Appearance: About fifteen feet long in total, half of which is tail, and very noodly. Covered in long, soft white feathers, with thickly-feathered feet, and a somewhat canine face with feather-tufted ears. Zygodactyl fore- and hind-feet (two talons point forward, two back on each foot) made for preying on smaller animals on the wing. The diaphanous wings, visible scutes on the legs and snout, eyes, keratin horns and spines, and soft tissues like the nose are all shimmering, iridescent gold, sometimes with emerald highlights in bright light. Capable of true flight with the strange wings, which vibrate and buzz like an insect's. The tail beneath the longer feathers ends in a sharp, pointed, keratin tip capable of slashing.

Up for adoption! Because this is a late hatch (you can choose to have them pop out late, or we can backdate hatching), I'll choose an adopter sooner rather than later so if you want to apply, just post here with relevant info. Ex. a name, character concept, etc.--anything you think relevant!
My only request is that Ember's present for their hatching; Ember himself would like to look after them at least for awhile! A further relationship is up to you/the character, though!

Summary: A friendly, artsy, nervous noodle
Title: Spark
Gender: Genderless, they/them pronouns by default but that might change as
Personality:
Gentle, sensitive, creative, cautious
A late birth, their youngest years will be coloured by their life giver's care for them, early connection instilling a deep, healthy empathy for those around them, and especially those who treat the hybrid with kindness. Spark is also a gentle soul, maybe even gentler than Ember. They wish to see those around them flourish with the same kind of love that they were given. To actively attempt to harm another is not in their nature.
Similar to their namesake, Spark is a fragile thing. They have not needed to adapt to their circumstance, and when they are inevitably introduced to the harsher sides of life it may take them a while to recover. They still have a good chance at bouncing back though, there is a hidden resilience in them that has yet to show.
They keep the spontaneity of an artist, visceral instinct to create something new pulling them along their journey. What they are unable to verbalise they will put into what they make, what they see in their minds eye they will bring to reality. Or more accurately, attempt to. They will be happy to follow their father into the forge, but regardless of what occupation they may take they will always be happy creating.
As a child, they will be naturally cautious of the world around them. While they will not flinch at roaring flames or hot steel, other gembounds are another conversation entirely, and they will start off socially awkward and nervous around strangers. This view may be reversed as their magic develops, fire is a dangerous thing after all.
Extra stuff that I totally didn’t forget to add yesterday: will use the white design, also planning on having them leave the chrysalis late if I get em [more worried angst fuel for poor Ember?]
