Chaos-Two held Nibbles in their arms, unable to wipe a happy grin off their face. Khavur knew of Nibbles but there was someone else who they wished to show... Aurelia.
They pet Nibbles gently, hopefully keeping him occupied enough with the sweet grasses and clovers they held in their hand. So far he was a pretty chill and calm rabbit, who found safety in Chaos-Two's arms, a fact they were relieved about. As long as they could continue to provide safety and comfort to the small creature, they were happy.
Nibbles didn't react, mostly because he was rather occupied with his meal. Priorities.

"Hello Chaos-Two, I am here, who do I have the pleasure of meeting with you today?"
She approached, slowing down to a trot with a vaguely inquisitive look on her face if her head tilt was anything to go by. What were they holding? All eyes open and alert, some on Chaos-Two, others trying to get an understanding of what they held in their arms. It was- something so incredibly small, like that of the food Overseer Cain had brought her; but this wasn't a rat-was it? Was this-food?
No, Chaos-Two held them close and was in fact feeding the small critter in their arms too. This was in many ways remarkably different than any time she had eaten any lesser gembound...so, what was this? This little creature they held so close and so dear. A friend?

Chaos-Two trotted to meet her and quickly lead their fellow valkhound to their nest for some privacy. They crawled into it and sat down before offering the rabbit out to her.
They were very proud of Nibbles as he purred softly, content with the situation. He continued to nibble on the clover still in his mouth and sniffed in the direction of Aurelia, curious.

With this offer of the tiny creature came an explanation. Ah, Nibbles was their name...That though was awfully close to what one might call a snack, but evidently, she was right with her gut feeling being that they weren't. Chaos-Two had saved them during a test, and from a terrible illness to it seemed. She focused on the small creature before her, they were bonded to Chaos-Two, they were a familiar. That sounded nice she mused, a smile still on her maw as she watched Nibbles continue to well nibble on the clover they had. And upon Nibbles's curious sniff or two and hearing Chaos-Two's very own content purr she too let out her own. Soft and fluttering with curiosity and appreciation of her family sharing this experience with her.
She wondered what one would do with a familiar, and that became clear when she was asked about petting him- and that he was not for eating. Chaos-Two seemed to be softly stressing the fact that this lesser gembound was a friend, not food. Good. Aurelia would remember that.
She inhaled, happily offering out her hands in an attempt to hold them as she nodded enthusiastically, poised and ready. And while her hands were perhaps a bit unusual to some they had remarkable dexterity, the thumb seemed to especially help in that. If she could hold a meal or even lift rocks and items with ease, certainly a Nibbles would be easy, no?
"Nibbles, well hello there."
She greeted them.
"I would very much like to hold them now. I will be gentle."
She wiggled her hands in place, stretching them out a little bit further before herself now in anticipation.
"I am ready to receive the Nibbles-what...is petting by the way?"
She wasn't entirely sure what the action entailed but, perhaps she would just mimic Chaos-Two's own actions that she had watched along the way. Which- reminded her.
"How did you do on your test Chaos-Two? Was it one for training? Why was Nibbles there?"
She was very curious.

Chaos-Two gently set Nibbles in Aurelia's hands, stroking the rabbit's fur as he shifted to face them, continuing to eat happily. He wasn't whale-eyed, though he was staring at Aurelia's claws with distrust. He didn't know her and didn't trust her like Chaos-Two, but as long as they were they were there, he'd be okay.
They stroked Nibbles' soft fur and sighed happily, happy to have a small little animal to comfort them. It'd be nice having a creature like him around.
Chaos-Two was saddened by their own behavior and their hand slower, the rabbit perking up and giving them a gentle nip. They flinched and blinked, continuing as they were quickly snapped out of their self-deprecating thoughts, unaware of what the rabbit did.

