That's Life - Galleon - May 11 2022
Galleon sat at the entrance to Hydra. A hot wind rustling her fin. She'd had enough of the rest of the caves. It was exhausting, painful. Not just the walk here from the tournament, which had been its own trial. But everything else. Her hatching in freezing Ursa. Her brief stints in whatever patches of sand she found. And least of all her trials in the deathmatch. Galleon tightened her jaw, and the marred skin beneath pulled in warning. She exhaled, feelings the sensation of air move through her fin. RE: That's Life - Game Master Dark - May 12 2022 Despite the insidious nature of Hydra--the monsters lurking beneath the sands, in the sky, in every crevice--nothing emerged to trouble Galleon.
Perhaps it was her own size, and speed, while maneuvering through the dunes that kept the sandworms, for now, at bay: something as large as many of their own kind, yet swift and confident. It gave them pause. In fact, Galleon was so safe that she'd likely be left alone, unless she chose to instigate deliberately: the beasts of Hydra (undoubtedly wondering what fresh hell had spawned her) would avoid Galleon for at least a full day. (Or the end of this thread, whichever comes first.) @Galleon |
