeah, she deserved that. The cat halted, shame beginning to coarse and pulse through every vein and artery in her body. Shame and... and... 'You both need to take responsibility for your actions.' But HOW?? How was she supposed to do that?! What did they even WANT besides just wanting her to GET AWAY AS FAST AS POSSIBLE?! 'You owe me for that.' That she did. She'd asked the medic to either get or be a medic, and they had, so you know what? Fair point. Madhukar's jaws clenched shut, her eyes boring into her paws. The only thing moving was her lungs, it felt like, and even that somehow felt-- feltwrong. '...you'd better think before you use magic before you run into someone you can't take down.' She wished she could. 'You should go grovel at that wolf's feet.' Again, SHE WISHED SHE COULD. But-- but-- Madhukar swiveled around and stumbled over towards the fluffy. She stopped about twenty pawsteps away from them [Comet] and bowed her head. "I-- I..." Nothing would come out. 'Just sputtering a single noise over and over again will never count as an apology, and it isn't even on the same PLANE OF EXISTENCE as GROVELING.' "I'sorry." The words were slurred together, then chopped up, then slid out too softly and too quickly to really catch. Madhukar closed her eyes, keeping her head down as if it was weighed down by a ball and chain. 'You have to take this, Madhukar. This isn't even BAD.' Yeah. No, she agreed. She'd earned this. She'd earned more than this. And yet the fluffy was still trying to be kind to her?! 'Stop that,' she commanded in thought alone. She didn't have the guts to actually say it to the fluffy's face. @Comet @Aran RE: We're Still Here - Aran - Sep 01 2020 "Don't thank me. I just didn't want to watch you die." he sneered out to the canine. The cat didn't seem to want to move at all. Aran decided that he couldn't blame her for not wanting to move, even if she herself caused that situation in the first place. Aran still wanted, to see what the feline would do. A sorry excuse for an apology was muttered and Aran rolled his eyes. Before trying that spell again to shove half of those injuries onto the cat. She deserved to hold them as much as the wolf did. And he would have less injuries to worry about if it worked. The same thing that happened with comet before would happen again, except half of the pain Aran was feeling was now gone. Even if the whole... skin thing was gross. "If that's all I'll be leaving. You can find me in Eridanus to speak later, cat." he said after that was over. "I'll be waiting." @Comet @Madhukar RE: We're Still Here - Comet - Sep 01 2020
She gave a nod at the cat who murmured their apologies.
Comet didn't quite agree with Aran's words. She still thought he was kind of the inside, he probably didn't want to show it. Or maybe it was because she couldn't bear to think that he would have hurt himself like that only because the cat forced him to. Aran cast the same spell again, and she watched as half of his lightning injury went onto the cat. Well that was one way to do things. But she would've borne all the pain for herself if she was in his shoes. The deer announced their leave, and Comet decided it was time for her to go too. "Exit unless stopped." @Aran @Madhukar |
