Joy Ride - Kaimana - Jun 19 2021 Kaimana awoke from her chrysalis. A cheery pink coral cage, this deep underwater... it just seemed to make sense! And now, Kaimana discovered as she emerged into water, so did she. There was no panic, Kaimana was not one to panic, but there was a primal instinct to surface. Not too far overhead was air, but as Kaimana swam up to greet it, she found, just before resurfacing, that... she didn't need to. She looked back at her chrysalis, bits of broken coral drifting through the waters. She had always felt belonging here, but now that belonging seemed... how to put it... without restraint? She grinned. After retrieving her items from the Guardian, Kaimana returned the item enchanted with water breathing as she had planned. Before, the plan had been set in order to avoid consequence, and now... well. The grin hadn't left her face; it may be frozen there for all eternity! Was that the gift Master Farina had given? No; they had given something greater. Kaimana wondered what she could give back... She resurfaced to put on the earring she had found. It was a beautiful thing, a treasure of the ocean, just like Levi. It was a strange sensation to have something in her ear, just dangling (or floating) there, but... it did not feel unwelcome. Actually, it rather suited her, or so she thought when she looked at her reflection in the water. As Kaimana recalled, she had seen within this earring a magic of some sort. She wondered what kind of magic it could be. Text. RE: Joy Ride - Game Master Dark - Jun 20 2021 The hook--meant to poke through a pierced hole--was not a very stable one for merely looping over an ear. It wouldn't stay put in such a way; unless Kaimana found some other method of securing it, it would likely slip off and quickly become lost underwater. And undoubtedly paws would not be a method to attach it--perhaps someone else could help her with that, given time. If she could get it safely to the surface, she might find some decent way to wear it.
For now, however, its effects did become apparent: the cat's already strong night vision would intensify, the low-light reflective sheen of the eye strengthening. Distant objects gained clarity, even underwater: the shadows were half lifted from the darkest corners. It wasn't perfect, but the jewelry clearly held magic of some kind.