Chaos-Two explained to her what petting was, which she apparently knew of it just by different means and not the name. Her Overseer Cain had rubbed their flank against her's, that was similar no? A way to show affection instead of simply reaching out to pet one with their hands too.
"Oh- petting I see, that is similar to when one rubs flanks together no? My Overseer Cain did that when I had emerged from my chrysalis. Perhaps I will try to pet them too, and others with permission from them of course."
She smiled softly, it was a fond memory even if it was just a few days or so ago. Still, she watched Chaos-Two pet Nibbles, it was perhaps a bit difficult for her to pet them exactly how she wanted to as they were seated in the palm of her hands at the moment. Regardless she settled for using her thumbs, gently petting the sides of the lesser gembound softly and as slowly as she could without causing any possible distress.
As Chaos-Two told her of their test she continued to thumb at Nibbles, some eyes flickering back and forth from Chaos-Two to Nibbles. Some eyes though remained focused on her companion as they recalled to her of their test. The tale was fascinating if- a bit unusual and a twinge sad...She frowned slightly at a few of the details, maw opening just a smidge as if she were to speak but no words came.
Why were there so many sick lesser?... Who put the stones there, who was Emuh- did they set the test up for Chaos-Two? Did that involve catching and letting these little lessers fall ill? How did one do all that? Did Emuh know ahead of time? Would she have to do something similar, she wasn't sure if she could heal anyone to be honest, most of her attributes seemed to be for- well Chaos, seemingly well-controlled Chaos but Chaos nonetheless.
But, she was happy to hear Chaos-Two had passed their test! Granted- Chaos-Two seemed sad about whatever transpired in the test though. It was perhaps the unneeded deaths of the lessers but...Chaos-Two did manage to save one, and that in and of itself was better than none. And well they passed, that too counted for something. But before she could speak she focused particularly hard on when Nibbles had given them a gentle nip. There was no blood from what she could tell, she was quite thankful for that fact. But whatever the little lesser did certainly helped move Chaos-Two from whatever sorrowful thoughts were swimming around inside their head.
"I'm sorry about the others. But you did a wonderful job with Nibbles here. They look to be quite healthy, and happy. You did well!"
She ever so slightly lifted her hands as if to stress that, this, this here is Nibbles. But Chaos-Two already knew that, Aurelia was just perhaps a bit expressive with her hands if they were out in front of her it seemed.
"I too am very happy to hear you passed this Emuh's test. Though I knew you would before the end of your retelling of it."
She smiled at them, all eyes closed in genuine praise. It may not be much coming from her given her current position but she would not hide her feelings of pride, especially when it came to family.
"Sounds like a long journey too, I made a similar journey before I was brought here. I believe I am from that place, Polaris? And it sounds like Nibbles is from there too? How lovely! You did well- it is no small journey!
She peered at Nibbles a bit closer in excitement, this little lesser had made such a long journey- and Chaos-Two had to herd them too! So much work and they didn't lose them along the way? Quite the feat!

Chaos-Two ever so gently picked up Nibbles and set him in their lap, scooching closer so Aurelia could pet properly,
They were immensely amused at the idea of someone petting the Overseer. Surely they wouldn't stand for such a thing.
They stroked his ears and leaned down to kiss then, giggling when the rabbit immediately sat up to 'kiss' them back, booping his muzzle against their own.
They looked up at Aurelia and smiled gently, reaching out to take her hand,

