Lore Writing Contest!

Another contest is on the horizon, and we think you guys will LOVE this one! The lore writing contest, also titled Tell Us A Story will be all about writing a story about Origin Cave from the perspective of your characters. You may enter as many stories as you like! Have fun!

It Takes A Village Contest Update

Remember the deadline for this contest is August 5th! This means that all relevant threads should be complete by then. We may offer an extension of any threads are shown to be close to finishing, but as of yet no extension has been given so all participants should continue as though the deadline remains the 5th.

Word of the Day!

We have successfully implemented the planned Word of the Day feature! While it was initially planned to be a weekly word, the word changes daily beyond our control, but that just makes even funner! Using the Word of the Day in a post at least once will earn you 2ʡ per post. However, the word will appear as underlined in posts, and if the word is not used in the proper context in your post (it has to be IC!) the 2ʡ reward from that post will be removed. Also, you will not earn magicka from adding the word after editing your post - it must be present the first time you write your post. If we find anybody deleting and reposting in order to gain the magicka reward, we will be warning them and deducting the points (trust us, we'll know).

Art Forum Reminders!

This is just a reminder to everyone that making threads requesting art is not allowed. This clutters up the forum and neglects those users who have set up studios for the purpose of taking requests. Remember, even if there are no studios open to take requests, you can purchase a custom avatar or table from the Magicka Market. Or if that isn't a feasible option, just wait - somebody will be open soon! If the staff see any more request threads, we will be deleting them and issuing a gentle reminder of the rules.

Vote for Origin!
At the bottom of the index in our affiliates section we have a button for Animus Top 50. If you'd like to help out raising awareness about Origin, you can click that button and vote for us! Of course this isn't necessary, only a small favor to Origin should you choose to do it.

Thread Sweep
During the thread sweep, all threads that haven't been posted in since July 5th were archived. Any thread archived can be requested to be restored via the Update Me! page.

Breeding Season
Origin's first breeding season is upon us! Remember, your characters can only conceive a maximum of three children. Ideally, they should be with 1 partner. You MUST post a new thread for each litter by using the form here!

Fishing for a Family
In the wake of all the chaos in Maji Walezi, Fisher finally finds reprieve in the form of Black who comes to retrieve him. Before Fisher leaves, however, he is met by Makyna who tries to apologize. Fisher neglects to accept her apology and takes his leave - if he was ever a member of Maji Walezi in the first place, he isn't anymore.

Story Telling - Two
Clover enlightens the Gembounds of Cetus with another story. The young deer is quickly becoming known for her penchant for spinning fantastical tales involving those present at her story telling sessions; who knows how this story will go, or what kind of adventures it will inspire?

Beaten But Not Broken
Did you want a taste of this month's Pair of the Month? How about reading this thread? Its sure to break your heart, and then put it back together again, and then break it even more, but I'm pretty sure you'll feel great by the end of it. Hopefully. I mean, what can go wrong?

Dragon gets his first taste of fatherhood... and its really adorable and a little weird, but mostly adorable.

Quest: The Fiery Pit P2
After waking the massive dragon Raheerah, he proceeds to absolutely obliterate the Gembounds fighting him; as it turned out, they all decided to attack one another as soon as he showed his face, which shouldn't be surprising, considering Raheerah is chaos embodied. After turning everybody into roast Gembound, Raheerah escapes through the air vents in the ceiling of the room, leaving a trail of scorched rock on his way to Polaris, which he's also planning to set on fire.
