It's silent in Orion, like it usually is. Haunted ruins pass by as Tourmaline wanders down abandoned streets. The quiet is not something Tourmaline isn't used to - she's been in Orion briefly times before. Still, she hasn't explored it as thoroughly as she'd like.

So that's how she found herself starting up the steps of one particularly tall tower. Golden eyes and bright tourmaline reflect in the quartz around her as she steps, steps, steps up the staircase.

I wonder how long this has been here. Ages, surely? she finds herself wondering.

The yawning crystals are dazzling as she passes them, distorted reflections and refractions of her face dancing in the dim light. They're enrapturing.

"Maybe I could take one..." she muses, before pressing up against one of the smaller crystals. It's stuckj fast of course, but maybe there's something Tourmaline can do to knock a piece loose.

The accretions of dazzling crystals, of course, don't respond. They simply stare back with Tourmaline's own eyes.

Should I use my magic? she wonders, stepping up another staircase. It doesn't seem the most wise, considering she is high up, but the possibility of a trinket to take home is all to alluring.

With a huff, she focuses on one low facet, willing it to somehow just... come apart. With a loud CRACK! it does exactly that.

"Huh. That was easy."