She hummed softly, listening to Chaos-Two as she continued to pet Nibbles; being as gentle as she could. This often led her to barely touch the tiny familiar but- better softer than sorry. Though there really was nothing for her to worry about if one was to be honest. She had no intentions of harming Nibbles, nor did she ever think she would. It was perhaps due to the sheer size difference- and the knowledge that her claws could very well be used to injure that caused her to be so overtly gentle, at least till she was sure in her own strength and ability. She was still so very young after all.
She did learn that perhaps her Overseen Cain had nuzzled her instead of petting her. She was glad to know the proper word for such, though regardless of the phrase she was very happy to receive such loving attention and care from them. Perhaps she would still try to pet them though, with either a hand or tail- with their permission of course. Though she'd find that out in time, hopefully, it'd go well as she looked up to and cared for them a great deal. Though now wasn't the time to reflect on all of that. She was here with Chaos-Two and Nibbles, so she'd focus on them.
Chaos-Two spoke of the other lessers, which much to both their relief were healed when they had left the trial. She was glad to learn this, though she was still a bit curious as to how all those lesser were driven ill. Ah well- perhaps a question for her to stow away for the time when she was to meet Emuh, whenever that was.
"I am happy to know they were healed. You did save them, and Nibbles with your actions, as much as you were frightened. Be proud."
She smiled, remaining silent for a moment, watching Nibbles give Chaos-Two a kiss in return, his nose booping their muzzle. It was sweet. Though when Chaos-Two spoke up again she didn't expect herself to be one of the ones they cared about. She felt incredibly warm, pale skin writhing over her back as she smiled sappily. All six golden eyes were focused on Chaos-Two now as she searched for words. She was very happy to hear this. It was the first time she had heard such so vocally open and welcomed of course. Others weren't as vocal with such phrases, instead giving looks or phrases that- to her still felt the same but; to hear it so openly from another well it was a desire she had wanted since before she had hatched from her chrysalis.
"That is- words are hard for me to find"
She needed a moment. Hidden muscles rippling beneath pale flesh- it spread over her chest and arms if only momentarily. She inhaled sharply then finding the words. Her voice was laced with excitement and newfound energy as the unusual purr in her chest only grew.
"I am so happy to hear that! I find that I care a lot about you too Chaos-Two! If I ever need anything I will come to you- and even though I am not fully capable of much yet I hope you know you can do the same. I will always welcome you!
She smiled like that of the Cheshire cat, flashing teeth momentarily as she happily wiggled in place with newfound enthusiasm. It was a stark comparison to how she normally carried herself. Once stoic, prim, and proper almost with growing grace now a wiggling entity who was filled with both enthusiasm and love, and most of all happiness to where she could barely keep it contained.

Chaos-Two was utterly delighted by Aurelia's words, both of her praise and her acceptance of their admittance. They felt almost emotional as they set Nibbles down to eat, moving forward to take one of the Valkhound's hands into their own, happy as they could possibly be.
They shook their head and reached up to gently take Aurelia's head into their hands, holding it gently. After a moment they nuzzled her, and though they couldn't purr, they hummed, a sound of comfort and happiness they rarely made.
Chaos-Two picked up Nibbles and stood, offering a hand to help Aurelia up (though she probably didn't need it, being a quadruped),
Like a pibling sharing a nice afternoon with their niece, Chaos-Two felt a little like taking a relative out for a lunch date, or a trip to the mall. Something shared between two individuals for fun.

But that was a lot of deep thinking, and while she thought about it for a moment it didn't stay long. It was instead carefully filed away for another time of deep reflection. Though she did know that even if Master Vargas did not care for bonds and how they might make one stronger, she felt her bonds with them, Overseer Cain and Chaos-Two were something that would help her improve. That drive to protect them and to make them proud. That drive to grow ever stronger by the day.
One hand became two and Chaos-Two nuzzled her. She moved a tad closer to nuzzle them in return, her purr still ever idling only to rev a bit louder in comfort and happiness that fluttered and crawled beneath her skin.
"I am excited too! I hope I can grow in a way that will be good enough, I want to do well for all of you!"
She smiled, softly laughing alongside Chaos-Two. She seemed perhaps surprised for a moment as it was the first time she had laughed. It was foreign to her but it felt so natural, a happiness that bubbled up to be heard by everyone in the immediate vicinity. Which was well, Chaos-Two and Nibbles.
Chaos-Two had offered her a hand, one which she took regardless of if she really needed it or not. She did rise to her back legs, an odd balance to see her perform but it seemed natural in its own way. Aurelia balanced herself for a few more moments, listening to Chaos-Two's invite to Pegasus. One she wasn't quite sure if she was allowed, she had no spoken permission to leave Draco just yet. Perhaps she would visit Master Vargas in question. She was still learning and being trained, and knowing one's territory was just as important was it not?
She hummed in thought now only to comfortably assume the quadruped position as if she was none the wiser of her previous stance.
"I would love to! But- I do not know if I am allowed to leave Draco just yet...maybe I can go ask Master Vargas? I have not had fruits before, so maybe he will allow me the kindness to try in Peagsus."
She really wanted to go to Peagsus, to spend time with Chaos-Two and Nibbles. Perhaps she could find a way to train and grow while she was there to appease both her Master and herself. She wasn't one to slack in her efforts, and well nobody would know the answer if nobody asked. It was better to ask and be told no than to never ask at all she mused.
