A thirsty chick - Rune - Aug 21 2021
Rune was just a small chick roaming throughout the caves, her home. She knew that the caves belonged to all of the gembounds, not just her. But she was ready to defend her home at any cost. For now the chick couldn't do much due to her small size, especially now that she was thirsty. Her small legs carried her to The Eyes, a fresh source of drinking water. She walked over quickly and lowered her head, then proceeded to drink. The ostrich chick drank for a good moment, then finished once she was full and hydrated. She decided to sit not too far from The Eyes to rest. She has been very busy exploring the caves and seeing its wonders. Even though was alone, that didn't mean she couldn't take care of herself. Yes, Rune was very capable of finding her own food and water. Her defense, for now, is hiding. But once she reached 4 cycles, she wouldn't have to be as wary because she would be bigger, heavier and more dangerous.
